A&R
Korean Grammar - ์/์ด/์ฌ์ง๋ค - to becomeย โadjectiveโ
Today we want to look at how you can say to become โAdjectiveโ. This pattern is used to describe the change of a state - a really easy and very useful expression so letโs look at how to use it.
notes / ๋ฉ๋ชจ
As said before this pattern is used to express a change of a state so you use it with adjectives! When using present tense the change isnโt completed like โThe weather become better.โ (Itโs not the best it could be but itโs changing towars the better state) When using the past tense you say that itโs already reached the new state โThe weather became better (yesterday it was bad, but now itโs better.) And of course in the future tense you say or assume that it will be in a certain state soon โThe weather will be better tomorrow.โ You can use ๋ (= more) but it seemed like this is dropped often.
grammar / ๋ฌธ๋ฒ
First you need to know the simple conjugation rules.
Quick Review โข the last syllable of the verb stem contains the vowels ใ or ใ : +์ โขย the last syllable contains not the vowels ใ or ใ : +์ด โขย the last syllable of the verb stem contains the vowel ์ด: -์ฌย โขย ํ๋ค verbs: ํด
When the stems ends with ์ค itโs ofter contracted to ์. Of course there are irregular verbs/adjectives.ย
