One of the reporters on Twitter said that ‘Rapinoe is also unavailable as her target has always been the regular season’. Does this make sense to you? I thought she was out because of a calf injury? If she wanted to skip the cup games, couldn’t she have just said that or no

It's very possible she got injured but also never intended to play in the cup. She would have told Reign that and got injured in pre-season. Or they are using the calf injury as a cover so she doesn't have to tell the league they can shove it.

Either way, kudo's to her for not partaking in this bullshit 'tournament'.
