when their clan was massacred by a pack of wolves, only the elder shimmerice was able to escape, taking the clan's kits to safety in the mountains. unable to return to their old territory, starclan asked shimmerstar to start over as leader and guardian of the new wolfclan.

It's hilarious to me that Eagle clan has presumably never met the old clan they came from, like these two clans were at most seperates by some hills and mountains, just had to peek over the other side-

the mountains aren't very hospitable! each clan had plenty of room to hunt on their own side of the range, so why risk rockslides, falling into chasms, or being blown off the cliffside by strong gales, just to say hi to a clan you barely know?

that is, until wolves made the plains more inhospitable, and eagleclan took note of wolfclan cats exploring on their side of the mountains. even now, the wolfclan and eagleclan borders are some distance apart from each other.

#they were probably vaguely aware of the fact that there are other clans in the region #but only really hear about them from the occasional loner that manages to survive crossing the mountains while they wandered #ask

the map of wolfclan's territory and surrounding land. since they're still a small clan they haven't explored very far yet, but as their hunting grounds grow they'll encounter new "points of interest".

Camp: A series of caves on the mountainside, most of which connect to one big chamber within. Nestled between two peaks, the camp is difficult both to find and to get to.

Moonpeak: The higher of the two peaks around camp. A place where it's easier to commune with StarClan spirits.

Lake: Moderately sized, fed by little streams. Ices over completely in winter. A river runs from it downhill into the forest, with a section of rapids along the way.

Old camp: Presumed overrun by wolves. Too dangerous to go back.

EagleClan: Likely resides in the southeastern forest. WolfClan has never explored far enough to hit EagleClan's borders - and the only EagleClan cat they've seen, Duskstar, warned them to keep away.

I was wondering if you ever considered posting on comicfury? They allow gifs, and I'm sure all the comicfury warrior cats folks would adore your comic!

ive never used or read anything on comicfury but i would consider it

is it common (or at least not unheard of) for stuff posted there to not be in a traditional comic layout?

WOLFCLAN: Allegiances, end of Year 2

Year 2 recap:

Rapidwind had kits with an unknown cat, and brought Oriolekit, Finchkit, and Robinkit to be raised in WolfClan. Oriolesong became a warrior 2 moons early.

Rapidwind's muzzle was scarred after a fight with a loner.

Indigoleaf got her full name as a healer, after meeting with the spirit of the old clan's healer Brightstripe.

Galekit, Dusty, Toadkit, and Sunny joined the clan. Dusty is partially paralyzed from the back injury he got before the clan found him.

WOLFCLAN: Allegiances, end of Year 1

Year 1 recap:

Rapidkit had his ear shredded by a trespassing cat, which resulted in partial hearing loss. Soon after becoming an apprentice he broke his leg in a rockslide. He was made deputy as soon as he became a warrior, as there was no other cat able to take the role.

Shimmerstar mentored Rapidpaw, Polecatpaw, and Badgerpaw. Indigopaw decided to become a healer, with a natural instinct for the role, despite having no mentor.

Terracotta was rescued from a twoleg and joined the clan. Moons later, after seeing Rapidwind sneak out of camp at night, she tried to follow him but was killed by wolves.

While out looking for herbs, Indigoleaf runs into a sick kittypet, and offers her treatment and safety in WolfClan.

i've been dreading doing a portrait for polecatspot because her original sprite has like five different patterns going on at once, but i like how it turned out.

The patrol encounters an abandoned kit whose parents are nowhere to be found.

toadkit! so named for being found right next to the lake. at 4 moons old, he's now the youngest cat in the clan.

Is there any particular you can hint at an possible storyline you’re excited to show?

nothing is set in stone yet, but i do want to show some conflict between the first cats of wolfclan (shimmer and rapid especially) who remember their old clan's traditions and rules, and the first generation born to wolfclan (rapid's kits, and galepaw) who have only known life in the mountains

How many moons do you play ahead? Or do you play a moon each till you make a post?

i play 3 or 4 moons ahead of posts - it's useful to be able to foreshadow some things ahead of time (like rapidwind sneaking around prior to bringing his kits to camp) and have some inspiration for the moons where nothing interesting happens

#plus i dont wanna be blindsided if like. a murder or something crazy happens and i hadn't been paying attention to relationship levels #bc that would definitely require setup #ask
