Irvin & Dorian Para III
location: Hidden Pages
Dorian turned the sign at the door to 'closed', it was the end of the day which meant that they could finally return home, pour themselves a glass of their favorite wine, sit down in the company of Whiskers and read.
As they closed things up, Dorian noticed a familiar pair of dark curls on the floor as they passed by one of the rooms in the back.
Irvin & Dorian Para II
location: Hidden Pages
Irvin was finding himself spending more of his time at the bookstore, it wasn't as if he had anything better to do and this way he could keep busy, hidden away of sorts. That also meant that him and Dorian were spending more time together, much to the fallen angels wishes, if anything they had made it very clear how much the demons presence was a nuisance and yet they never told him to leave so Irvin stayed.
Sent to Gilmore's place in a golden box.

Irvin & Dorian Para I
location: Hidden Pages
Irvin still wasn't happy with his circumstances, being back in the Hollows wasn't ideal but it wasn't like he could go anywhere else right now, Hell had done a number on him and the demon felt like he was being held up by duck-tape, a fragile object that could break at any point.
Too cautious to let someone interfere Won't take my hands off the steering wheel drained and confused So much to choose Everything to lose Has my ego bruised
Can't forget and I never will Cancel it with overkill Exhausted but I can't sit still Making me anxious but I'm high on the thrill
I am trying to understand Cause I give one hundred percent Why is there a disconnect? cause I'm not getting what I need I'm desperate swing and a miss I've had enough disappointment It might be my lens because the negative is all I see
Hearing what the walls say Takes me to a dark place And it's become hard to believe That that the problem isn't in me
Jason couldn't help but laugh bitterly. "Really? You get a break from that job?" he asked, shaking his head. "I wish you had been on a break when the accident happened," he said with a hurt look in his eyes.
"Yes, your actions, " he pointed again, "I know it's not your fault, I know you didn't kill my family but you took them from me. You could've taken him! It was his fault. He was drunk, and yet you didn't. That motherfucker didn't even have a scratch, and my whole world was just ripped from me," he said in a broken tone.
Gilmore gives Jason a pointed look." Yes, I have those that work for me, a small help, but I still do carry most of the burden of what I do and when times allows it, I like to take a break, breath and enjoy the small things."
Death sighs, shaking their head." Do you think yourself to be the first to come to me? To blame me for actions of others, I did not kill your wife and child that man was the culprit and yet it is easier to push it unto me because I am Death." Gilmore stands, eyes on the other." I do not want to belittle your pain Jason, I too have lost someone precious to me but you must understand that is how life is, unfair. You are not the only one to have lost someone undeserving of such a faith but is this how you would like to live life? Holding unto a past and a wound that will consume you, is that what she would have wanted for you ? "
Trevor smiled and nodded, "I do drink, probably more than what it'0d be safe for a human, but luckily we're not one," he joked with a soft chuckle, "I was also raised in Italy so we start young on the drinking," he teased, "please yourself at home," he offered as h accepted the bottle, "dinner is almost ready, "would you like a glass of wine for the wait?" he asked politely.
Gilmore smiles as they hear him, it was nice to see the Nephilim in high spirits, eventually they nod at his question." Yes and thank you again for inviting me for dinner Trevor, it is very kind of you."
Death glances around the room, it was cozy just how they imagined." If I may ask, what is for dinner? It smells delicious." It wasn't as if they needed to eat but it was one of the few things that they actually enjoyed, when done right food was quite tasteful.
Clubs weren't really her thing, never had been even when she was alive, but a job asked her to be there and so...here she was, after collecting the dunk idiot's soul, Morgan decided to have a drink before heading home, it was not like she was gonna sleep anyway. Somehow, her eyes feel on the guy next to her, she was just thinking he seemed...off "Well, that's just plain rude, distasteful and no way to talk to a lady! I'm sorry but you look like death, I'm in the business, so I was just wondering if I was gonna need to work a little more toonight..."
