Witch Tip

Get a bunch of decent size twigs and put them in a jar. Every time you get mad or frustrated, feed all of your bad vibes and negativity into a twig and snap it in half, releasing all of the bad energy and destroying it.

Could also be used as a curse if negative energy was fed into a twig about a person and the intent was there.

This Tuesday, The Satanic Temple will be arguing their case in front of the Missouri Supreme Court after convincing an appeals court that the state’s mandatory 72-hour waiting period before having an abortion violates their religious freedom.

The Temple is taking up the case of a member they refer to as “Mary Doe,” who claims the law goes against her religious beliefs. The woman contends that back in May of 2015, she was forced to view an ultrasound of her fetus and required to read a booklet that stated life “begins at conception.”

All of this was forced upon her despite the fact that she “adheres to principles of the Satanic temple and has sincerely held religious beliefs different from the information in the informed consent booklet,” according to her case summary.

“Specifically, her letter advised she has deeply held religious beliefs that a nonviable fetus is not a separate human being but is part of her body and that abortion of a nonviable fetus does not terminate the life of a separate, unique, living human being,” the case summary stated according to NBC News.

The Satanic Temple’s Jex Blackmore says Mary Doe’s religious freedom is being trampled upon.

“The State has essentially established a religious indoctrination program intended to push a single ideological viewpoint,” Blackmore said in a statement. “The law is intended to punish women who disagree with this opinion.”

“Missouri’s state-mandated informed consent booklets explicitly say that life begins at conception, which is a nonmedical religious viewpoint that many people disagree with,” his statement continued. “Forcing women to read this information and then wait 72-hours to consider the State’s opinion is a clear violation of the Establishment Clause.”

Although the state disagreed with the Temple’s assessment, a Missouri appeals court found merit in the Temple’s argument and agreed to let the case go the Missouri Supreme Court and even commented on the urgency of the case’s constitutional implications.

Update, 1/25/18: A local CBS affiliate is reporting that the Temple has prevailed in its showdown with the state of Missouri over its abortion restrictions.

According to 9News, Missouri’s Solicitor General D. John Sauer declared ultrasounds are not required to obtain an abortion in the state.

Vegan Alternatives In Spells

***I originally made this post on my old account (vgnwitch) but I wanted to add a few things so I decided to remake this post! These are all just some examples of many alternatives with matching correspondences.*** Eggs/Eggshells: -rebirth: pennyroyal, seeds, pinecones, tansy, ivy, or honeysuckle. -general protection: acorn, basil, bay leaves, lavender, cinnamon, pinecones, rosemary, clover, coriander, ferns, heather, mistletoe, mullein, vervain, st. johns wart, or peony. -protection against evil, magic, and psychic attacks: onions, garlic, rosemary, yarrow, pennyroyal, ivy, holly, garlic, dragon’s blood, cactus, clove, dill, pinecones, mugwort, cayenne pepper, or black pepper. -protection from nightmares- mullein, lavender, rosemary, anise, dandelion, lemon balm, or catnip. -fertility: seeds, pinecones, acorns, apples, ginkgo biloba, cabbage, poppy seeds, mistletoe, pomegranate, rice, carrots, lady’s mantle, mugwort, peaches, walnuts, bananas, bergamot, daffodil, dock leaf, and mistletoe. Coffee grounds are a great alternative to crushed eggshells with the intended use of being scattered around a perimeter for protection. Crystal eggs with properties that correspond to the intended use of eggs are another great alternative.

Honey:

honey is typically used to “sweeten” a situation, so using sugar, syrup, apple honey (Bee Free Honee is personally my favorite brand), or stevia would work just as well and it’ll help save our bee friends! *Before anyone replies saying “buying honey saves bees though” please educate yourself with these links!* Also note that honeybees are one of the few species that are not endangered; the mass production of honeybees by humans has caused rapid endangerment to wild bees, who are the main pollinators of the foods we eat.

If you would like to help save bees then you can plant some flowers and herbs that they like, make a bee hotel, buy organic as much as possible, and transition to a vegan diet (or if that’s genuinely not possible for you just cut as much meat and dairy out of your diet as you can) because more crops for animals means less habitats for bees. Milk:

almond milk, coconut milk, rice milk, soy milk and any other plant derived milk. Any of these will work in place of dairy milk. If you want to be more specific in your spells though… -almond milk: money, prosperity, luck, and wisdom. -coconut milk: protection or spiritual cleansing. -soy milk: prosperity and amplifying psychic abilities. -rice milk: protection and attracting rain.

Blood: red wine, pomegranate juice, crushed berries, dragon’s blood, or maple syrup are great alternatives.

Bones: Petrified wood.

Story time! This is what I learnt from my psychic ‘Old Ways’ Irish granny;

We called her Granny Cat because every cat for miles around would find their way to her, not for food but for a cuddle and a chat.

She would never spend a penny. If you had any coppers she would swap you a 50p for whatever copper coins you had, not so she could spend them but so she could drill a hole in the coppers and hang them above doorways and windows to keep negative energies out. She would first clean and cleanse the coin in a mixture of lemon juice and herbs and then gently hammer a hole onto the copper coin and thread string through the hole and hang them up. She said the fairies liked them as long as you remembered to leave out a bowl of milk on a full moon.

But nowadays coppers aren’t copper. They are copper plated steel.

I have a question for other witches. Do you think I can use my copper coins even if they aren’t pure copper? Does anyone else work with pennies?
