I’ve given in and made a Tumblr account! I’d like to post more fics in the coming year, so I will be posting snippets of WIPs here on Wednesdays to encourage myself to write more. Welcome!

omgg I love your Nejiten in the everyone lives au, and especially Neji as sensei, we definitely need more of that 🙏, also in a draw I saw that Nejiten has children?? any headcanons of them as parents? Btw I've started drawing and your style is a great inspiration for me🤍

Neji and Tenten have good cop/bad cop parents in my everyone lives au.

Because Tenten was the last on the mom train for the Konoha 11, she sort of got everyone’s hand-me-down’s and was too nice to say no. Their son had a couple of Metal’s jumpers, some of Sarada’s unisex outfits, some of Boruto’s shirts, some cute floral blankets from Inojin, etc..

their son’s name (Hizamaru) is a nod to Neji’s father while also being a part of the “brother katana”, the unmarked blade to be precise. So yeah, he was a little sentimental with the name choice, but also chose something he knew Tenten would love

Neji wasn’t quite sure he knew what to do with a newborn, but he adapter very quickly

Tenten needed a little extra moment to get the hang of it, but that figure 8 rock Neji suggested worked

No one could tell Tenten to not have the baby at the weapons shop. It wasn’t like she was super busy, leaving him unattended, or like he was moving around on his own effectively 🤨

She did let him teeth on a blunt kunai, but that’s her secret

Neji was sulky when he found out that Hizamaru took his first steps when he was away on a mission. Tenten made fun of him for this because what did he expect her to do, knock the baby over until he got home to witness it? Lowkey she could’ve at least recorded it

Neji is the fussy-crunchy parent. All healthy food, can’t go outside with a runny nose, etc.

Tenten let their son play in (and eat a little) mud. You live and learn, y’know

She’s also the type of mom to spin him around the living room by one arm and one leg so he can get some serious air

Neji wasn’t ready for when Hizamaru was old enough to ask about the cursed seal missing off of him. They’re the branch family, right? Where did his go? It was a heavy topic, but he was proud of how well his son handled the kid friendly version of him dying for a few minutes

They told extremely different bedtimes stories. It was always ghost stories with mom, so Neji had to take over. If his son wanted to hear about some moon prince, he’d tell him about a moon prince… and why if he ever sees some white haired man in strange robes with his eyes shut, he better tell a trusted adult IMMEDIATELY

Neji and Tenten both make big deals out of birthdays. It’s actually a bit ridiculous how over the top they’re willing to go and Gai sensei is more than happy to help distract the little guy while his parents set up for his party

They are both very protective of their kid. Any news about him getting hurt and they’ll drop what they’re doing to go find him

Tenten bragged all the time about how smart her boy was, but even more so that he was actually skilled with weapons

Neji always reminds their son to remain humble (he still smirks with pride anytime his son gets high marks) and work hard

They’re those parents their kid has the strangest stories to tell others about. Like “he’s fine, mom just pinched his butt before leaving the house this morning so he’s flustered”. They think they’re being sneaky but not sneak enough

Neji - the crunchy dad he is, will make tea sandwiches whenever he knows Boruto or Himawari are coming to visit

They’ve also notice that their son has a little admirer that likes to send him messages via bugs, they’re just not sure how to approach this topic of romance with a kid and it seems pretty platonic at this point

They’re very fortunate that their son is a good child, but on the occasion he does need reprimanding, Tenten comes in with the buddy-buddy approach and Neji comes in with full authority “tell us now or else you’re grounded”. He’s got 5 minutes to explain it to his mother or he’ll have to deal with his dad. It’s teamwork
