You are not required to have a license in order to import into the United States, however certain government agencies may require one.

3. Get details about the product or commodity you are trying to import

Is there a market for the goods you’re thinking about importing? Know the product through and through and whether or not there is a need in your local market.

4. Contact the port of entry where the shipment will arrive

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection website offers a locator for all the ports of entry in the United States. If you’re not sure where you want your goods to arrive, this locator is an excellent tool in trying to figure this out.

5. Make sure you’re legally able to import these goods

Every year on November 15, philanthropists throughout the country are recognized for their good works in their communities and the rest of the world. Each day, millions of people do incredible acts of charity and work hard to volunteer, donate, or raise money to good causes. This is also a great day to get out and try and make a difference in the world.

Donating in honor of a teacher, mentor, or loved one can be an excellent way to show your appreciation for them and pay it forward.

Make Care Packages for the Homeless

With cold, winter weather on the brink, take this time to put together care packages to hand out when you see homeless people on the street. If you live in a city, you’ve seen your fair share of homeless people in the dead of winter. These care packages should include a handful of things that would be of use such as: deodorant, toothpaste, a toothbrush, nonperishable food (peanut butter, snack crackers, cookies), wet wipes, a hair brush, chapstick, bandaids, hand warmers, shampoo, a warm hat, a pair of gloves, a scarf and socks.
