BEING the younger sibling, of a famous older sibling that everyone adores was NOT on my bucketlist. Of course, no words could express the happiness I had for Hyunjin. But when crazy adult fans become jealous and sends me death threats, life becomes scary. Not only that, but being in the music industry alone has been difficult.

”WHAT?”
Louis was the first to respond running to the couch. Then Ohyul and Woojin tagged along and last was Ryul who came out of the bathroom. Everyone became concern as I was still processing the information.
“Ryul and I got our first dating rumor..”
“No way…” Woojin took my phone and began reading the article. “Singer, Nari and More Vision idol rookie Ryul has been caught at 13:01pm holding hands and giving each other loving looks…”
“We barely debut…damn.” Ohyul and Woojin laugh not really caring. Afterall, they were just a different type of group and they proved it with the middle finger photo.
“Okay, but this isn’t good for me..” I groan in annoyance grabbing my phone back.
“It’ll help with promotion!” Louis exclaimed getting some snacks to eat.
“Lou is right tho. It’ll be okay. Who cares if we’re together.” Ryul bent down sending a fat kiss on my cheek.
I gripped onto his words like my life depended on it. If anything, Ryul was my anchor in situations like this. Which gave me lots of motivation and confidence to continue on.
“I’m going live on Weverse.”
Ryul spoke softly, catching my attention. It had been 5 days since the speculation and fans were dying to find out.
“You don’t need to be in it.”
One side of me wanted to run away while the other half said ‘hell yes’. So I agreed, knowing I would regret later on.
“Hello. How’s it going?”
Ryul spoke to Shotties trying to stir up some conversation. Once everything started moving in place, it was time for the huge reveal. I was sweating like a bullet train as he stared at me with a fat smirk.

I covered my face slightly as both of our shoulders touched in place.

You were seven, maybe eight. Too young to care about scraped knees or the way your lungs would burn after running too fast.
Louis chased you down the narrow street, his laugh echoing closely behind you as shoes slapped against the stone pavement. "Hé! Viens ici!" ("Hey! Come here!") He exclaimed, hands straining to reach out for you.
When you both began to feel your legs grow heavier, you collapsed beneath the shade of a tree near the sidewalk.
Louis lay on his back, staring up at the sky through the branches with a wide grin on his lips. His chest rose and fell quickly, trying to compensate for all the air he used up. Beside him, you were still giggling, face warm from both the adrenaline and the sun.
Louis was idly picking on the patch of grass next to him, and that was when he noticed it.
A small flower, growing stubbornly through a crack of the pavement. It was yellow, slightly crooked, but imperfectly perfect in all aspects.
He sat upright, plucked it from the ground with gentle fingers and held it out to you.
"Flower, for you," his cheeks are rose pink, eyes gleaming like he'd found treasure.
And as if that wasn't enough, you see him reach out for something in his pocket. A crumpled piece of paper. He smoothed it out on his propped up knee, his tongue peeking out as he folded it over and over again. He worked with swift, serious determination, and when he finished, he ended up with a small paper ring.
He slid it on your finger, then looked at you with bright eyes and a shy, yet wide grin.
"I'll marry you one day," Louis declared. There was no teasing lilt to his voice. No embarrassment—just the simple certainty of a child who knew what made him happy.
At seven, maybe eight, he felt something he didn't know the word for.
And all he knew was that he wanted to stay right there, under that tree with you, forever.

The summer days grew shorter without anyone noticing, and just like that, you were both twelve years old.
The tree stayed where it was, the streets remained unchanged—but something quiet shifted, like the world had slowed down for no reason.
Louis came to your house one late afternoon, when the sky was warm gold and the field swayed gently in the blowing winds. You were sitting in the porch swing when you saw him approach the house from a distance. Your grandparents went inside, giving the two of you some privacy.
He stood in front of you, hands fidgeting at his sides with a small backpack over his shoulders. He tried to smile when your eyes met, but it wobbled, and you knew he didn't come bearing any good news then.
"Dad says we're leaving," he said, "today..."
Today.
The word landed between the two of you—sharp and heavy. The field seemed quieter all of a sudden, like the cicadas began holding their breaths to draw out the silence.
"Korea," he added quickly, as if saying it faster would make it any easier, "my mom's there."
You nodded, because you didn't know what else to do. You feared that if you opened your mouth, you might spill out something you didn't have words for yet.
He stepped closer to you, his expression somber. For a moment, you swore he was different—he didn't look like the boy who raced you through the streets and promised you marriage under a tree. He just looked...small.
"I'll message you," he promised, again. "And I'll call. And—and when I come back, we can play again. Right here." Louis grabbed your hands, his eyes bright with hope so strong it almost hurt to look at.
You nodded again.
"Then, I'll wait," you smiled, but only because it felt like the right thing to say at the moment—it felt like something solid you could give him.
He reached out for his pocket and pulled out yet another paper ring, the paper is neater now, less crumpled and more clean. He hesitated for a moment before gently sliding it on your finger once more. "It's so you won't forget," he said, voice small but sure, "okay?"
"Nous nous reverrons sous le même ciel, je te le promets," ("We'll meet again under the same sky, I promise you.") Louis brought your hand to his lips, pressing a gentle kiss on the back of your palm.
You didn't know that promises could stretch thin with time back then. That oceans could grow wider. That tomorrow could possibly mean years.
All you knew was that Louis smiled at you like that—and it was enough for you.

