thanks for letting me know! I don't know why, but the files seem to have just disappeared from my drive. I have a dedicated email for sims stuff and the drive for the account is just.. totally empty now. :( no apparent reason that I can find
I've been on a break from playing for a good bit of time. while I thought I deleted all my CC files to conserve space, it turns out.. thankfully I didn't! here's a new google drive link! there were a couple of other files I'm not sure if they were included originally or not, or if they were from something I was working on editing by someone other than Habsims, so I didn't include those -- let me know if anything seems to be missing! they also haven't been updated since 2024
I've been wanting to play again for a while so I may try to do that soon. I'll try to upload it somewhere other than google drive too if I do, lol
What started out as a revised version of my Live For Something challenge actually turned into a completely new challenge. The purpose is still the same - to experience as much of the gameplay aspects as the packs have to offer and to live meaningful, eventful lives with your sims!
Well, maybe talking about marriage was a bit hasty. Mantis isn't exactly nice. Things seemed great at first, but then they had a few disagreements, and they broke up. They were together a total of... two days.
She went home, then visited the next day. Things got heated. Suffice to say, they're no longer friends.
If Mantis wants to fix this, it's going to be a lot of work.
Since Venessa Jeong seems like she's going to end up being married to Mantis, I gave her a colorful makeover. Here's also her new swimwear outfit to show her new tattoo and skin gradient.
The last couple of days have seen Mantis continue through university, rewarding himself with a few blind dates at the end of each term. They.. largely went pretty poorly.
After one bad date, he ran into a minor celebrity, and, wow! Veneessa and he had amazing compatibility from 'hello' and really hit it off.
And they're dating now!
He also visited his best friend, discovering he owns quite a menagerie of animals, and finally graduated, receiving a distinguished degree with honors.
He started work and aged up on his first day of the job. Everything's coming up Mantis, as far as he's concerned.
Mantis is already almost through first term. He's going to be paying for food and bills through school by woodworking and has already maxed cooking. When he did, he realized something about himself..
He is now a Perfectionist. Feels fitting.
Not much else has happened as of yet; he's gone to a bar a few times to scout out potential future spouses but nobody who felt right has showed up just yet.
Beginning a new Not So Berry save this evening. This is my founder, Mantis Ambrose. I play with the additional CAS traits mod, so I'm giving myself the additional rule that I have to pick traits that are thematic with the traits defined by the rules. To that end, Mantis has the additional traits of Evil and Hot-Headed.
I've moved him in to Gilbert Gardens in San Sequoia. Instead of jumping right in to the career I'm starting with trying to get him a degree to give him a jump start.
Hi! I've been a Sims player for a long time, and I've never shared anything I've made publicly before. I decided to change that today!
I really wanted habsims' Dipped Gradients in different colors for my own use. I've used it a ton over the years and its one of my favorites for any Sims that aren't just regular humans. So, I recolored all three lengths! Then... I got in-game and noticed for the first time that they had the effect of removing all detail on the skin under them. They give the hands an almost plastic appearance.
I went back through and redid the recolors a second time, and this time I added some texture back into them. The level of detail visible varies by color, depending on the brightness, but they look significantly more natural, I think. I've also added them to two additional tattoo slots and three body scar slots, so layering is possible. It produces varied, unpredictable feeling results, unfortunately, but when it works it feels pretty cool!

Available in 3 tattoo slots (lower back, lower front, upper chest) and 3 body scar slots (front torso, back torso, right arm)
Lower back is required for any other slot of that length, habsims' original shouldn't be required
37 swatches each - 36 @berrygameplay Candy Shoppe palette and 1 black

habsims is long deactivated, so I do not know their TOS; if this is in violation I will happily remove on request. As far as my retexture goes, I am 100% fine with anyone editing it, as long as credit is given to both myself and habsims.
