Day 2123: Artemis (Oddesseyverse)

Amazon of the fallen island nation of Themyscira. Artemis was one of the many Amazons who died during the attack orchestrated by the followers of the Morrigan who were themselves minions of Nemesis the goddess of vengeance.

Brought back from the dead as a mindless slave to the Morrigans will but keeping enough of her sense of self to know who she truly was, Artemis would slay many an Amazon before being freed from the control of the Morrigan, aiding Diana in battle against them.

Storming the citadel which housed the Morrigan, Artemis and the others did battle with the gods. But one by one they began to fall with Giganta dying to strike a deadly blow against the Roman goddess of war, and Cheetah perishing soon after.

With Diana struggling against a surprise attack by Nemesis herself, things seemed doomed until Artemis turned the tide of battle and perished to turn the tide of battle and doom the enemies chances of a dark victory.

Day 2122: Cheetah (Oddesseyverse)

One of the Amazons of the lost Amazon island nation of Themyscira. The Amazon whose name was actually Cheetah. Having been killed during the invasion of the island by the forces of the Morrigan, Cheetah had been ressurrected decades later by the Morrigan as part of their newly created Hysminai, with the false name of Megaera given to her.

Sent to slaughter the surviving Amazons, Cheetah would murder many of her sister Amazons before Diana succeeded in breaking the brainwashing upon Cheetah, Giganta, and Artemis. The three zombie Amazons swearing vengence upon the servants of the goddess of vengence.

Thus Cheetah would track the Morrigan down with her hunting skills and finding their citidel, the four Amazons would storm it, only for Giganta to perish felling one of their number, leaving just one of them.

Anann would attempt to forcefully turn Cheetah and Artemis into new members of the Morrigan, bending them to the will of Nemesis but resisting her efforts, Cheetah swore never to be ruled by another and died, resisting the Morrigan to the end.

Day 2121: Bellonna

Roman Goddess of War. Bellonna was one of the Morrigan. A trio of war goddesses who served Nemesis in exchange for being spared from the death which the goddess of Vengence intended to bring upon all from gods to mortalkind.

Seeking to either kill Wonder Woman or twist her into joining their number, Bellonna and her fellow Morrigan led armies across the world, killing any Amazon they could find. Sparing none the destruction which they would bring about.

An individual reveling in bloodshed and mass slaughter, she drew nourishment from atrocity and horror. Thus she would gather up civilians from war zones for a blood sacrifice in her own name. Their cries for mercy a sweet wine to her ears.

When Wonder Woman leading her small entourage of warriors, went after the Morrigan, they were met with force as the two remaining of their number focused on trying to end Dianas life. Not wanting to lose their usefullness to Nemesis.

However Giganta would land an axe into Bellonnas head, gravely wounding her. Only to die in the act. A blow which would not end the Roman goddess who sought to escape and rearm.

Unfortunatly for Bellonna she did not count on Doctor Psycho or her former minion Ajax who finished what Bellonna had started. Ending the life of the goddess of war.

Day 2120: Ajax

Ancient Roman centurion. Ajax had been the mightiest warrior of his generation. A champion of his era and regarded as one of the great swordsmen in the eyes of the goddess Bellonna.

Cursed by the war goddess, Ajax would have a sword forever shoved through his heart, but be unable to die. Suffering for thousands of years through that pain which he was doomed never to see abated as he had been made immortal.

When Bellonna became one of the Morrigan, she took Ajax with her. Using the centurion as practice to keep her fighting ability up. Yanking the sword out of his chest to use as a weapon only to soundly defeat Ajax and force it back into his chest.

Tormented beyond measure, Ajax would find an unexpected ally in Doctor Psycho who possessing awareness of what was truly going on and what was at stake should the Morrigans dark master succeed in her efforts, allied himself with Wonder Woman to stop them.

Thus while the Amazons were storming the dark citidel from which the Morrigan lorded, Doctor Psycho sought out Ajax and offered him a chance at revenge should he agree to become Doctor Psychos minion.

With a chance to see his torment end, Ajax readily agreed.

Day 2119: Myra Clotho

Seemingly an ordinary human with nothing unusual about her nature. A 94 year old who had been in and out of a comatose state for decades. Never leaving the hospital she had been sent to.

In reality however, Myra Clotho was in fact Clotho of the fates. The fates like the other gods were struggling against the force that was Nemesis who sought to bring an end to everything. Myra Clotho soon remaining as the sole fate.

Taking up all three roles, Clotho spun the wheel of fate to choose what events came to pass and struggled to continue this out of sight from Nemesis’ efforts. Taking on a human guise to hide herself as the fates she wove spun on, the most important one of all came to pass when Diana made it to her bedside.

Revealing herself to Diana, well aware that she did not have much longer to live, Myra Clotho explained the true situation of what was going on to Diana. The battle against Nemesis. The fact that the other gods have either fled or gone into hiding. The true nature of things.