Korea is louder than you expected.
Even on quieter streets, there's always something humming in the background—traffic, music from cafes, voices chattering in a language you're still learning to love. Some days, it's exciting. However, it can get overwhelming pretty fast. On days like this, you remind yourself why you're here in the first place.
The scholarship.
Your future. A promise to make a better tomorrow for your life, sworn to your grandparents who raised you ever since you were a little kid. Music production felt like the safest kind of dream, a stable ground you could stand on. You never said it out loud, but it all started because of Louis.
You remember the afternoons in France spent together sharing earphones. He once showed you how music could feel like a place to rest. Behind every chord progression, every layered beat and track was a fragment of him—he became an endless source of inspiration, and it felt right for you to share the same passion as him.
You're on your way home after a long morning, walking with earbuds shoved in your ears. You only slowed down when someone stepped into your path.
"Hi—excuse me!"
A guy waved at you, his smile a bit crooked with obvious nervousness. You look up and was stunned by the amount of cameras around. You then notice it wasn't only a boy standing before you. They all look young and sported nervous smiles.
"We're a pre-debut group," Ohyul said carefully, clearly rehearsed, "we are LNGSHOT, and we're promoting right now, please give us a moment of your time," he bowed his head low.
You almost say no out of habit, but when he bowed down, someone behind him shifted into your view.
And your breath catches.
He looks different now—styled hair, baggy streetwear and a new sense of confidence you never saw on him before. But the moment he locked eyes with you, it all falls away.
Louis freezes.
Not dramatically, and not enough for the others to notice. He just went...still. And for a second, he doesn't blink. He had your name sitting on his tongue, itching to come out, but remained unspoken. You stare back, heart pounding. You two were bound to meet someday, but you didn't expect it to happen so quickly!
He seems to be taller now, his shoulders became broader, but those eyes...those were still the same eyes that used to look at you with so much love.
"Louis?" Ohyul glanced over his shoulder, murming his name before nudging him gently, "it's your turn."
He swallows slowly.
"Ah—yeah," his voice fortunately came out steady as he steps forward, politely offering you a CD using both of his hands. "Our debut is soon, January 13th, save the date and—please check us out," his fingers began to tremble slightly, and his voice grew quieter and quieter as he spoke.
You nod slowly to his words, not trusting your voice to remain stable if you speak.
When you finally take the CD, he exhales softly. "Thank you so much!" They all collectively chanted, giving you another polite bow with a genuine smile on their faces.
He was supposed to go with his group as they continued their promotion, and you were supposed to just head back to your apartment complex—but somehow, the two of you stayed rooted in place.
While the cameras began to disperse and focus on someone new, Louis found himself watching you—gauging your every expression, from the furrow of your brows to the slight widening of your eyes.
"You're here," he says quietly in French, voice unimaginably soft and gentle.
Your chest tightened.
And for the first time since you left France, you realize something.
You didn't just come to Korea for your future.
You came back to him.

THE AMOUNT of times ohyul would skip class just to be with you was so high you would need more than two hands to count. Day by day your feelings for each other increased. From being strangers to knowing every little thing about each other. Haircuts, favorite outfit, favortie food and drinks you name it. If anyone had to guess, they would say both of you were a couple. Surprisingly (not really), though you guys were not a couple.
Winter, spring and summer went in a snap. Then fall had officially arrived.
The windy breeze was not in your favor that day. Forgetting to check the weather, you went to school in a skirt with short sleeves. Face, ears and nose bright red. Shiver to death. Sitting down at the desk you were to focused on producing your own body heat, your senses ignored the way a light scarf wrapped around you neck with a jacket including a warm hug.
“Ohyul! Scared the shit out of me!”
“Maybe if you weren’t dying from hypothermia..”
“shut up. Thank you.”
With a satisfied smirk, Ohyul turned his head down now facing you. It wasn’t awkward or weird because it was a normal thing to do.

