Apple blossom off a tree by my barn that grew by accident. I had real good apples off it one year, and after that, not so much.
My lilacs are finally blooming.
There was a memorial service one year ago today. I knew SOMETHING was off.
Here is your basic tick, with indigestion. I found it on my walkway, by one of my cats.
Kitten be clumsy. Mama absentee mama. One died, 2 left. That makes 8. 🤨🫤😣
This looks like a tulip but all my other ones came and went already. Those get morning sun and these get afternoon sun. These seem smaller too. What do I know?
I feel like this pine tree be flipping me off all the time.
Last year my neighbor brought this geranium when he heard about my wife dying. I put this in a window in a cool room all winter and watered it once a week. I may have over-watered it, but it's showing growth. I read about pulling it out of the dirt and trimming the roots or something, but I didn't have the nerve to try that.
My daughter came home from Chicago for a visit. We went to the duck park, where this picture was taken. It took two 7 hour drives, but what the hell. She likes coffee as much as I do. 👍
It be raining like a mofo here abouts. It started about 30 seconds before we pulled into the driveway. We got soaked running to the house. The yard is flooded but it beats the hell out of snow.
These two trees are all that's left of my apple orchard. At one time I had 13 trees and time has taken them all but these two.
I used to have a golden retriever who went around the yard eating cat poop. Under this cedar tree is one huge cat toilet. Too bad I couldn't train deer to eat the cat poop like the dog used to. What a wonderful world this would be.
Cattage!
Tulips! Only 6 got ate. Yay.
Deer alley. Wolf Creek road. People zip through here doing 60 MPH, totally oblivious. It should be marked 40 for this quarter mile. Sometimes, if the carcass is far enough in the field, bald eagles can be seen having lunch. Once when I was walking down the road, there was a dead deer on the side of the road with about 4 vultures on it. I couldn't get my phone out fast enough before they all took off. On my way back there was only one parked on it. I don't think I bothered to take a picture.
