I’ve been on a hiatus for years now because I was unhappy at work and of course, the pandemic amplified everything.

I’m in a much better place now! I actually started working at a new job (6 months in) and I’m in a really good place mentally and emotionally. So much so that reading this made me yearn to write creatively once more. And I’m not just saying it.

I’ve actually been speaking to friends and quite the common topic is how stagnated we feel in our lives at the moment - especially in terms of our jobs. Don’t get me wrong, I’m content and happy, and I don’t know if it will sound contradictive because at the same time, I feel a little flat. I miss the passionate human I once was especially when it came to writing and reading voraciously. I miss waking up and feeling super excited to tackle a new chapter. Being able to write and complete a chapter while interacting with my readers and friends on here gave me so much meaning to my life.

I’m trying very hard to find that passion again because I know my words reflect how I feel. If I feel strained or forced, the words won’t flow and I’ll end up feeling even worse than when I started!

Thank you for giving me the space to say all that! Thank you even more for understanding and just being... so appreciative of me and my works 😭 My writings on here are one of the proudest things I am of in my life. Sometimes, it saddens me to think that has just wilted away but getting messages like this and knowing people still reread my stories... feels as if they are brought back to life. So, thank you for this precious gift 🥺♥️

Hey, I'm sorry this is a very random message but after reading your story the last goodbye I just wanted to tell you how much of a great writer you are. The story was absolutely mesmerising and no matter how hard I try I will never me able to erase this from my mind I ball my eyes out every time I read this especially on the line "I'm not coming home" maybe because my worst fear is losing someone I love. I remember having sentences from the story stuck in my head - refusing to let me go until I had written it all down. I remember crying writing it myself as well. The thought of wanting to hold on and never letting go of someone who is no longer there 💔 there’s just something about angst and sadness that call to me.

Sometimes, I YouTube up heartbreaking scenes I’ve kept in my mental log just to cry. It’s cathartic in a way. I remember when I wrote my very first story - I told myself that if I could make even just one person cry, just ONE... I would have made it with my writing (in my own eyes).

I started reading Happiness without seeing that it’s not completed and while that usually goes against what I do when it comes to reading I have to say it’s so good and I’m glad I read it either way. If you ever think on publishing it and not finishing it here please let us know I’d happily pay for it! Or any of your work if you ever go down that route

I’m so sorry that Happiness is unfinished. My plan is to actually rewrite the entire story because I rushed it when I first started and as I continued, the loopholes became glaringly obvious. So much so that I could no longer ignore them :/ unfortunately, a lot in life happened and I also found my drive to write exceedingly low.

I’ve actually started writing again but I do feel a bit stuck. I sit and stare at my page with just a paragraph or two written and feel disappointed with myself. I used to be able to sit and write for hours - pouring my heart and soul into my chapters that came to me almost effortlessly. Some days, I do feel like a failure. Other days, I fear I will never feel the same spark of fervent passion I once did. And I miss that. I miss that so incredibly much. It’s become a theme in my conversation with friends.

I don’t know if it’s because I’m more content with life now. Happy. Loved. It sounds super cliched but to some extent, sadness and anger made some of my best works. I’m sorry to be moping!! Just been really trying to sit down and work through the block instead of stashing it away and losing all of my drive to write.

‘Happiness’ is a story that means a lot to me and it is one of my biggest dreams to be able to rewrite and finish it. Truly. I hope you will stick around and I hope one day, you will be able to read the last sentence to the story that will tie everything together.

Thank you for telling me that my writing is something you would pay for ♥️ One of my biggest dreams when I was very active in my writings and being on Tumblr was to be able to publish a story. OMGGG @winterisakiller - thank you, thank you, thank you! I still can’t quite believe I wrote YHMAL so many years ago (whaaaaaatttt?) and that it still lives on in the hearts and minds of some of my readers.

I’ve been dying for the Bridgerton series to come out and I have to say, I’m really excited for it because the trailer’s tone and mood is as I had imagined. I’m still holding out on the verdict of the casting though (because many a time in the past has proven that actors/actresses can come into their own when they play the role despite initial reservations).

And, it’s not sad. It makes me happy. So, so very damn happy. Thank you for this <3
