“Miss Kanzuki what is it this time? Did Mika tell you I was sleeping on the job? That’s a total lie she’d have pulled from her ass!”
Stamping her foot hard, her sneakers easily scuffed the glossed and waxed cherry wood floors. In time with her childish whine, she thrust her hands to her sides, curling them to half formed fists. Her mask protruded slightly at her useless pout. Her brow and eyes dared narrow into razor sharp slits at the ruffle collared silk shirt and meticulously Victorian styled curls of the world’s most expensive woman, it’s most powerful, untouchable CEO who walked like she knew it, like she owned everything about herself. Shifting in the blink of an eye, she clasped her hands together, folding her fingers to interlock them before cushioning them against her cheek. Her eyes wandered with her voice, innocent, dreamy.
“I mean sometimes instead of paying full attention I might think of this handsomely cute guy back home. But that has nothing to do with how well I do my job because I always snap out of it and guard the house. Just like you ask me to!”
Abruptly she broke her own train of thought, the floating gleam to her eye and healthy glow to her skin vanishing as quickly as it’d come. Yet another swirling, vengeful storm rolled in, clouding her expression. She pointed a finger beside her, angrily shaking it at no one present.
“Mika though is always messing up! Every other word out her mouth is about Zangief, why did you even sponsor her? I’ve been here longer, I shouldn’t be bad mouthed by a newbie!”
She lifted a hand and yanked down her half cloth mask, revealing the full of her lips and chin. Without hesitation, she squeezed her eyes tight and blew a raspberry sending spittle flying.
Utter disbelief is what Karin felt at Ibuki so suddenly going off on her. it was strange to see the ninja so sour, considering Karin valued her as a friend. It was definitely an unexpected twist, but nothing that the Zaibatsu Head could not overcome.
“First of all, I would watch your tone with me. I am still your boss. Think what you want of me, Ibuki, but I shall not be spoken to as if I am your equal. Yes, I consider you a close friend, but we are still just like any other employee and employer. Do I make myself clear?” A pause from Karin. Ibuki’s tone did not sit well with her. Karin knew that her annoyance with the young kunoichi was apparent, but she did not care. Ibuki needed to learn her place. Karin then continued with her concerns.
“Now then, I called you here to discuss the matter of giving both you and Mika a couple of vacation days for yourselves. I realized I’ve been overworking you both and thought you needed a break. I can see that you clearly wouldn’t need that break to work on your comebacks, though, Missy.”
Her heart sprung like a ball on a spring, clogging her throat as her feet shifted a step backward. Raising her hands palms out, her entire face bent as if imitating crinkled newspaper. Her eyes went wide as saucers, paralyzed with fear, her body lightly quivering. Her mouth opened, gums flapping faster than a wind up doll.
“I’m sorry Miss Kanzuki, you sponsor only the best I don’t know what I was saying. I let my mind just wander and talk without thinking sometimes that’s all! I totally need a day off. Yes yes I do, oh you’re so humble Miss Kanzuki!”
She flashed a pearly smile, her brow curved into half circles with her lower lip quivering.
“Pretty please tell me how many days I’ve been given?”
