And don’t get me wrong I’m not going ignore that she -> suggested <- that tsunami marry whirlpool, or the fact she get Anenome on a leash or the neglect of her sons. The fact she’s egotistical, snooty and killed riptide’s mother.
A lot of her abusive behaviors stem from protectiveness of her children rather than outright malice. I don’t think she ever would’ve killed tsunami even if she failed to protect Auklet’s egg.
Can we not make this woman into the next reincarnation of satan? Especially when she screamed out “my baby!!” when Tsunami came home and wrote a letter telling turtle she loved him. She wrote this entire story of her daughter coming home. In the most recent books, she’s actively been improving behavior wise.
Coral isn’t the best mom in the world, but she’s trying. And I think people need to have a better faith look at her.

I think skywing twins or fireproof and that's how they survive one of them having fire scales
Really think about it first of all it's weird that sky actually survived. peril burning up her twin in the egg makes sense her twin somehow not surviving does not make sense. Also I'm pretty sure we all assume myself included that peril is fireproof due to having fire scales but what if she only survived not burning herself from the inside out because she's fireproof. And maybe fire scales aren't even exclusive but to sky wings it's just that they're the only ones with the mutation that allows twins to be fireproof in the first place so when other dragons have fire scales both dragonauts die, or the twins being fireproof is what causes the fire scales mutation in the first place
This started out as just a jokey thought of me wanting sky to be able to hug his sister because that's something he would definitely want to do once he finds out he has a sister, and also thinking it's funny if the humans(that has met sky) think all dragons are fireproof because sky is fireproof and they don't realize that he's unique, but then it delved into me generally thinking wait how did he survive his hatching and the more I think about it how is peril surviving her existence

I hc that Tsunami has NPD. I got the headcannon from someone else, and my reaction was "isn't that thr asshole disorder?" But i did my research and realized that no, it's not, it's a mental illness that does not make someone evil.
Anyways all this led me to not falling down the pop psych rabbit hole and learning to live myself and my autism instead of burying it. Thanks Tsunami.

Something about Sundew really gets to me.
Like, the dod knew pretty well they were being abused (even if some were in denial,) Qibli is aware the way his mother treated him was uncool, winter and peril learn and recognize they were not being treated well and escape, cricket is very aware that her grandparents hate her and wants a way to fix it.
But Sundew just... dosent really acknowledge that the way her mother treated her was bad. She constantly thinks about it, knows it's toxic, is vaigley aware it's very not normal, but she never really confronts it. She unlearns the toxic behaviors, and trusts people and forms genuine relationships, but she never really confronts the source.
And I dont really think she needs to confront belladona and fight her or anything, but i feel like just avoiding the topic isn't really good for her. But idk.

ok I'm the person from the ask about clearsight kind of being a colonist;
I don't think that she's literally columbus or anywhere near as bad, but what she does do in pantala is really similar to the incorrect version of what columbus did that a lot of americans believe and I think that that's kind of weird and it's weird that nobody talks about it in the fandom

clearsight is technically a colonialist and even though she helped the pantanians it's just kind of weird to me that she showed up and changed their language and erased one of their tribes by making half of them more genetically similar to her, and then in the future she's worshipped as basically a god.
also the whole thing where her descendants with nightwing dna view themselves as better than the dragons who don't, and the only dragons who's tribe wasn't altered by clearsight in some way at are the leafwings and they get genocided by the hivewings.
I'm not like, a history person, but it's a bit too close to the weird sanitized version of columbus that's commonly taught about in usamerica. She went to another continent and spread her language to all of the inhabitants on the continent and made their society better (obviously this isn't what happened in real life, but it's the version many people are taught) and then she's viewed as a great dragon by her descendants that oppress the dragons that don't have nightwing dna and use a book to justify their oppression.

Ive always liked Glorybringer but something about the pacing felt off. I heard like forever ago that it should have been a slow burn, and while I dont think that's the only way to do it, I would love to read/write it.

I’m not sure if Stargazer can be a Nightwing or Seawing name. Yes it definitely fits how some Nightwing names go and can describe a star watching Nightwing , but a stargazer is also a type of fish. So would that be a weird hybrid name??

Imagine Deathbringer (who is an egg) trying to explain to Darkstalker that the nightwings have never had a king. Darkstalker looks at Glory, (who is also an egg.) The entire time, Glory is trying to figure out why Darkstalker keeps making that face at them.
I have a funny idea of Glory waking up at 4 am years later and realize what that face meant.
