When Levi sees Eren for the first time, he thinks he’s going insane.

“You could have given that old man your change, you know.” Eren said and raised an eyebrow as in a challenge.

Levi ignored him.

It happened more often after that.

“You could help Hanji with her research.”

“You should take those leftover to Sasha.”

“You should smile once in a while, Levi.”

Levi breathed hard out of his nose when he heard Erens’ voice saying his name, but he didn’t reply.

When Levi answers for the first time, he knows he’s going insane.

In the morning, his guard was low. He blamed it on that.

“You could get out of bed earlier, old man.” Eren said teasingly.

“Piss off, shitty brat.” He said and looked over at the spot Eren sat not seconds ago.

It was cold. It was cold, because now Levi remebered like he remembered every morning and it was the worst part of waking up.

It’s been three years, he thought, and you still try to make me a better person. He looked to his right- a necklace with a key on his nightstand. He smiled faintly.

Just Dean being a sweetheart.

I hope you don’t mind me putting a mini rant, if you do, let me know and I’ll remove it.

This scene, right here, upsets me to no end, and here’s why.

I was rewatching this episode last night, and I gotta say, every time I rewatch it, I get more furious and my dislike for Missouri grows and grows.

She’s a psychic, she knows about Jessica, so I’m sure she KNOWS the trauma that Dean feels by being in this house. 

Instead of being supporting/understanding, Missouri spends the WHOLE episode treating Dean like crap. she mocks Dean about how goofy looking he was when he was a kid (handsome grown up or not, you don’t go around telling that to people, PERIOD).

She then goes and yells at Dean because he’s about to put his feet on the table. She could have STILL prevented him from doing so by asking him POLITELY. But no, she has to treat him like a dog that’s about to pee on the floor.

When they go to visit Jenny and she’s scared out of her mind, we have this exchange:

DEAN: Listen, Jenny, it’s important. [MISSOURI smacks him on the back of the head.] Ow!

MISSOURI: Give the poor girl a break, can’t you see she’s upset? [to JENNY] Forgive this boy, he means well, he’s just not the sharpest tool in the shed, but hear me out. [DEAN looks stunned.]

First, WHY the need for smacking him? Dean is trying to explain what’s going on, he’s NOT being out of line. Second, YES, he means WELL, he’s being PROFESSIONAL, then why the fuck belittle him like that, why treat him like he just cracked a tasteless joke? And FYI, lady, Dean is fucking SMART.

Then she mocks him about his EMF reader. GEEZ, lady, I’m sorry if Dean is a HUMAN with NO SUPER POWERS and can’t fucking read EMF with his fucking mind.

And lastly, she volunteers Dean to clean the house (it’s not like there’s another adult male there to help, OR that Dean will help anyways, because he always helps). Way to treat him like a fucking child who just made a mess (you all did the mess there, lady, so STFU)

So going back to the scene featured in this gifset. After all the verbal abuse Dean got from this person, DEAN IS THE ONE TO HELP HER DOWN THE STAIR, ‘cause she’s old and tired, and he’s a guy he was taught to respect his elders.

I srsly disliked Missouri & for the life of me could never understand why ppl love her & wanted her back. She’s rude & treats Dean like crap.

The “goofy looking kid” comment is particularly callous in my opinion considering that she‘s referring to a traumatised four-year-old who just lost his mother.

So agree! I never understood why the writers felt the need to write it that way. Laughs at Dean’s expense? Because she cracks Sam up and he looks pleased his older bro is getting slammed. I always felt mad when she said he wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed because Dean already thinks so little of himself - he doesn’t need help feeling worse. It was a strange decision on the part of the writers to belittle him in this way.
