ahh wow. well. i got into winteriron back in 2014 when it was still considered a rareship. myself & my ex roleplayed tony and bucky and we started talking about them as a ship and, well. the rest is history i guess lmao.

Headcanon. Scratch that, AU? Tony is a tech wiz, Bucky is an amputee who's able to get a fancy new prosthetic as a trial subject. There's some serious flirting on Tony's part, some serious obliviousness on Bucky's part, until Nat finally snaps some sense into him. After they get together, the tabloids just go on about how Bucky is just a trophy boyfriend. Tony hurries to reassure Bucky that's not true, but Bucky thinks it's hilarious and plays it up at every event. (They live happily ever after)

How does this week work? You wonder.

It’s pretty simple, I swear! Following this post, another will appear in the next few days containing three prompts per day of the week that will run from the 22nd of July to the 28th of July.

You can choose one, two or all of them to create whatever it inspires you. You can create for each day or one or any. It’s all fine. The only constraint (and is it really one?) is the obvious one: it has to be Winteriron.

It doesn’t have to be as a romantically involved pair, you can very well write Tony and Bucky as friends, platonic soulmates, whatever suits you. All I ask is that you focus on them and not another pairing or character.

Be free and merry, create and share, we’ll love it!

Winteriron Holiday Exchange 2015

Welcome to the Winteriron Holiday Exchange 2015!

You like Tony Stark and Bucky Barnes? You’re a fan of their uncanny ability to fill every situation with drama and angst? You love to laugh at the shenanigans they get up to together? You want to make someone’s Christmas a little brighter, and receive a gift of your own in return?

Then you should definitely consider signing up!

Information:

Sign-ups are open from October 1st to October 22nd. If you want to participate, all you have to do is fill out this form. Everyone will be assigned a person to create a gift for by October 24th. 

The minimum amount of people required for the exchange to take place is 20, so share this post (even if you don’t want to participate yourself) and let your followers know. Spread the winteriron love!

There will be mandatory check-ins. Check out the exact dates here.  

The finished works will have to be posted between December 20th and December 24th. The complete list of all works will be revealed on the blog on December 25th.

Natasha’s got a weapon out and the stairwell covered between the space of one breath and the next. Hill, meanwhile, is in a ready stance but has a hand out, signaling Tony to stand down. The order chafes, but he forces his hands to relax. He’s learning about teamwork.

They wait like that for almost a minute, breathing shallowly and listening. Whoever’s approaching sounds like they’ve only just figured out what feet are for and don’t quite get how gravity factors in yet, but Tony thinks he counts three or four through the blundering.

When the stairwell door finally opens, Tony’s not expecting any of the people who fall into the room. He immediately chastises himself, because of course it’s these three.

Tony recognizes Sam Wilson from Hill’s files, although in pictures the man always looks cool and collected, not covered in blood and deeply irritated about it. He’s followed closely by a limping, furious-looking Bucky Barnes, who Tony honestly expected never to see again.

And between the two of them, they’re dragging nearly three hundred pounds of unconscious American hero.
