Every time I see a harmless little post of "How many shots would it take for me to sleep with the BG3 companions" it always just devolves into Halsin hate.

Im giggling along until it reaches some abysmal "NO AMOUNT OF ALCOHOL IN THE WORLD WOULD EVER MAKE ME GET NEAR HALSIN HES SO GROSS"

And honestly. Seriously. What the fuck are you all doing to your Halsins????? Halsin is probably the greenest flag ever. He is respectful and kind and he never once pushed sex on my Tavs. I went a friendship route with him most of the game and he was perfectly fine???? Jocasta did take him up on his offer in Act 3, and then after that he's been nothing but respectful and nice.

Halsin haters, I want to smack you over the head with a massive club. You all suck.

AND for the record, do NOT use this post as a jumping off point to hate on ANY of the companions. I DO NOT support ANY companion hate. They are ALL wonderful and I will ALSO hit you over the head with a club if you're hating on any of them. I mean it. All of those companions are wonderful and my best friends and I don't hate a single one of them.

The haters act like he holds down Tav and forces himself on them in Bear Form with the way some people talk about him. "He's such a sex pest" gurl WHERE?? In what UNIVERSE is he pushy about sex? Are you picking flirty options and getting mad he responds?

Is being a flirty person by nature BAD?? Like ALL the companions are flirty-coded when they start to like you, it's how the romance starts? They shoot their shot?? YOU CAN SAY NO???

Two things I'll never understand based on the Fandom perception of characters. I thought Gale would be damn near stealing magic items without asking and sucking up my high level shit. And I thought Halsin was going to be way worse and creepy and pushy about sex, when he couldn't be farther from it. Is the fandom playing this game with their eyes closed? Did I fucking miss something??? Because I sure as hell didn't. Fuck outta here, Haters. I've had enough.
