Realizing this post hit an audience I wasn’t expecting— with the whole antifascist thing going on with the ENTIRE PIECE I was sort of hoping it would ward off the very much pro fascist theology blogs. Because it’s been the biggest issue here thus far, LET ME MAKE THIS VERY CLEAR: this account is abundantly pro Palestine. The person running this account is a transmasc leftist who is not a traditional catholic by any standard whatsoever. Blue hair and pronouns etc etc. Evangelists, zionists, conservatives & terfs please either fuck off or leave a rude comment or something so I can block you myself.

Quite frankly I have no idea how the giant ass trans symbol carried by St. Michael here got past some of y’all!! My art is for queers & poc & folk practitioners & activists & disabled people & poor people & the people who care about any of these aforementioned parties!!! I’m from the U.S. and this was carved last winter, as I watched trans people in my community show up to protests again and again despite the terrifying uncertainty following the election. This is the bravery and justice St. Michael embodies and protects, in my eyes.

i honestly don't know how to say this but the survival of an entire group of people who are going through a active genocide should not have to depend on how well they are able to articulate and present their condition to you in a post.
