A person who’s never experienced what I’ve experienced, could never tell me how I should think.
Scottie Waves (via wordsnquotes)
I hate people to ask cheerfully how you are when they know you’re feeling like hell and expect you to say ‘fine’.
Sylvia Plath, The Bell Jar (via wordsnquotes)
I have a stubborn heart.
I can’t make myself let go of you completely even when my mind thinks it is the most sensible thing to do.
Somewhere between heartbroken and heartbreaker I became heartless.
Sophia Carey
Do not allow anyone to consume you.
If he does not call, go to sleep. If he does not message, put your phone away and have a fantastic day anyway. If he acts distant when you are with him and refuses to tell you what is wrong, don’t wait for him, go home and do something you love. If he tries to insinuate you do not need your friends now that you have him, spend more time with your friends. If he tries to teach you a lesson through the silent treatment, ignore him completely.
If he plays with your feelings constantly, walk away from him. If he acts like your body is his entitlement when you are not ready, walk away from him. If he says terrible, unforgivable things and threatens to leave you after every argument, walk away from him. If he forbids you from doing anything you love, walk away from him. If he claims ownership of your accomplishments, walk away from him. If he demeans you or disrespects your being a girl and refuses to stop when you tell him it hurts, walk away from him.

I cannot stress this enough, you live for yourself first. He is a secondary character in the story of your life. Do not allow him to turn you into a secondary character in your own book

Nikita Gill, Advice for Teenage Girls Finding Their Way Through Love

I wouldn’t say I’m terribly lonely. But no one would look for me in a crowded room.

Don’t ever think I fell for you, or fell over you. I didn’t fall in love, I rose in it.
Toni Morrison, Jazz (via thelovejournals)
The galaxies in her eyes were far more beautiful than the stars in the sky.
Thoughts that go through my mind (via down2thevalley )
We are writers, my love. We don’t cry, We bleed on paper.

Calm yourself.
Your pain is terrible. It’s overwhelming. But don’t internalize rejection, or even a relationship that just didn’t click, as bearing on your worth. It doesn’t bear on your worth. Even if you are not an overly spiritual person, try to take this to heart - If the universe wanted me to be with him or her, then we would be together. Mourn for awhile if you need to, but don’t harbor negativity. Treat yourself with kindness and love.Â
Healing will come.

There is nothing more satisfying, yet disheartening, then finishing a good book.

Good things come to those who work hard, while others are whining.
