Nickoli Vanserra - 3rd Prince of Autumn AKA Baron’s runt
Appearance: thinnest and shortest of the Vanserra brother’s, he has medium length hair that goes past his shoulders that he wears in a pony tail. Unlike Eris and Lucien who’s hair has a copper tone, his hair is wine red like Amerantha, he gets it from one of LoA’s sisters. Like this:
Dresses for comfort rather than style.
Personality: soooo autistic but the fae doesn't know what that is so he is seen as an unfriendly academic that is way too sensitive. What he lacks in strength and socially graces he makes up with smarts and enjoys correcting people too much. Very easily jealous.
Powers: the classic Vanserra flame and has studied wards extensively but is still the weakest brother magically and in combat, which is why he was the only brother not to try and hunt Lucien and Feyre down in winter
Job: He is not liked by Baron because of his weakness so when he came of age he was put in charge of public sanitation as an insult, but in 10 short years he revolutionized the waste system cutting disease in half and his water sanitation criteria are used across Prythain. Now he is tasked with any policy making and agency running that Baron needs a competent person to look at, much to his chagrin. He can’t help also pointing out when Baron is being stupid which gets him immediately punished
Relationships: Nickoli due to his weakness is seen as a punching bag, the other brothers take pleasure in kicking the shit out of him because “hay at least I’m not Nickoli”. He gets revenge by telling Baron any information he has on any sneaky plans they have (he was only able to manage this once with Eris for something small) or finding dirt and telling any lovers they have it so they stop sleeping with them, this then results in him getting the shit kick out of him again.
Nickoli is the only brother to genuinely hate the Lady of Autumn because when he was a kid he had a pretty big delay in speech development and other symptoms of being autistic, which Baron blamed on the LoA. And because no one really knew why he was like this she thought he was doing it on purpose on some level and so started to resent him and pushed him too hard to be normal. Then in his later teens when he learned to mask the affair with Helion started so he was ignored so much that one time after Baron was done torturing him for some failure the whole family forgot him in his cell for a whole week, that was when he decided he hated her. And when Lucien came alone he was jealous of his relationship with her.
Despite this he had a good relationship with Lucien, a fellow outcast and punching bag. He helped shape Lucien’s education, getting him resources on subjects he was interested in and marking any work harshly so Lucien’s work is now near perfect. He was forced to hold Lucien back with Jesminada, he was upset at the time because he thought Lucien knew better but now he feels guilty for his part in it.
As the one targeted by the family the most he knows that Eris does care on some level about his family, definitely their mother, he let the mask slip too many times for anything else. Bit hasn’t told Baron, he could really use the help.
