sakuatsu fanfic recommendations: nsfw edition 💦

sakuatsu has some of the most amazing nsfw fics and my recs will probably not even scratch the surface, but i'll try by sharing some of my favorites.

all fics are rated e. read more under the cut!

note: i'm mostly recommending plot than without plot because if i included both, this will be a very long list.

special mention: terminal curiosity it's not a nsfw rec list without terminal curiosity, so here it is. it truly deserves all the praise and every place on every rec list ever.

oneshots!

particular by rinpanna and winterwaltz6 4.7k. if you ever run out of smut to read, these two writers will sustain you for a while. i picked this one because it's about a first time trying bdsm, which you don't often see, and it almost feels like a precursor to terminal curiosity, in a way.

The Hard Stuff by cerasi 6.5k. the premise is that sakusa wants to give atsumu a bj, but what you get instead is a relationship study about boundaries and reciprocation.

first loves often lie by UnicornFlowers 6.5k. sakusa never had an orgasm before with a partner and atsumu promises to take care of him. TENDER. i read this and safe in this storm with you a lot because they're so somft and spin the same concept in entirely different ways. i adore both of these fics a lot.

Safe in this Storm with You by unscheduledmakeouts 6.7k. sakusa has never come before and atsumu helps him. extremely soft and fluffy with hurt/comfort mixed in. i come back to this often because of how tender it is.

Into Something More by cabbybaby 9.8k. sakusa catches feelings for atsumu, his fwb, and yachi suggests he reads erotica to work out his feelings. atsumu, unfortunately, catches him reading it and suggests they reenact one of the scenes.

Such a Constellation Was He to Me by jyuuichiban 11.8k. sakusa has a bunch of tattoos on his body and one night, he offers to show them to atsumu. this is beautifully written with so much body worship and symbolism behind each tattoo. it's one of my favorites <3

hustle for that muscle by unrequitedangst 13.8k. atsumu and suna bet on who'd get an underwear deal first. atsumu loses, of course, and has to ask sakusa out as a consequence. everything about this fic is hilarious, and well, atsumu does get the man in the end after suffering for it.

Miya Atsumu, Only Man Ever by ackermints 13.9k. sakusa secretly has an inarizaki jersey he bought from the spring tournament in high school when and it gets leaked. very funny premise with hinata and sakusa friendship on the side.

cut the conversation, just open your mouth by meeks00 16.2k. fwb that gets complicated after sakusa gets in trouble with the media for something he refuses to do. lots of smut, lots of tension, and a healthy dose of angst with a happy ending.

recipe for disaster by crowcrowcrow 22.9k. fwb that doubles as an atsumu character study with an emphasis on mental health. once you start reading, you can't stop, that's how gripping the prose is. there's also a sunaosa complementary fic, secret menu.

longfics!

shadow play by valyazucena 14.7k. 3/3. i went through a brief camboy phase and this is one of skts' best. atsumu throws money at a camboy named umeboshi, and, well. you can also tell where this will go. the accompanying art is also very hot.

In the End, it's a Love Story by MeikoAtsushi 26.1k. 11/11. in my notes, i labeled this as "strangely good and enjoyable" and i stand by that. sakusa is a mind reader and atsumu slowly encroaches his personal space. this is mind reading done right, fully utilizing all of sakusa's idiosyncrasies, and it's very enjoyable to read.

Other Boys in Other Ports by buttonstuck 26.5k. 3/3. space au where sakusa is a bartender and atsumu is a space sailor who visits once for three days every few months. the pining is strong and achingly tender.

Reborn From the Ashes of Who I Once Was by ainsalaco 32.3k. 8/8. trans sakusa is a retried athlete who gets tattoos to cover his top surgery scars and meets atsumu, single dad and tattoo artist. i enjoy the interactions between them, the discussions of being trans and playing sports, and of course, atsumu's daughter, who is adorable.

Teach Me, Tune Me, Tempt Me by Anonymous 38.8k. 10/10. sakusa asks atsumu to overcome all his first milestones in preparation for asking ushijima on a date, and atsumu agrees. you can guess how it ends. everything is syrupy slow and warm, and atsumu's descent into one-sided attraction aches. there's a happy ending!

Stockholm Syndrome Isn't Real by DrearyBanana 50.2k. 8/8. atsumu is kidnapped and mistaken to be osamu but is rescued by his brother's very hot rival, sakusa. i absolutely love the premise, plot, and interactions between them, and the resolution. lots of action and a very steamy smut session.

again, like this by noodletastic 55.7k. 6/6. fwb that starts in their 3rd year of high school. the smut is amazing and so is the gradual realization of feelings and romance. i also adore the sunaosa side story, the loveliest thing.

Lessons in Falling by cabbybaby 87.2k. 6/6. sakusa believes his family is cursed with doomed relationships, hence his hesitation to start something with atsumu. this is very much a sakusa-centric fic and character study with atsumu being so, so supportive. extremely gripping prose and plot, and very satisfying smut at the end.

Insert Coin To Play by fairycake 178.3k. 17/17. again, what is a nsfw fic rec list without this? like i mentioned when i rec'ed it, everything about this is top tier - the worldbuilding, prose, tension, interactions, action, and conflict. truly one fic everyone should read at least once (or more than once, it deserves that much).

denial is a river in egypt, atsumu by lunar_kaceey 186.9k. 22/22. atsumu doesn't think he's gay until sakusa proves him otherwise. this is teammates to fwb to ?? to lovers with a healthy dose of everything - angst, fluff, identity crisis, homophobia, and of course, romance.

daiya no ace is ALWAYS gonna be in the back of my brain, haha. no worries there.

i'm somewhat hopeful that the new season will bring forth a bit of a fandom resurgence.... i always find that the most inspiring part of writing! i love seeing lots of analysis floating around, new art to tickle the brain, and having folks to chat with about ideas.

if i were to write some more daiya fic in the near future, i definitely think the most likely pairings would be kuramiyu, amasawa, and miyumei. and writing kuramiyu from the renewal au verse would be a BLAST, you are soooooo onto something.

if you're still around and reading this, i'd love to know what you're most interested in seeing, especially as it relates to something in the renewal verse. a prequel get together fic? or something after the fic is over when they're more established (and probably struggling at least a little bit with how often miyuki isn't home...). given what that series is all about, i'd definitely have to include some major chrisawa background vibes, if it were post their get together!