She would declare that Diana was chosen as the incarnation of justice. Explaining that the fate of all of reality rested on the shoulders of Diana and what she must do. Stop Nemesis and the Morrigan duo who carried out her will.

Suffering a fatal blow from an incarnation of vengeance who sought to slay any who opposed Nemesis, Myra Clotho gave Diana one last gift to aid her in quest. A thread of fate. Dianas own thread. This blessing allowed Diana to grant freedom to those souls bound by her lasso. Allowing them to pass on from the mortal coil to an afterlife which had been denied to them.

With curses being powerless against its power. With it, Diana destroyed the connection Nemesis had over those cursed to bring about vengeance in place of vengeance for themselves. Thus crippling Nemesis’ forces. The curse upon the undead Amazons soon to follow.

Day 2118: Pouli

A small little bird of prey that never did any harm. Pouli had been the target of Artemis and took an arrow through the wing on one of her hunts when she lived on the island. However upon spotting a hawk flying overhead, Artemis immediately lost interest on the small bird and ran off to seek greater challenge.

A young Diana discovering this wounded bird, would remove the arrow and bandage its wing. Putting everything she had into trying to nurse it back to health.

Tragically the wound was so severe that Pouli would never fly again, but the bird recognized the love and kindness Diana had for it. It would die a year later, never moving through the skies ever again.

However while Diana would go on to remember this as a failure on her part, the gods having witnessed this, recognized Diana as a compassionate soul and thus she was chosen to become the champion of justice. Even as great evil powers worked to level the multiverse itself.....

Day 2117: Diana Prince (Oddessyverse)

Professional nurse, Diana Prince was a medical professional who worked out of a hospital in New York City tending to those in need and caring for people so they may recover.

Princess Diana having been brought to the hospital by Doctor Psycho after suffering hundreds of compound fractures, massive head trauma, multiple organ failure, collapsed lung, severe blood loss, a thready pulse, and a comatose state, was expecting to take years to recover assuming she would ever pull through.

However Diana Prince would be startled to discover that a mere three hours after being brought in after an attack by the three mind controlled undead Amazons, Diana Prince was already fully recovered.

Soon fetching doctors Etta Candy and Steve Trevor, they would take the time to examine Diana, confirming her good health and wishing to know how it happened, for obvious reasons.

Diana voicing her own confusion, explains that she must leave but promised to return. For something drew her to the three individuals who seemed oh so very familiar to her....

However the arrival at the hospital would prove to be opportune, as she would soon discover another there who would help her in her efforts.

Day 2116: Alt World Diana 3

One of an endless series of alternate versions of Wonder Woman which exist in across the vast reaches of the multiverse. This version of Diana like several others was shown to the Diana of the Oddesseyverse so she may understand the scope of what was truly going on.

Born the only child to a mighty warrior king, this worlds Diana was raised as a man and trained as a warrior. Soon becoming the mightiest and most skilled fighter amongst her tribe.

However when she began to develop and her gender became more noticable and pronounced, she was expected to marry, have children, and put aside her weapons to live as a house wife.

Refusing, Diana would be exiled from the village but refusing to abandon them, she would live in the forests surrounding her home. Living off of nature and slaying any raiders which approached her tribe in order to keep them safe. Becoming tall tale which hunters whispered amongst themselves seeing, unaware who their mysterious protector truly was.

When a war band numbering in the hundreds began making their way to the village, Diana would return to the tribe and warning them, would lead them into battle for their lives.

They would fight off the invaders who were forced to retreat after losing to many of their number, with Diana recognized as their new leader and receiving the respect she deserved.

Day 2115: Alt world Diana 2

One of an endless series of alternate versions of Wonder Woman which exist in across the vast reaches of the multiverse. This version of Diana like several others was shown to the Diana of the Oddesseyverse so she may understand the scope of what was truly going on.

The story of this version of Diana would begin with her mother. One of dozens of women kidnapped by pirates to be sold to for their weight in gold to a corrupt warlord who would enslave women to serve his pleasures and live a life of imprisonment.

Leading a mutiny, this version of Hippolyta would slay the pirates and claiming the ship, Hippolyta and her fellow women would swear to oppose the slavery which was so common place on those waters.

So over the course of many years, Hippolyta would attack other ships, slay the slavers, free the ‘cargo’ and adding those willing to their ranks. Claiming ship after ship, forming a sea faring empire which worked to cripple the slave trade.

Decades later and Hippolyta would pass away. Bequeathing her mission and role of leadership to her daughter Diana who would continue those efforts. Becoming an unmatched naval power which none may ever oppose.

She would go on to take that battle to the ports themselves, forcing an end to slavery itself.

