you heard your name being called out faintly behind you, bringing your attention to your roommate that was a few steps away from you.
โlittle ten,โ he teased, ruffling your hair when he caught up to you. you swatted his hand away from your once neatly combed hair. you pouted at sicheng albeit the smile threatening to make an appearance on your face.
โi hope you know i didnโt wash my hair this morning.โ you chuckled at his reaction, looping your arm in his as you dragged him inside the lecture hall. sicheng and you scanned the hall for any spare seats.
you heart dropped to the pit of your stomach when the only spare seats were beside the one and only, park seonghwa. you stilled beside sicheng, your free hand gripping the strap of your bag as you tried to breathe steadily through your nose.
sicheng noticed the way you tensed, shooting you a quick glance. โyou alright yn?โ he whispered, leaning in to scan your face. he now saw your furrowed eyebrows and the way you harshly bit your lower lip.
he waved his free hand infront of your face, quickly bringing you out of your state. you darted your eyes away from seonghwaโs side profile and stared at sicheng instead.
โyeah iโm good.โ you nodded. sicheng led you to the spare seats, your footsteps seemingly becoming heavier as your neared them.
โladies first,โ sicheng offered a kind smile. you shook your head, nudging him to take a seat first. you could feel seonghwaโs stare at your figure. you didnโt dare look to your side incase the tears you tried so hard to suppress spilled from your swollen eyes.
โand to end this class on a good note, iโd like to assign a group project which will be due in 2 months time. it will be 50% of your final grade. i will send out more details of this project later in the day but iโd like you all to form groups of 3.โ you let out a long sigh, craning your head forward to release some tension from your neck.
you closed your laptop with a yawn. โsicheng, letโs be partners,โ you announced without glancing at the sleepy boy who was still gathering his belongings.
