today i’m thinking about bucky’s sister and i’m sad about it
i’m just the math lady meme tryna figure out why they keep referring to bucky as white wolf when it doesn’t correlate with who white wolf is in the comics
i’m rewatching ca:ws and like,, why would they have rumlow and other agents try to take out steve in broad daylight in an elevator?? this is a very trained, intelligent agency with some of the highest skilled operatives and strategists....and they decided to fight the super soldier straight on instead of like drugging him or something

muttered curse echoes in the empty room as blood-slick fingers fumble with a needle. he never was much good at a self patch up. it’s delicate work and while his arm is designed for more than shooting guns, it doesn’t always lend itself useful to situations like this. he needs two good hands and right now he might as well not have his prosthetic on for all the good it’s doing. bucky almost startles when he hears a foot shuffling against tile. brows raise and his head quickly lifts, gaze settling on the woman. not a threat. his shoulders relax again and he glances back down at his still bleeding side then back up towards jemma. “ mind getting your hands a little dirty? ”
i simultaneously enjoy that anthony and seb’s friendship is such that they have no reservations about being affectionate and carry that into their roles. while also deciding to read it as incredibly gay and queer coded on screen.
people bucky simps for without reservation: natasha romanoff and sam wilson
She’s mine. Find him.

he’s been telling himself it isn’t that bad for the past hour and at some point, he’s gonna have to admit it’s a lie. some things can’t be sloppily patched up so he can move on with his mission ( he’s not frank castle for fuck’s sake ). so here he is, uncertain if this is even a good idea. it’s hard to know where he really stands with most people, but the people he has any standing with in general is limited so he’s going to take his chance. metal hand reaches up to knock against the door with a strange clunking sound that could be likely to give away who it is just by the noise alone. good arm is tugged against his middle to protect it’s already battered shoulder. when the door swings open his gaze lifts to meet sharon’s. “ i could use a bandaid. ”
bucky + arm
bucky has been given a serum that enhances him, but it is not the same as the captain america serum. it’s made him so he is at peak human condition and will remain fit and above average in almost every area, but he’s still very human. his muscles get worn out and he has phantom pains in his arm. he gets knots in his shoulders from the weight of the prosthetic. any time he has his arm replaced or repaired it changes parts of the weight of it and he sometimes has to re-adjust to how it feels.
it’s part of why, despite the admonition of people like tony, he never has backups. he prefers trying to keep the same one for as long as possible. and would rather repair one he’s already familiar with than have to re-familiarize himself with a new one. it’s uncomfortable and inconvenient so he avoids replacements at all costs.
despite a lot of current comic art, bucky continues to use the white star. whether it’s the full one that looks like cap’s shield or just a white start without a background, he doesn’t return to the red star. that symbolizes winter soldier as a red room operative and a tool for russia. so he chooses a star that represents who he is now.

hands are push into the pockets of his jacket, gaze lingering on the floor before they slowly lift towards the young woman. in many ways, he has always been left to fend for himself. he learned a long time ago the only person who you can ever truly depend upon is yourself. and now, it only seems more true. it’s hard to know who to trust ( even harder still to ascertain who would even dare to give him a chance ). there are gambles he just isn’t ready to make yet. it’s why he’s even in this position, hiding away from anyone who would recognize him. people who might even offer him help. he isn’t ready for the strings that would come attached.
rapunzel isn’t any of them, though. she’s just a good person. a kind one, at that. a friend. and god knows he’s short on those. “ some things...i’m not sure are meant to be shared. ”
the real person bucky needs to make amends with is whoever’s car steve and nat ‘borrowed’ that bucky totally wrecked
if bucky annoys u chances are ur his friend
tbh i think for mcu/616 mixed verses i’ll really just plot individually with each person because what each portrayal feels is flexible will be different? bucky being a child soldier is really important to who he is for me but i’m happy to find ways to work it into an mcu timeline for mcu based steves and such