Day 2114: Alt World Diana 1

One of an endless series of alternate versions of Wonder Woman which exist in across the vast reaches of the multiverse. This version of Diana like several others was shown to the Diana of the Oddesseyverse so she may understand the scope of what was truly going on.

This iteration of Diana was born blind within a city state of hardened warriors who revered strength and prowess in battle while seeing any sign of weakness or inability as a great dishonor.

Thus this blind infant Diana would be abandoned in the mountains beyond the towns borders. So that nature itself may be her executioner and those of the village of warriors would not dirty their hands.

Found by an elderly woman with a lame leg, Diana would be taken to a secret village on the opposite side of the mountain from the warrior village. One peopled by those who had one disfigurement or another which would otherwise have led to their deaths had they remained in the village of warriors.

Growing up and learning to function despite her blindness, this worlds Diana would become well regarded amongst the village for being a skilled hunter who kept the village fed, and a mighty warrior who would drive away bandits who would otherwise prey upon them.

One day however things would take a terrible turn for while Diana was out hunting, the warriors of the warrior city state would raid her village, stealing what they could, slaughtering several including Dianas mother as an example, and demanding they prepare offerings by next year for they would come again.

Diana enraged by this would convince those of her village to take up arms and training for a year, they would follow Diana on an attack upon their enemies, crushing the invading force utterly.

With that, Diana would be declared the village leader, with her swearing to not allow the strong to bully the weak

Day 2113: Galenthias

Amazon of the fallen Amazon nation of Themyscira. Galenthias was one of the Amazons who fled with an infant Diana from those who would seek to destroy her. Traveling the world in hiding, constantly moving to avoid detection. They remained beyond location for decades.

In large part the band of Amazons sworn to keep Diana safe owed their success for Galenthias. For being a priestess of Hecate, Galenthias was a powerful sorceress. One who made the offering of her own power to her patron goddess in exchange for great and powerful magic.

As a result of this, Galenthias was unique amongst the Amazons for her form and shape. For her offering to Hecate led to Galenthias taking on the form of a black cat. Whether this was a sacrifice on Galenthias’s part or a blessing by Hecate to show her regard for her disciple depends on ones perspective.

Regardless, Galenthias was blessed with powerful magical ability. Allowing her to weave powerful enchantments including a means of obscuring the vision of even gods so they would never be able to find the hidden princess of the Amazons.

Weaving powerful protections all in order to keep Diana safe, Galenthias wove powerful protections and guarded Diana well. Second only to Philipus in the effort to keep Diana safe and raise her to become the hero she was meant to be.

Unfortunately, Galenthias’s spells were made so that all Amazons would be safe from them. A hole in her defenses which were exploited by the Morrigan when they ressurected the Amazons Cheetah, Giganta, and Artemis to wage an attack, slaughtering their way through those Amazons sworn to keep Diana safe.

Of that band, only Galenthias, the Seer, and Diana survived the purge. With Galenthias’ feline form allowing her to evade the attackers and carry out the will of the goddess to which she was so devoted.

Day 2112: Lattea

Amazon of the lost island nation of Themyscira. Lattea was one of the Amazons which fled with an infant Diana and lived on the run and in hiding. Working to keep Diana safe and raise her to become the great champion she was always meant to be.

Unfortunatly when the three zombified and brainwashed Amazons Cheetah, Giganta, and Artemis attacked, they would all be massacred. Many without even knowing there was an attack.

Lattea would be one of the Amazons with Diana when she returned home to find their stronghold hidden away in New York was reduced to a tomb. Ambushed and killed by the Cheetah as those Amazons with Diana were murdered all in an effort to leave her alone.

For the three of them meant to kill Diana. Not knowing that all of this was a plot by the Morrigan to drive Diana into becoming a creature driven by vengence and hatred. The three meant to become a sacrifice to bring about this dark fate.

Day 2111: Giganta (oddesseyverse)

Amazon of the fallen Island nation of Themyscira. Giganta in this universe was an Amazon renowned amongst her sister Amazons for her incredible strength which was comparable to a giant. Supposedly the strongest of any mortal being.

However that incredible strength did not come with invulnerability, for the Morrigan under orders from Nemesis would send minions to bomb the island and invade with heavy munitions. Slaughtering their way through the Amazonian forces.

While other Amazons fled either in an effort to preserve their culture and lives, a desire to spirit their princess to safty, or a deliberate effort to serve as a living target so the enemy would be divided in their efforts to hunt Diana down; Giganta would stand her ground. As one of those leading the charge against the enemy forces, Giganta would push them back, holding firm and slaying many of their number before being brought low by countless injuries.

However this would not be the end of Giganta. For the Morrigan recognizing her incredible power, sought to harness her to their own ends. Thus taking advantage of the gates to the underworld being sealed, they captured the soul of Giganta, sealing it in her own dead body.

