‘‘ even if i could afford a monet, i’d probably not buy one — impressionism isn’t my preferred art style. ’’ he shrugged as blue eyes flickered around, taking in his surroundings. as to be expected from a gallery, there were many things that tried to catch his eye at once, leaving him almost overwhelmed. ‘‘ plus, i’d need a wall that i call my own, wouldn’t i? ’’ he continued before pointing at one of the paintings. ‘‘ in terms of goals to aspire to — that painting over there is … inspiring. ’’
one of the best things about being your own boss was that you could talk to any customer as long as you’d like. and this mortal seemed nice enough, nowhere near as stuck up as some of her other customers tended to be. “impressionism isn’t my favorite, either, but then again i can’t seem to pick one to stick with.” not like those famous artists. april was always a bit Chaotic. she followed his point and felt herself brim with pride. “ah,” she turned to him, “no one famous made that one. an original by me.”

I sleep. I dream. I make up things that I would never say. I say them very quietly.

“Cali was great, Mark. I went alien hunting in the desert—I came up empty, but I did find this great spicy beef jerky place. I have some at home if you’re interested. Oh! Also! I missed you, so I’m going to force you into hanging out with me for a bit longer. I may be small, but I have a good grip.” -wisestfool/april
@wisestfool
April talked her usual nonsense and Mark, patient for once, waited for his friend talking. He hummed and nodded when appropriate, rolled his sleeves up and stretched his arms and as soon as April was done talking, he scooped her up and hugged her tightly. ❛ Missed you, Fae. ❜ Was all he said in return, along with pressing a kiss to the side of her head.
concept: me, years from now, wandering through my huge greenhouse. warm sunlight streams in. birds and butterflies and bees and all my favourite plants keep me company. no one disturbs me.

‘‘ fourth option, actually: i seek shelter from the rain so i picked the first open store. however, now that i am here, i must confess that i couldn’t afford a monet, anyway. ’’
“well there’s always a fourth isn’t there?” she spoke lightly. she took stock of him and the rain outside and yeah---it was a fall rain. her third favorite kind of rain. she shrugged at the not-so-customer. “well, feel free to take refuge. and look around, maybe one day you will be able to afford my prices. a goal to aspire too, perhaps.” she joked.
@corbeaution
“welcome to let’s get this monet---are you interested in commissions, or to buy a piece? or, the third option: looking around.” it was her Best customer service voice. she was doing Good today.

❛ It will never cease to amaze me the names you come up with, April darling. ❜ She cooed the moment the tiny bug turned around. Her smile matched the one she was given. ❛ You know it, I heard it was getting boring in here without me. ❜
“well, i do like to keep people on their feet.” april joked. the tiredness she felt throughout the day was now replaced with excited energy. “it’s always boring with you--uh, what name are you going by now?”
