the liner notes second commission. dreamy, bittersweet and gorgeous. also the only non-adult doujinshi so far, the R15 rating is for drugs (interrogation room), mild violence and… a bit of Jokercest. one of the best things i’ve had the pleasure of working on. every once in a while i work on a book where the afterword has a vague reference to another piece of media that i can’t figure out for the life of me. this was one of them.

the liner notes i started working on this, put it down, and eventually came back to it. i thought it was funny that Dojima stares in awe at Bancho's chest despite, well... his own lol. but then i also noticed we never see Bancho's lower half, and he makes that remark about "a man or a woman"...
i later found out this book is named after a manga-turned-movie about a love triangle between a man, his girlfriend and the trans woman he accidentally runs into with his car. perhaps Bancho is not cis here...? i'd like to read the Daite manga as the movie condenses 5 volumes into a 90 minute softcore film, but it looks like it'll be hell to find secondhand. ):

the liner notes my first Genshin commission!! to be honest, i've never played Genshin and i don't have time to, so i used the game wiki, shipping wiki and cutscene clips on youtube for all the requisites - character info and background, converting JP names/terms to their ENG counterparts and getting the character tones right. i think i did alright, lol!

Hey thank you for translating that hypmic doujin. Hypmic never really got all that popular in the west (compared to other Joseimuke) so things like translated doujins are pretty hard to come by. Really appreciate it. (Can you please upload it somewhere)

I just wanted to say that you do an amazing job with your doujinshi as they are written really smoothly/naturally! I’m working on translating some myself but I often find myself running into phrases I don’t quite understand. Anyways, I hope my stuff flows half as well as yours! Keep up the good work!

the liner notes well… it might be better to read the doujinshi and then come back to these liner notes lol.
this should have been done relatively fast, but October ended up being quite a month for me. i stopped studying (my one solid daily habit for the past 1.5 years), started sleeping at least 12 hours a day and started feeling very… empty. then i sensed the reason: my grandfather, whose health had been steadily declining over the months, was about to leave me… so working on a story involving death was… awkward to say the least, and took much longer than i anticipated. after i posted the teaser on twitter i thought, the next full moon is 11/8, should i just wait until then to upload?
a few hours later, i got news of his passing. so… naturally i wanted time and space, so that became the plan anyway.
i love michi’s style, i love iwashu, if you love this too, i’ll be glad. but i’ll probably have some weird feelings about this particular doujin for the foreseeable future. lol
as for the promo, i knew i wanted a photo of a moonlit road, but once i started working on it i felt somewhat blanked out (can you blame me?) i got the ink ring idea from the book cover, but just as i was about to delete it for looking out-of-place, i decided to tweak the transparency and position so it aligns iwai’s and ren’s pupils.
when i submitted PJ Soushuuhen to MRM, i made an 1100px version since having to resize and compress 160 pages seemed like a pain in the ass. MRM resized it to 1000. this time i sent an 1100px version again and they resized it to 950px. i know MRM is the popular choice for the BL fans, but if you want a better res, go literally anywhere else. is this policy or am i being dunked on? （ー△ー；）
once they’re dead, they’re just gonna rot… only thing left is the feelings of the living… indeed.

the liner notes to each their own, but personally, i’m not fond of akechi, so ShuAkeShu is also lost on me*. but, i stumbled upon this book at random and it had a bunch of other personal appeal points: pigtailed pego-chan, femd○m, chikan, guest entries by downbeat and scale… and a diIdo shaped like Mara?! (╹▽╹*) this book is good if you want some very light bdsm, but a big letdown if you want anything else (full nudity, actual coitus…)
kombu-san wrote in the afterword that they were happy to put out the book but expected a lot of criticism as a result. i hope that that wasn’t the case, but the fact is, both their pixiv and twitter (which i had to dig to find) were deleted AND replaced by entirely different people. i hope they left of their own volition and not harassment, but… this is the persona fandom we’re talking about.
seeing as there’s not really any nudity, this is the tamest twitter promo image i’ve made so far. the subtle hint of naughty is the tiny peek of anaI beads in mahiru!pego’s hand.
