         PART  I .

     a  town  unknown.     a  blip  on  anyone’s  radar.     at  the  most   ,    people  merely  passed  through.     a  breeding  ground  for  a  new  type  of  bioweapon.     how  far  could  the  minds  of  other’s  be  altered  on  a  grand  scale?     in  silent  hil/l  they’d  find  out.     a  toxin  released  into  the  air   ,     the  hallucinations  brought  along  with  clung  to  the  inhabitants  braincells.     of  what  was  seen   ,    a  cult  formed   ,    convinced  they  could  serve  a  higher  being.     a  higher  being  that  was  truly  no  more  than  a  vision.

         PART  II .

      harry  mason  was  one  of  those  only  passing  through  when  he  lay  witness  to  an  attempted  act  of  horror.     a  new  born  to  be  sacrificed  within  the  town’s  center   ,    the  child  was  a  gift  to  appease   something   he  could  not  see.     in  a  heroic  act   ,    harry  rescued  the  child   ,    bringing  her  home  to  raise  on  his  own.

         PART  III .

      that  child  was  raised  as  cheryl  mason.     it  wouldn’t  be  until  her  teenage  years  that  the  past  would  catch  up  with  them.     with  harry  kidnapped   ,    there  was  only  one  option   ,    for  cheryl  to  follow  the  ransom.     a  ransom  that  would  lead  her  back  to  silent  hi/ll.     cheryl  would  only  get  there  to  find  that  the  man  she  knew  as  a  father  had  been  somehow  changed  by  the  town’s  inhabitants.     the  toxins  spread  all  those  years  ago  had  spurred  a  new  type  of  life   ,    altered  DNA  that  made  for  monsters  once  only  thought  fiction   ,    at  a  level  beyond  the  chaos  umbrella  had  already  pulled.     cheryl  would  barely  manage  to  make  it  out  of  the  town  alive   ,    lighting  a  fire   &&   leaving  all  behind  in  a  blaze

          PART  IV .

      now   ,    well  into  her  twenties   ,    cheryl  works  privately  as  an  investigator  into  strange  happenings  across  the  globe.     searching  for  any  experiments  of  a  similar  nature   ,    the  ones  not  making  waves  on  the  broadcasts   ,    with  a  mindset  to  stop  them  before  more  pain  can  be  exploited.

     that would require having someone to tell.     so,  no,  not really.   for adam,  it’s just him,  and his camera — and that’s about the closest relationship he’ll ever get at this point.   not that he’s ever had a problem with any of that,  but goddamn it,  if he’s going to die,  he’s not exactly the biggest fan of his poor camera being the only one to realize he’s gone.     ‘nope!  no search parties coming out this way anytime soon.’     a beat,  a shrug.   a laugh.     ‘so anyways,  i’m fucked!   how’s your weekend looking?’

        great.     no  one  knows.     no  one  besides  those  suspect  in  her  winding  up  here  in  the  first  place.     she’s  in  a  similar  boat  as  he.     she  might’ve  thought  to  tell  someone   BEFORE   setting  off  on  a  death  mission.     it  wouldn’t  be  fair   ,    it’d  be  hypocritical   ,    to  become  frustrated.     ❛    well   ,    my  dad’s  dead.     i  came  here  for  answers.    ❜    revenge .    ❛                     only  to  find  this  town’s   completely  screwed    ,    and  not  in  the  usual  ways.     the  kicker   &&   probably   not   what  i  should  be  worried  about  right  now?     where  the  hell  am  i  gonna  sleep  tonight?    i  don’t  think  this  dump’s  seen  a  customer  since  the  early  1800s.    ❜     a  final  flick  of  reception’s  bell  to  emphasize  her  point.     ❛   so  that  makes  two  of  us   ,    i  guess    .  .  .   𝒇𝒖𝒄𝒌𝒆𝒅 .    ❜