Then they would incubate her corpse in the bath of the Erinyes. Waters born of the rivers of the underworld.

Akheron removed pain of the past and the ability to experience it evermore.

Kokytos removed lamentation and the capacity for sorrow.

Phlegethon removed love and any sense of compassion

Lethe removed memory and any recognition of her true enemies.

And hate harvested from those who remain trapped within the river Styx.

With this, Giganta was born anew with the name ‘Tisiphone the Avenger’ told that it was the Amazons who had killed her. Granting her a magic axe capable of cleaving anything it struck, Giganta alongside fellow zombie Amazons Cheetah and Artemis would hunt down and slay the Amazons. Turning their attention on their true target, Diana.

Day 2110: Attia

Amazon of the fallen Amazon island nation of Themyscira. Attia was one of the many Amazons who stole away with an infant Diana to save her when the islane was massacred by the forces of war and vengence in an effort to stop Diana before she could save a world that those opposed wished to see destroyed.

With the other Amazons, Attia strove to raise Diana well so she might be their next leader. The champion their oracles prophesized she would be in a world where all other gods have gone into hiding and even death was no longer a safe refuge.

With Diana finally coming into her own and tapping into those incredible powers. Regaining the magic lasso of the Amazons. And taking the fight to those who killed their sister Amazons. Things seemed like they were finally turning around.

However Attia would sadly not live to see this. For the two members of the Morrigan having conspired a plan to fullfill the wishes of their true leader, Nemesis. Had risen from the dead three Amazons who they had slaughtered in the past. Using the powers of the rivers of the underworld to erase their memories and bestow false feelings within them. Setting them on those Amazons still living.

With that, the three newly rerisen champions of the Morrigan would hunt the home of the Amazons while Diana was away, and slaughter their numbers. Destroying their defenses and warriors until the sanctuary of the Amazons was their tomb. With Attia being one amongst their number with only one survivor from the attack.....

Day 3009: Stone Lions

Creations of the Amazonian sorceress Galenthias. They were a pair of five foot tall golems born from marble and modeled after male lions. Sworn to guard the home of the Amazons.

The Amazons upon arriving in New York City as the latest in their string of constant moves to keep from being detected by those who sought their deaths, would select a six story apartment building that had been previously abandoned.

Galenthias using her magic would enchant it to escape the notice of others, with the other Amazons working to make it livable with the entire tribe dwelling within that one building.

While they were doing thus, Galenthias would take precautions in order to ensure the Amazons were safe. Thus she created and gave life to the two lions which would sit on either side of that front entrance. Comunicating with any who entered and left but never moving from where they sat until such a time as an attack would come.

They would hold fast, ready to lay down their short lives for the protection of the Amazons.

Day 3008: Aphaea

Amazon of the lost Island of Themyscira. Aphaea was one of the Amazons who had fled with the infant Diana to escape the forces of the Morrigan who destroyed the island and slaughtered much of their people.

Traveling around the world, Aphaeas contributions were not as obvious as others. She was not a skilled warrior. Nor was she one of those who was blessed with a great gift of the gods.

No, Aphaeas talent lie in tending to plants and she was not even the most skilled in this amongst those Amazons who fled with Diana. However there was one thing Aphaea was talented in and she put everything she had into it.

For while she was not as knowledgable about plantlife as others particularly in matters of their beneficial properties, Aphaea was fascinated by plants of a more...Active nature. Using this talent, she would discover, foster, and nurse carnivorous tanglevines. Plants whose very nature allowed a single vine to devour a man whole.

Planting these in the garden to the read of the home and training them to leave the Amazons in peace, she would take them along wherever they went. Raising defenses to keep Diana from harm.

Day 3007: Enyo

Greek goddess of war and conquest whose specialty was war upon cities and fortresses with the intent of destroying them utterly. Enyo was one of the three goddesses who fell in and became a minion of Nemesis when she began orchestrating a plot to conquer the universe.

The Celtic goddess triumverate known as the Morrigian would die trying to battle Nemesis, with her title being granted to the three who swore to serve the will of Nemesis. Enyo herself, alongside Anann and Bellona.

Thus now known as the Morrigan, the three of them would strive to aid Nemesis in her efforts to consume the world in a bloody vengence and topple all other gods so Nemesis could rule supreme. Well aware that her incredible power meant she could kill all three of them in but an instant.

Under orders from Nemesis to capture Wonder Woman so she could be turned to the will of Nemesis, the three Morrigan would fail in their efforts, with Enyo dying for her failure. Existing merly as a ghost of a goddess.

Haunting Anann and Bellona to warn them to be cautious, she made it clear to her fellow Morrigan that should they fail Nemesis she would kill them. Should they fail to capture Wonder Woman she would kill them. And should Nemesis succeed, she would kill them.

This prophecised destiny troubled the two goddesesses who continued on knowing they had no other choice.
