Playing with ideas: Jungian psychology; what is a guardien angel; systemic corruption; apocalyptic love; the ghost of southern gothic; roots of obsession run deep; biting the hand that feeds; survivor's guilt; seeding and seething prey-animal rage; healing incorrectly and trying again anyway; perversion, violent impulse and God is in the room somewhere; finding a voice once thought lost; being the final girl... again and again; finding threads of peace in the cacophony; and of course... "one must imagine Sisyphus happy."

-- TW and a word or two beneath the cut:
Tw: domestic violence, systemic abuse/corruption, sexual violence/trauma, sexism, maladaptive tendencies/self destructive behaviors, gore/mutilation, varying forms of prejudice, toxic co-dependancies, medical malpractice, unbalanced/toxic power dynamics, cops, mental illness stigma, unethical experimentation, sex work, religious themes, sacrilege, psychological trauma, obsession, people getting horny over things they probably shouldn't, drug use/abuse, manipulation, exploitation, subjugation, brainwashing... and all that post-war McCarthyism and cold-war propaganda slathered right in therr. Good ol' murican Fear Terror Fear Terror culture of the times.
This is an Outlast Trials RP ASK/OC blog... and while this doesn't cover every last thing that occurs, it pins the brunt of it and whag occurs with my muse. If you cannot handle these themes/subjects or just Do Not enjoy engaging with any of these themes and subjects, then please take care of yourself and don't follow this blog.
Muse does not = mun, in any way, shape or form. Nothing here is condoned irl. If this is somehow something you don't agree with, then don't follow this blog. Hard block me, please and thanks.
If you're a minor, please dni. Do not make me comb through my followers to find and block you. Just respect my wishes. That's all I ask of you.
I'm a grown adult capable of making my own choices and I can (and will) write as I want, what I want and how I want... with care. If you cannot grasp that I'm capable of understanding that these are heavy themes and subjects, then you will be blocked and that's that. I don't have time for harassment and all that bloated/misplaced and deeply concerning levels of moral panic over fictional horror content in a hobby space... and tbh, neither should you. I will protect my peace, and you should do what you have to do to take care of yourself and block me. If you take any personal issue with what's being said here, then this is not the blog for you and that's fine. Please understand that I'm not trying to be mean, so much as I feel that everyone is in charge of their own media and internet experience, and I feel like that needs to be very much expressed and enforced. There will be dead dove: do not eat content here. It's Outlast afterall.
Alright, I don't think there's much else I can graphically do to her carrd. If I think of something I'll throw more at it. That said, it's the "being stuck" on how to conclude a summed up version of her bio that will actually be interesting.
Been so off-key with eveything since the start of the whole event with my old cst that now I'm like... where do I pick up? With All Of My Blogs tbh.
Brain been total shitmush about wrapping up the bio-- the very rough, break down is right here-- and that isn't even all of it at all.
Born in a small, rural southern Louisiana parish in 1931-- depression era baby. This would make her roughly 28/29 years old by the time she arrives in Sinyala after being bounced through the system after being snatched off the streets.
She is the oldest out of 5 siblings in which she had to play surrogate mother, she assumed head of household when her father is later drafted for the war effort.
Generally, her and her family, despite engaging in the small community from time to time, are relatively reclusive beyond sunday service, chores and work. This made them subject to distance and eventually rumor, beginning with her parents which only extended to her and her siblings. Most tension eventually is focused on her as she is the unofficial front facing "head of the family" before she even ready for it.
Mother is a manic depressive made worse in her isolation-- the draft ultimately makes this worse. She struggles with severe episodes, this unfortunately is ruled against them further and created a situation in which Lou had to step in and play dad when no one else could. This exacerbates distance, watching family lose it is great.
Had to drop out of school around middle school to continue to pick up slack for her family. Her father returns in shambles after a short service-- he needs help that he ain't getting, but boy he still tries. Lou is, at least at this point, the only other sturdy anchor beyond her mother who still tries to work and partake in service. This was her life for a handful of years…
-Eventually, in her own desperation to take care of her ailing family, and a gaggle of school-aged kids that help run the home, Lou starts trying to reach out more. Form connections, consider marriage in a couple of years to sustain. do things for her parish that ultimately land her in the sights of a young local cop by the name of Claude, who worked security for the church. "Respectable guy," helpful, ballsy, charming and an irreplaceable force in the parish. This is not to her advantage at all btw but don't tell her that.
Claude likes Louise-- liked her longer than she has known. Always had his eye on her and her family in general, a few occasions he was the onw who answered the call… he eventually makes this a matter of truly engaging her. Lou was just 17 about to turn 18, and Claude was around the age of 24-25-- they become a thing by the time she is 20.
We haven't even got to the fuckery that lands her in Sinyala yet, and the fact that she violently hallucinates dead Claude when she is jacked up on the Murkoff juice, I know we will get there-- but I am coasting on fumes. Important facts. We have so much more to put down and I am scared. How do I bio.
Always found it kinda neat how timeline of The Outlast Trials precedes the serial killer 'boom' that occured between the 1960s-90s in the US, given what we know with.
That said... shipping. Been having Ugly feelings about that, too. It ain't new for me by any means, and it isn't in total revulsion of it or anything like that...
THE BIO HAS BEEN IN LIMBO FOR LIKE 2 MONTHS NOW. Aaaaaaa.
Started again today, and changed so much up-- starting to feel right finally, though abit chopped. I'm now stuck at the part where I wonder if I should give All The Information on her bg, or if I should keep that for HCs and ficlets because I enjoy things being found out over time via through threads or lore posts...
