THE POND,

Once upon a time, in a quaint village just hours away from what is now the Virginia border, there once was a witch named Ayana that loved to heal others. A nurse, a caretaker, a witch that followed the rules of nature down to it's core, worshipping the sun and the moon as her guide. The wolves occupied the night more and more, bodies turning up beside the falls that dare to be out past midnight, and full moons didn't mean much when it came to the anger of the wolf, large claws putting all who ventured into their path into an early grave. Ayana was told stories of witches who'd hide in objects to ensure their safety. Superstitious when her mother claimed that her aunt had put her soul within a wooden spoon to hide from those with pitchforks.

But then the attack happened. Wolves losing their sanity due to a spell her protege casted, and Ayana made way through the woods, immediately casting her spirit and magic within the pond. Her daughter being the last to see the woman's eyes before she went under.

Now this pond calls upon ancestral magic in order to hide, to time travel, a ripple in nature's desire for balance and its existence for witches and witches only. This pond sits outside the one and only Sheila Bennett's home, guarded by electric fence and cameras that can be broadcasted inside to ensure that nobody goes in. If someone other than a witch falls into the pond, there's no way out.

𝕲𝒓𝒊𝒎𝒐𝒊𝒓𝒆 — an expansive list of bonnie's abilities. these abilities can be altered or changed depending on the verse and storyline in which she's being placed, but she is an overpowered character in any situation she is being placed in. bonnie is powerful, end of story. whether or not she has complete control or knowledge of these abilities depends on her age, her storyline, and what she's accomplished.

PSYCHIC ABILITIES.       ⠀✶       

psychic sensitivity: gut feelings, noticeable energy shifts, able to get information out of atmosphere and presence alone.

premonitions, visions: mostly done in her sleep, bonnie can see the future (mostly murders, or when someone is going to be killed) and it's often repeated throughout the day in little 'coincidences' until she's lead to the scene. she will often have a feeling of deja vu: seeing the same number patterns, shape patterns, colors, until something is revealed to her.

psychic perception, clairvoyance: the ability to see clear mental images of events, mostly goes along with her visions.

supernatural perception: the ability to detect other supernatural beings around her.

heightened intuition, the feeling that something is wrong or about to go wrong before it happens.

astral and spiritual projection: bonnie can appear in peoples' thoughts and dreams, often able to make conversations with others. similarly to mind reading, she can enter a person's thoughts and consciousness.

psychic communication: ability to speak to spirits, other witches/seers/psychics through psychic messaging. bonnie can give other people visions if she needs to contact them but cannot be tracked or in danger. conjuring or banishing spirits would also be under this category.

sensing emotions and heightened empathy.

memory restoration, being able to find the truth and bring back memories that were taken by vampire compulsion or through basic amnesia. she can alter dreams, but chooses not to.

WITCHCRAFT.       ⠀✶       

spellcasting, she uses a grimoire or recites spells and charms from memory. she doesn't need to say a spell for every time she uses magic, but for bigger things she does.

tracking: by using an object that belongs to a person, bonnie can track their whereabouts.

channeling: bonnie is able to find power sources in different things to increase her magic usage and conjure more power. she mostly uses candle channeling or channeling the elements, going outside or being surrounded by plants or water causes her to feel connected to the earth and gives her more energy. she can also get that same effect with magical landmarks and objects, channeling another witch or supernatural entity, or visiting a witch's home or burial ground.

linking and binding supernatural energies and creatures to each other or herself. ( also unlinking and breaking supernatural bonds ).

cloaking: hiding things and people under magic.

ancestral magic, using the powers given to her by her ancestors or her bloodline.

blood: her blood heals supernatural beings if they are injured. bonnie's blood is rich, tastes like gold and euphoria in your mouth. addictive. often used for spells and rituals, especially coming from a powerful bloodline.

magical barriers & protective magic. able to create forcefields and protective bubbles where no supernatural being can get in. can also keep others out, generally used as a safety precaution when doing big spells or when someone is harmed. she uses salt a lot with this.

using herbs & potion making. bonnie even owns a few cauldrons and talismans.

suppression: she can suppress her magic when she feels like she's in danger.

absorption: bonnie absorbs power from other witches, can use as a defensive attack where instead of getting hit by another's magic, she can use it against them.

