You don't understand how important it is to me that Grover is part of this quest as much as Annabeth and Percy is, and doesn't always agree with them or follow them around, and actually calls them out on their bullshit.

In the books it always felt like he was the mediator while Percy and Annabeth fought and made all the calls, and he seemed way closer with Percy than with Annabeth.

I love how they're exploring the dynamics between all three of them as well as in pairs.
