It wouldnât do any harm to find other, mundane ways to channel your anger and frustration as well. The right time for spells
If you open old occult books, you will find loads of timetables. The saying âA time for each thing, for each thing its timeâ I believe stems from here. You donât just have âthursdays are for luck spells, fridays for love spellsâ. They go much more into detail.
They work like this: from bigger to smaller. So you have the season first. Then the phase of the moon. Then the day (as above). Then, of course considering from sunrise to sunset, the hours.
Which means that, according to old occult books, maybe that love spell youâve just read, should be performed on a spring full moon, friday, in the hours of Jupiter.
While Iâm so much happier with the approach that neopaganism has brought to this matter (either: do it when you have the time, or adjust your spell to the timing), this âold fashionâ of doing things has its appeal.
Letâs say you want to do a big spell, a lifechanging one, something more than the usual daily glamour or little luck spells. You select your spell, you select your day and everything else.
You look for that on your calendar⌠itâs five months away. Oh. You say. Well, letâs see the bright side.
You have five months to start collecting the supplies (the perfect ones, not just those that âwill make doâ). You have five months to start acting accordingly. Letâs say you want to do a job spell, or a home spell, or a travel spell. Start taking courses, applying to anything, looking for places to live, making lists of what you want, saving even those little cents you can by chosing a cheaper product over another one. And so on, and so forth.
All this will build up determination, focus, willpower, momentum. To the summa of your spell.

Reading up on sea witch spells and seeing people suggest putting offerings in bottles and letting the sea carry then away.
This upsets me.
Itâs littering. Please leave your offerings on something thatâs not harmful to the environment. A sea shell, rock or even just on the beach. Please donât use anything that could cause harm to the ocean or its inhabitants. Thank you!
Not to hijack, but all offerings in natural spaces should be planned to be safe for the environment itâs going into. This is why Iâm partial to offerings of water or other consumable fluidsâif itâs safe to go in my belly, itâs probably safe to pour over some plants.Â
Yes. Stop telling people to bury things in jars, particularly . Bury things in (unbleached) paper towels, or the insides of bell peppers. And donât bury things that wonât degrade. There are so many ways to do witchcraft that doesnât involve burying things that wonât decompose!! If you can, opt to recycle the item, or better yet, just change out all your spell ingredients for stuff that is eco-friendly and able to rot if buried. Srsly.

to add: making bowls or balls of ice to bury or to be carried awayby the sea. Use unbleached paper towels or banana peels(if itâs safe) to write your spell on, etc. There are many safe ways to do magic without littering.

The purifying fountain.
After finding this little fountain for 3 bucks at ace. I decided make it into a purifying fountain for my new and growing crystal collection. As you can see in the photo Iâm currently cleansing my piece of flourite for studying tonight.
But I also filled this fucker with storm water. Booyah. Anyone makes one of these will not only have a clean stone but a charged one as well. Seriously look into these little fountains if you can.
