"I need an honest opinion, and we both know you're my best bet for one of those. So do you have a minute... or three?"
[open starter]
The past six months had been the hardest of Brody’s life. Growing up war was just a game but now it was real and it was bloody and dangerous and mentally draining. He’d never expected to be standing here today, on the doorstep of his best friend’s house, the best friend who’d been killed just over a month ago when their transport had been hit by an IED. Wringing his hands in his fatigues, Brody knocked on the door, waiting for her to appear.
While the world might feel like it was over for Brody, Elliott was having the time of his life. He'd practically moved in with his bandmates, which was where he was when he heard a knock on the door. Inside alone, he'd been singing his heart out to every 80s rock track that came to mind, so when he answered the door, he finished the line the song was on and continued to sing out, "Can I help you?"
Laughing at himself, he shook his hands in surrender before continuing. "Sorry about that. Well, I'm not actually sorry-- Can I help you?"
Open to any Glee muse
“Do I know you?”
Tina thought the stranger who came up to her seemed familiar but for the life of her, she could not put a name to the face. Of course, since the accident, there were holes in her memory though her parents tried their best to help her remember. Sometimes though, it felt like they were holding back but she couldn’t figure out why they would.
Some people might be offended by noy being recognized by someone they'd had face to face conversation with, but Elliott took it in stride. He laughed, even, dipping his head before raising his hands to hopefully shake off any idea that he might be hurt by her lack of recognition. "It's alright. I was Kurt and Rachel's friend-- and I think Santana at least tolerated me. I couldn't quite tell sometimes," he joked, shrugging his shoulders. "How have you been; it's been a while."

“Told you I could scrub up nice… I’m wearing contacts just for you, that should prove how much I love you boo”
"I am both shocked and awed," Elliott teased back in playful reply with a smile on his face. "You didn't have to do that, you know. The contacts. Though I might have to retract your Official Boyfriend Material card for calling me boo."
Hey! Can you guys reblog this if you are willing to roleplay some horror or darker themes?
Looking around, Elliott couldn't help but feel like he looked like a tourist, but he couldn't help himself either. Everything looked so aesthetically pleasing. He'd never been in this club before, he'd traveled to it for the first time because he was headlining on their stage. That might have had a little bit to do with why he was so incredibly pleased with everything he saw. Nothing could touch his mood, not even the fact that he had no idea where he was supposed to be.
"Excuse me," he asked, stopping the nearest person. he wasn't sure if they worked there or not, but they seemed to know where they were going. "I'm usually not this needy, but could you point me to the backstage entrance?"
—- ooc; I miss my boy, so I’m heading into the indieverse. Like this for a starter or message/IM if you’d like to plot.

Alright, it’s one of the things we have in common, having sex the other night being another one. I most certainly will and the same thing goes for you, my good sir. Thanks, but I owe it all to hard work and the encouragement from loved ones over the years.
And I'm sure there's plenty of other things to add to that growing list that we're not aware of yet. Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. Don't we all. I think you should take some of that credit though, personally, you deserve it.

I try to do the same thing when I have time, so that’s something we have in common. I’ve been dancing since I was four years old.
Something we have in common; you mean besides the fact that we both had sex the other night? Feel free to let me know whenever you hear about stuff that's going on in town. That's awesome, man, no wonder you're a little talent machine.

jacksonhummel:
I’ll definitely keep that in mind, thank you, and the exact same thing goes for you. Thanks again, it means a lot. It makes me really happy, being able to put a smile on people’s faces, plus I love just having fun and working hard to do something great.
No problem, sweetheart. It definitely was something great, performances like yours are the reason I always try to hit local events so I can catch the talent. How long have you been at it?

jacksonhummel:
Well, that’s extremely sweet of you. I’m alright, how about you?
I wouldn't call it sweet, honestly it's the least I could do. Let me know if you need anything? I'm alright, I'm glad you are too. You were great by the way-- the dancing.

I just wanted to check in after the other night.
So, today I learned a very important lesson about people: sometimes, they’ve changed after high school and have become much more pleasant while other people are still the same jackasses you once knew. Anyway, with Thanksgiving being tomorrow, I want to give thanks to everyone here for helping keep my life interesting.
You sound like you could use a drink. Is there a story to go along with this revelation?
jacksonhummel:
My apologies for the constant mixed signals, I’m what my friends call the king of making no sense. Keeping my nerd side a secret is nothing but a major joke, because I’m trying to get a laugh when people realize that I’m actually an open book. Unfortunately, it tends to cause more confusion than laughter, but it’s an old habit that I keep referring back to for some reason. In short, I’m really sorry about the mixed signals, I’d like to start over if I could, be honest about who I am.
I didn't mean for it to sound so dire, I was just curious. Being honest sounds great though, I've had more than enough lies for one lifetime. I don't think we've spoken much, I'm Elliott- but you probably know me as Starchild.
jacksonhummel:
Well, it’s that night of the week where you’re left wondering whether you should try to go out on the town like a normal person or stay inside where it’s warm and watch A Goofy Movie, embracing your nerd side all the while. Decisions, decisions.
For someone who claims to want to keep their nerdy side a secret, you sure do mention it publicly at every change you get. What's up with that, if you don't mind me asking? Because it sounds like you want everyone to know, but you want it to be taboo; like a guilty pleasure or something that you'll get teased about. If you haven't noticed, that isn't the case.
You probably are, looking at that. I’m good, just busy with school. Yourself?
Why thank you, I'll take the compliment. I hope it's not too much of a drag, everyone needs a little fun in their life. I've finally been doing what I came here to do; nothing. It looks like I'll be working on a new setlist very soon though.

Twinkle, twinkle little Starchild; I think Amnesia misses you.
Cute. We'll talk, definitely.