Tiny dates were the best. Because both of you could do anything you wanted without an agenda. The love both of you held for each other stayed throughout all of it.

It wasn’t just two people who disliked each other anymore in that studio. It was two professional music artists making a project together. Putting their heart and soul into it alone, meant a lot.
After getting one-forth of the song done, both of you quietly played music in the background. A wave of tiredness crashes into the both of you. Though, Martin could not help but stare at you longer than usual. Your tiny giggles made him smile.
Out of nowhere, Martin laid on the ground still holding guitar in hand. Softly playing it as you captured a photo on your phone. Too tired to be on your phone, you just stared quietly at him.
“Can I ask you something?”
Martin inquired, still strumming the guitar.
“Yeah?”
“Why do you hate me?”

“Still do.” You replied jokingly.
“No, actually though.”
“Honestly. Do you remember my group?”
“Haze? Hell yeah. I was like your biggest fan boy embarrassingly.”
“Really? Wow! THE Martin, my biggest fan? And is my husband? Lucky day.”
“Okay, okay. Continue on, please.”
“After we disbanded, I got stuck with Big Hit because of the dumb contract. Then, the manager said I would be going into a new group. Until you guys came along. Everything stopped. I had been forgotten because they wanted new, fresh rookies. All that hard work and effort with my money went to waste."
“Actually?”
The soft guitar had come to a halt. The silence became louder. Your eyes averted away from him, as he sat up staring at you. His eyebrows furrowed together but his eyes were soft. Martin knew how painful it must’ve been being replaced instantly with no hope or guarantee of a successful future.
“Yeah, it was stupid. Then when I met you…you were so joyful and an amazing rookie overall. I could see why I was forgotten. All of you outshined me. So that’s when my hate started for you and 5 months before CORTIS debut, my contract was terminated.”
“I’m sorry you had to go through that.”
“Nah, it's alright. I enjoy the freedom very much! Finally got to make music the way I always wanted.”
Soon both of your stomachs growled in unison. It had been at least 6 hours since you both ate lunch, not including snacks. As if you both read each other's mind, both of you headed to the convenience store.
“Is this all?” The staff scanned the food as Martin paid for it. While you stood outside, waiting for him.
“Hey.”
“Finally, it took you forever.” You looked up thinking it was Martin, but to your surprise it was your ex. “Oh, shit. I’m sorry.”
“I Was just passing by. Then I saw you. What are you doing here all by yourself?”
“I’m just waiting for—”
“Hey, man.” The automatic door dinged as Martin softly placed his hand on your shoulder. “Want an autograph?” Martin joked as you blushed in embarrassment.
“Martin, this is my ex.” They both shake each other's hand.
“Im so sorry about him.”
“No, no. It’s alright. Are you guys together?”
“Something like that.” You laughed softly.
“He’s quite a tall guy. It’s been a while.”
“Yeah, it has. Are you single?”

“That’s valid. Wait, I got a new number. Let me airdrop it to you.”
Martin felt his heart ache just a tiny bit as you surprisingly spoke in Japanese. The way you acted so carefree towards your ex made him just want to walk away.

Suddenly, your ex was gone. Now it was just the two of you standing alone in the dark. The stoplight switched from green to red in a second. With a nod, you instantly felt something in Martin switch. That lingering feeling you felt stayed for a while.

It felt like both of you were a real couple now, not married though the rings said otherwise.
“Studio. Then a cafe?”
Martin spoke through his phone as he was driving to the building. It was only 11 in the morning, yet it was still a busy day for an idol. While you being the solo artist gave you much more freedom.
“Finally, you arrived.”
In front of you sat Martin. Black shade covered his eyes as his wire earphones covered one side of his ear. His green shirt rested onto the white long sleeve. And of course, iconic baggy jeans.
“Yeah, yeah. No need for an autograph.”
You roll your eyes sitting across from him. Luckily, it was a bit secluded from people’s attention. Which was a huge blessing.
“So, food then pics.”
“Yup.”
The calming atmosphere of people chatting and the aroma of coffee made the hang out less awkward. The once full plate layed in front of you empty.
“Woah, hold up. Where is your ring?” Martin raised his left eyebrow acting as if you had said a fat lie to his face.
“Seriously?”
“Uh, yeah. Need it to be visible for the photos.”
“Whatever. I’ll make sure it’s not noticeable. Promise.”
One snap, two then three. Your fake reality was soon to be posted on social media. If anything, you have been making much more money than ever before. It was insane. Finishing it off, you both went each different paths. Either way, you would meet up again at the studio to record music that night.