altering physical appearance and aging. bonnie can slow down her aging and change different things about her appearance. she can't slow it down forever, but enough to keep her alive for hundreds of years if she so desires.

expression, dark magic, sacrificial magic, ritualistic magic, exorcisms. necromancy and being brought back from the dead can be placed under this category. she can do it, but it has consequences. for every life brought back, one must be sacrificed to keep the balance.

spirit magic. bonnie can see the dead, speak to the dead, and also send the dead to the afterlife through her. ( this is a selective power, as i don't want to write her as the anchor unless you're someone trusted ). bonnie can also send spirits away when channeling another witch.

MANIPULATION.       ⠀✶       

weather control, mostly emotion based. when she's upset, you're more likely to see cloudy skies and rain, whereas anger is thunder and lightning.

pyrokinesis. the ability to conjure fire and to manipulate it. bonnie used this a lot as a beginner witch, often setting things on fire. as an adult, she is able to control her fire usage more.

power exchange. the ability to give her magic to someone else, or to give a spell she's doing to another witch.

item creation. bonnie can create magical items by spelling them or putting magic inside. she mostly collects other people's magical items, but she has made a few of them.

transfiguration, the ability to make something beautiful or change it's appearance. mostly done with plants to get an energy source for bonnie's healing magic.

molecular immobilization, manipulation & combustion. bonnie can see into people's bloodstreams and anatomy, and she can give people aneurysms, paralyze someone, and kill a human instantly. for vampires, because they heal quickly, bonnie gives them aneurysms over and over again, causing immense pain that doesn't quit until she stops it.

WEAKNESSES.       ⠀✶       

human life span, unless she uses her magic to slow her aging down. bonnie ages naturally, and cannot be immortal unless she is turned into a vampire.

she can die all the normal ways humans can die. fire, falling, old age, getting hurt, heart attacks, cancer, etc. she is not immune to death even though she can skirt around it for longer than the average human.

exhaustion, over exerting herself, letting the magic take over and kill her. doing spells that weigh heavy on her can kill her if not taken care of properly afterwards or if the power overcomes her human body. nosebleeds, dizziness, and prolonged sleep or coma-like effects can happen if she does too much at once. this can also send her into magical burn out or blocking, where her body protects her from using her magic and making her reconnect with a power source like plants.

stronger witches, stronger power sources, mostly ancient magic beings.

human speed and strength. she is not super fast, cannot compete with a lot of opponents that have speed or inhuman strength in their toolbox.

triggers. fear, powerful emotions, and trauma can make her powers be stunted or out of control.

— bonnie takes really good care of her hair and skin. only breaks out under intense stress, so she ups her skincare routine and tries to take time for herself. her hair is curly, long, and she prioritizes taking the appropriate measures to make sure her curls are protected.

— diet.‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ bonnie has a fast metabolism, so she eats whatever she wants, but she is also always working out somehow whether it's going to the gym, doing yoga or pilates, zumba, running, etc. she prefers rice over noodles but will eat both, chicken over steak, salty and spicy over sweet. she takes good care of her figure and drinks lots of water so she doesn't get dehydrated. as a witch, she treats her body a lot better than she did growing up.

— abby bennett - wilson, mother, left when bonnie was three years old. abby is a witch who didn't want to become a witch, so left to just become a woman with a life of her own. abby took in her boyfriend's son, jamie, and became his adoptive mother. bonnie seeks abby out for information regarding her involvement with the supernatural when she was 16, and bonnie holds resentment for her newfound life without her. abby is deceased in the modern day, becoming a vampire and then being killed by another vampire.

— rudy hopkins, father. does not want anything to do with bonnie's witch side. often ignoring signs and refusing to tell her anything growing up about her mother or her witch side at all. bordering on neglect and power suppression because he hates that part of bonnie. absent, uninvolved, and practically pretends like she isn't there most of the time. bonnie was alone in a house even when he was present. bonnie describes his side of the family as boring, like watching paint dry. rudy is deceased in modern day, he was killed by another witch.

