𝙱 ⸻ there was some hilarity to be had, in the fact she'd been the most sober one there. and had yet caused the biggest amount of chaos when she'd decided to step in. she'd come from a day of training and had been tired, and not really 100% in the mood for people. and not really 100% in the mood for people, hence the nap shed ended up having. and thus had enjoyed her silence for the most part, stopping her from suffering a sensory overload. but she'd also had conversations with people, every single one of them respecting her sobriety. and sure she'd struggled, given the scent of it in the air, and upon people's breaths. but she'd survived, and got to watch her man not only have fun, but also celebrate his hard work. [ but also indulge in one too many drinks, which had made her move of chaos, even the more hilarious in reality. ] she also knew with her memory, she'd forever get to cherish the sight, of him hitting his knees quicker than she' ever seen. fate and the roulette wheel allowing her challenge, an offer, turn from an obscure thought, to reality. the viral videos of the moment, some she'd even re-posted herself, only adding to the memory. ❛ i think i am beyond adorably hilarious ... ❜
sliding off her seat, she goes to the cupboard which holds her meds. as well as the painkillers she keeps on hand, just in case her back gets too bad. reaching in she grabs the small bottle containing the tablets her mom swore by for headaches and hangovers, and that payne herself had used on multiple occasions the morning after, when she'd been drinking. padding back she sets it next to leon's cup, grinning in pure amusement up at him. as sure she was managing to contain her laughter, but there was no hiding it from her hazel hues. no it shined there like the brightest beacon. ❛ in m'defense baby, you told me to have fun. i did. and plus how, was i even supposed to know the number would land .... ❜ she had no defence. she knew it, and it's why soft chuckles finally break free from her pierced lips. as she settles back in her chair, the stolen hoodie from the night before riding her thighs, as she reaches for her coffee. [ mostly as she wanted to use the cup as a barrier to hide her smile. that was only growing. ] a soft snort: flutters along her features, left hand now tapping against the cup, causing a soft clink from her ring. ❛ kinda expected you to change it in all honestly. moment i watched you hit the deck !! ❜ and she nearly died laughing. but that was a whole other thing.
