Easy Wreath for Your Head Need:Gold, silver or other benedable garland found in stores at Yuletide/Xmas-this usually comes in stars, holly and other such designs Curling ribbon

Measure around the head. Measure a piece of garland the same length plus 6 inches. Over lap 3 inches of each end and wrap one end around the other as tightly as possible. Cut lengths of curling ribbon about 4 feet long and tie onto the back side of the wreath. Tie so the ends of the ribbon are even and spaced about 1 inch apart. about one third of the way around. Curl the ribbons. Wear.

Fairy Furniture  May is a month that fairies love. Show them your appreciation and give the kids a great project by making them some furniture!

Items needed: twigs, vines, dried flowers needle and thread scrap material scissors hot glue gun-be sure little fingers are safe! pruners to cut the twigs-again watch those little fingers

Decide what you’re going to make. We’ll make a chair, to give you an example. Cut the twigs in this manner – one long, bendable piece that will form the back legs and back of the chair, and four equal lengthed twigs which will form the two front legs and the seat.The chair should stand no more than four inches tall (including the back)

Bend the long twig,and hot glue one of the smaller pieces in between the two ends where you want the seat to be.This will be the back of the seat. Hot glue on each side of the bent twig facing towards you a smaller twig; these will be the sides of the seat. Glue the front piece of the seat to these side twigs. Glue the two front legs to the seat so that the chair legs are even. If you wish,wrap the vines around the chair back and legs. Cut the scrap material to form a “back” and a “seat” – these are NOT to be as wide as the chair, but will fit inside of the twigs. Using your needle and thread, attach the material to the chair using a whip stitch. Hot glue small dried flowers at the top of the chair. This technique can be used to make all kinds of fairy furniture, from tables to beds, to sofas – all of which are sure to delight your fairies as much as your children!

House Happy Charm This is a small sachet pillow stuffed with good things, an excellent gift when people newly in love move in together. All the while you’re assembling it, focus on their hopes, dreams and your bright wishes for their hearth. Make a small pillow (I usually do a 5×5 square) from an interesting material. Leave one end open for stuffing.

Gather, mix and empower the following herbs: Sage and Sandlewood for blessing and protection Lavender for domestic tranquility Rose petals to honor their love Vervain for bright witchery A couple drops of cinnamon oil.

Stuff the pillow and sew the open end shut. Decorate as desired. In sacred space, dedicate it under the gaze of the Lord and the Lady. If you’re blessing your friends home for them, include the pillow in the ritual. If they’re doing their own home blessing, offer it as a house warming gift.

Beltane on a Budget/Discreet Beltane!

Bonfire: Get one of those wooden wick candles that crackles. Yankee Candle has good deals on them. If that’s too expensive, literally any candle (try leaning towards red or orange colors)

Wine: Lemonade (quintessential summer drink)

Maypole: Pencil (a tool of creativity and creation) with ribbons wrapped around it.

Mayday Bouquet: Just whatever grows in your back yard (as long as it isn’t dangerous to touch). Even just a bundle of grass is fine.

a lil’ love jar

so i made a spell to attract love (self, platonic, romantic, any kind!) to yourself, so here goes!

ingredients:

a lil’ jar or container (i’m using a small glass container)

some small slips of paper for sigils (prosperity, love, and luck) or incantations

some wax from a candle (any color you associate with love) for sealing

glitter/confetti (i’m using little star shaped glitters) for wishes

tiny pink flowers or rose petals for love

one (1) drop of any essential oil you see fit to use

something that’s vanilla or cinnamon scented for cleansing (i’m using vanilla incense)

a rose quartz for charging

anything else you wanna use that’s associated with luck, love, peace, etc.

a kiss and some intent!

directions:

cleanse your space with the vanilla/cinnamon whatever. now’s a good time to call forward any deities or guides if you’re using any

light your candle and let the wax melt some bit

draw your sigils and/or write out your incantations. then, place them in the jar. writing/drawing them out will charge them

using a cotton swab, paint brush, etc., place some of the wax on top of the pieces of paper in order to cast them

let the wax dry, and then place some of the glitter in the jar. while doing so, think of what kind of love® you’re hoping to attract. this will work as your “wish”

drop in your little flowers and whatever else you wish to add into your little jar

drop in your one (1) drop of essential oil and close the jar.

finally, kiss the lid of the jar to seal the spell. now’s also a good time to pray to whatever deity or guide that you called upon

let the jar charge in the moon, sun, etc. with a rose quartz

whenever you feel the need for love, just gently shake the jar

and voila! you’re done :)

How do you heal a broken/aching heart?

Tough one. I feel you.

This is what I do to help-

🌸take lots of long baths, especially with rose petals and lavender essential oils

🌸 write about your feelings - poems songs, etc

🌸 use lots of rose quartz in your space

🌸 get out of the house- see people even though you want to stay in

🌸 realize everything is temporary and the wheel of fortune turns

🌸 it might help to write their name on a piece of paper, secure it with a mariners knot and burn it. Blow the ashes into the wind

🌸 remember you’re young and you’ll live and love again

🌸 cry it out. Like really allow yourself to cry and scream and grieve. It’s cathartic and I do it regularly

🌱Planting a seed for spiritual growth...🌿

I know how difficult it can be to keep up your practice with a busy scheduele, a chronic illness or any other hardship. It can be hard to make any progress when you are treading your wheels.

I just wanted you to know that you aren’t any less of a Witch because you can’t practice when issues arrise.

If you are running low on gas but still want some spirituality in your life,

Here are somethings you can do to plant a spiritual seed to motivate you when times are tough, trying and downright tiring…

🌱Light candles and incense around you when you are multi tasking such as during study time. This creates the perfect atmosphere to remind you that you are a spiritual being that needs spiritual nuturing.