— sheila bennett, grandmother. sheila is a witch like bonnie, who spent most of her time trying to get bonnie to understand her powers despite her father's forceful dismissal. as a child, rudy refused to let bonnie see sheila as much to prevent her from finding out the truth, but as she gets older, sheila is adamant about becoming a positive presence in bonnie's life especially as her powers develop more and more. sheila is bonnie's first teacher, trying to get her to understand the history of their powers before anything else. sheila bennett is the only one bonnie feels has ever seen her and appreciated her the way she needed to be, and after her death, bonnie doesn't think she will have that person again. sheila helped bonnie with a spell to save her vampire friends that ultimately took way too much magic, and that caused her death. since then, her trust of vampires is minimal, considering sheila warned bonnie over and over again about getting involved with vampires.

— elena gilbert, best friend/soulmate. bonnie has known elena since the first grade, and has a codependent bond with her. bonnie would do anything for elena, and has done anything for elena including dying, sacrificing herself, and putting herself into harms way because of how much she loves her. in my portrayal, bonnie's first love is elena, and she'd choose elena over almost anyone. if you write elena, you do not have to have her return these feelings, but they are vital to bonnie's characterization and how she feels about putting elena's safety above everything. bonnie would have elena as a best friend in every life time, even if there are no feelings involved. this can cause mixed feelings towards her as a character because it is layered and complicated.

— caroline forbes, best friend. unlike elena, their friendship is more equal. push and pull, less life or death and more working together to solve problems. caroline has also been a friend since the first grade, but they grew closer and closer over time rather than besties immediately like elena. in my portrayal, her friendship with caroline is rocky when caroline becomes a vampire, but they talk it out and make up. bonnie's distrust in vampires does not include caroline.

‎ ‎ — matt donovan, close friend. apart from the girls, matt is bonnie's closest friend out of their childhood friend group. he is so human and normal that she feels connected to him on a more humanity based level. they grew up together, got jobs together, hung out all the time, but as they got older they connected more on a personal level and matt has shown time and time again that he doesn't want bonnie exhausting herself to death, and has put his life on the line for bonnie. bonnie sees him as a break from her life she's living, and cherishes him.

— re: jeremy gilbert. in my portrayal, bonnie does not date jeremy. jeremy is heartbroken over anna and vicki, and desperately needs a friend, not a romantic relationship. they still are close like in canon, and get closer after the death of vicki, but they remain friends. if there were to ever be a plot that i write jeremy as her boyfriend, it would be out of projecting her feelings for elena onto jeremy, not genuine interest in him as a romantic interest.

INTRODUCTION.       ⠀✶        this blog is twenty one plus only, do not follow if you're underage. i am twenty seven, so i only feel comfortable writing with those who are above twenty one at the minimum, 25+ preferred. my name is mimi, or sav, you can call me either one. i've been writing bonnie for four years, and have watched and rewatched the show more times than i can count. this being said, i am extremely canon divergent past season four and mostly headcanon based.

MATURE CONTENT.       ⠀✶        this blog is mature, and will deal with mature and dark themes. by default, bonnie is twenty, an adult, and she will always be written as an adult in college. i do not want to revisit seasons one through three unless we are cherry picking scenes or diverging from there to expand on. i am interested in new plots, with mature and dark storylines and dynamics that are fleshed out and plotted. sexual content will be written on my usfw sideblog, but i am not forcing you to write smut with me if you are not comfortable. blanket trigger warnings for different in universe tropes and themes, such as depression, grief, vampirism, blood & gore, witchcraft and magic, rituals and sacrifices, anxiety attacks, gothic fiction leaning and intense magic usage. bonnie is an over powered character that tends to over exhaust herself to the point of self harm. this is a horror blog, please keep that in mind.

BONNIE IS MY MAIN CHARACTER.       ⠀✶        due to the mistreatment of my girl on screen and her actress suffering abuse and mistreatment behind the screen, i am anti plec and very picky about who i write what with. she is not a punching bag for your muse to use and throw out like a ragdoll. if i feel like you're taking out your personal anger or feelings out on my muse, i'm hardblocking you. there's a difference between your muse not liking bonnie and you not liking bonnie and i can tell the difference by the way you interact with her. microaggressions and racism is not welcome here, and neither is treating bonnie like just a best friend or side character. bonnie is a protagonist that deserves well thought out stories and dynamics just as her friends do.
