My Final Post
It’s been a while, for a reason. I’m living life and loving it. But as we go into 2026 I want to make a final post so this Tumblr has a conclusion.
2025 was a big year for me and my partner. Yes the same partner Ive had since this blog started. We got married. We moved to Miami. And now we’re expecting a bundle of joy in April.
I look back on the blog very bittersweetly. I don’t regret it. I don’t hold my old feelings against myself. I just look at my old posts and see a younger version of myself, who didn’t understand the things that really mattered, because I’d never had them before.
All I ever wanted, going into this relationship, was a guy who looked like a horse when he took his pants off. Now, I know better. Sure that’s a nice quality but it’s not something a guy needs. What he needs is maturity, kindness, a sense of humor, spontaneity, commitment and tenderness.
The relationship we have isn’t something I would trade for anything else in the world. As we grew closer I shared more details of my prior relationship and he never got self conscious or jealous or felt inadequate. If anything he became an even better partner and lover. And he’s made me the happiest woman in the world.
Thank you all for sharing whatever portions of this journey with me. I hope my happiness will be your happiness and that you might be happy for me, even if you had “different” hopes for me.