🌱Meditate for a few minutes in a quiet space. Sit up straight on the floor and practice cycling your breath. This can be done for 5 minutes to a half hour.

🌱Hold crystals while watching shows or movies if you aren’t energized. Practice feeling the crystals energy. Sometimes it can be too subtle, so use a clear quartz in your other hand to amplify its energy.

🌱If you are bedridden, there are many Witchy PDFs to read and there are many topics to learn. This is the perfect time to brush up on some topics, or begin a new journey on another one.

🌱If you are home after a long day, take the time to take care of yourself and the environment you are in. Take a nice shower or bath, use envigorating scents. When you are out of the shower, light some sage and cleanse your space. I do this a lot and I find it to be very relaxing.

🌱If you can on a break at work or school, bring a witchcraft book with you and read a little bit of a chapter on your down time. This can be really motivating and it reminds you that you aren’t just any person… You are an awesome Witch!

🌱Spend a little time caring for your Familiar and give them attention. Give your cat some catnip and see them go wild! This can end up brightening your day, and make you feel more connected to your magickal companion!

🌱Burn specific herbs like lavender for relaxation. Choose herbs that have the desired effects for you. I find smoke to be very therapeutic to see and smell. Make sure you can safely burn the herbs of your choosing first!

🌱Join The Witches Circle Amino, or connect with other Witches on Tumblr. Having a support group on social media can give you new ideas while helping you meet like minded people. When you are busy, you can pop in and say Hi anytime without feeling obligated, but still stay connected.

🌱Draw sigils, enchant beverages, seal your letters with special seals, use magick when cleaning and most importantly, make magick everywhere you go! Sometimes magick is in the simplest of things, so infuse it into everything you do!

These are just a few tips I thought I would share. No matter what happens in life, you are your awesome Witchy selves!

Cleansing Spray

Let’s face it. Not everyone likes to burn a bundle of herbs to clear there space. There’s the hassle of trying to avoid burning yourself with your cheap lighter, you get ashes and embers everywhere, and, well, not everyone likes the pungent smell of burning sage or rosemary or whatever.

I know there’s plenty of posts going around saying you can just use water and salt to cleanse your space, and yeah, that’s totally true!! It’ll work just fine, but sometimes you just want something with a little more punch.

Which is why I created this spray What you’ll need:

Purified water (for the base of the spray)

A little rain water (for cleansing properties)

Rosemary (for cleansing, protection)

Sage (for cleansing)

Peppermint (for energy, prosperity, abundance)

Lavender (for stress relief, peace)

Salt (whatever kind you have will work)

Essential oil (whatever you want)

A colander or something to strain the water with

A pot

A stove to boil the water and herb mixture

An empty, clean spray bottle

What to do:

Begin by prepping your area. I made sure I had all of my ingredients laid out, turned on some relaxing music, and lit my working candle. Prepare your herbs by washing them and gently patting them dry if they’re fresh. If they’re not fresh, measure out how much you need. 

Place the pot on the stove and turn the heat up to medium-high. Add your purified water and a splash of rain water. You only need enough to fill your bottle. I started off by adding some Himalayan pink salt (I associate it with love and protection). You don’t want to add too much salt if you plan on using this mixture to put on your walls or furniture. Add each herb into the mixture and bring to a boil. 

While the heat is rising and the energy in the water is increasing, focus on your intent and charge the water. Once it begins to boil, take it off of the heat and let steep until the water is cool. At this point, I stood over the mixture and stirred in some of my personal power symbols. If you don’t have any of those or a sigil you’d like to use, simply stir clockwise to promote good feelings or counter-clockwise to banish negativity. It’s totally whatever you prefer. 

Once it’s cooled down, strain the water and add to your bottle. You want to make sure it’s nice and cool so you don’t warp the plastic or let the plastic seep into the water. Now you can add a couple drops of your favorite essential oil and you’re done!

How to use:

For a quick cleansing effect, simply spray the area that needs cleansing and notice an immediate boost in the energy around you. Need to strengthen your wards? Spray this on your doors and windows and visualize it coating the entire surface, creating a barrier between your home and outside surfaces.

Spray this in your carpet before vacuuming to get rid of whatever might be sticking in those pesky fibers!

The possibilities are endless!!

🌳a park (great for all witchcraft, very versatile)

🌊💧a beach, pond, lake or near any body of water (perfect for water, sea, and love witchcraft)

👻a cemetery (perfect for death, spirit, medium, and floral witchcraft. Just make sure it’s allowed and you’re respectful of graves)

🌲A forest (perfect for forest, tree, nature, green, earth, and hedge witchcraft, here’s some tree correspondences)

Other witchy picnic ideas:

Stones/crystals to bring- it depends a lot on location and the general theme of the picnic! But a few favorites of mine are:

rose quartz, opalite, any aura quartz, sunstone, agate, tigers eye, and selenite (especially peach selenite)

Scents- I like to focus on scents a lot during picnics. It can make the experience so much more enjoyable! Location once again plays a huge role, but you can always spray your picnic blanket with essential oils, use strongly scented herbs or flowers, use a specific perfume, or even a specific tea that smells good. Some scents I like to focus on during picnics are:

lemon, orange, grapefruit, lemongrass, strawberry, orange blossom, gardenia, rose and lavender

Bring some little spells or offerings with you! A picnic in nature is the perfect time to do a little crafting, especially love, self care, fae, peace and happiness spells. And you can correspond your picnic with the intent of the spell!

It’s also a great time for devotional offerings and any other offerings, especially fae offerings.

Put together a picnic spell- an entire picnic can be a spell! Everything from location, to drinks, to food, and the extra stuff you bring along can be in it.