Irvin shakes their head." Oh if only it was that easy I would say go ahead but lady I'm a demon I don't really 'die' my soul is already pending elsewhere." He could sense what she was, a reaper just like Adam had been... It's then that a thought comes to mind, Adam was here right? Not to mention that Trevor was definitely here, of all the places for him to appear, the thought of seeing his exes was not a good one.
" I know I look like crap no need to keep looking move along now missy."
He smiled a little, trying to make Irvin focus on him and not on the idiot who was looking for trouble.
Jason frowned a little at the answer, "You look a bit battered..." he pointed unsure if the demon had noticed his state, "Wow! That's some news. Do you have a place to stay already. Looks like you need some rest. You can crash at my place if you want," he offered unsure if it'd be a good idea to leave his friend like that.
Irvin laughs." You're being too kind, I look like shit no need to lie." He had just crawled out of Hell, battered didn't even cover it. The demon sighs. it wasn't a good idea staying at Jason's but they had nowhere else to go, probably someone was already living in his old place and it wasn't like Zeke was around.
" Yeah, sure, thanks." Irvin finishes their drink, glancing back up at Jason." We better go before I do something stupid."
Jason hadn't gone to the club in a long time but tonight he felt like changing the scenery and maybe getting a little drunk for real this time. He was ordering his second spiked beer of the night when he noticed the smell of sulfur, making him turn toward a familiar figure who seemed to be in a terrible mood. "Irvin?" he asked confused sure that the demon had left town months ago. The tone in his voice as he argued with some random guy made Jason stand up and move towards them, "Hey, hey, it's cool, you guys don't wanna start a fight here," he warned as he turned towards the demon, "Irvin? Man you ok?" when did you come back?" he asked worriedly taking in the state of the usually friendly demon.
In truth part of them did want to start a fight , let go of some of the anger that he had been holding but then someone came between him and the other and it took him a moment to register who exactly it was. Jason?, the demon thought looking around the club confused, he hadn't noticed it at first but now the realization was hitting him, the demon was back in Hollows, of all the places to end up in.
"shit." He whispers under his breath, he didn't want to be here." I'm fine." Irvin answers quickly." I got back yesterday."
@hollowscreekstarters location: Dark Night
Irvin pulled himself from the ground, nails scrapping at the dirt as they gasped for air, he had made it out, after what felt like an eternity the demon had escaped Hell and hopefully they would be able to stay hidden for a while. He fell, taking deep breaths to calm himself, his body ached and there was still tried blood on his cheek and hands, right then they felt miserable.
After a while of staring up at the night sky Irvin pushes himself, legs shaking as he does. He needed a drink or two, maybe even a whole bottle, something strong that would call him down.
It all felt like a blur, the demon wasn't even sure how they got to the club but they did, soon enough they had their much needed drink in front of them, hand shaking as he took it. The demon could feel a pair of eyes on him and he was in no mode to be stared at." What the fuck are you looking at? Can't a guy have a drink in peace?!"
Trevor was glad that Gilmore had accepted the invitation. He had cooked some parmesan ravioli and fresh garlic bread and had a good bottle of wine cooling ready for Gil's arrival. He decided to remove Urie'ls portrait from the living room in case it was just too much for the horsemen, but he was still considering showing it to him if he was ready for it.
He smiled when he heard the door and moved to open it with the most welcoming of expression, "Hi, Gilmore, welcome, please come on in," he offered, moving aside to let the other man in.
@witheredpetalsmses
It wasn't often that Gilmore was invited to dinner, usually Warren was the one that called and ask if they wanted to join him and more often than not Death would agree but this was different, this was Trevor the son of their past lover.
As the door opened Death offered a smile as well." Thank you for the invitation. I'm not sure if you drink but I've brought a gift." Gilmore lifts the bottle in their hand as they step inside." I hope that it's to your liking."
