This passage came to me in mid August as I was doing my daily devotions and it has clung to my heart ever since. I find myself reading this verse over and over again, scribbling it in my notebook whenever the opportunity arrives. I want to engrave it on my heart, imprint it on my soul. I decided very quickly that I want to pursue this, I want to “trust in the Lord” and to find “confidence in Him,” to stand tall and strong regardless of the weathering and storms.

To the couple

To the couple who sat next to me at Bump N Grind on South Granville yesterday, I could hear you, your unwelcomed conversation that you so loosely dangled before me. Thank you for sharing your distaste for the coffee, might I suggest going elsewhere perhaps to the preferred location of your choosing the next time you decide to go on a date. I knew full and well that you were discussing my lettering and frankly, I did not appreciate your presence at all. Good conversation is welcomed and I don’t mind sharing with you but to speak of me as if I were not present or aware is inconsiderate and selfish.

You’re absolutely right, it was an open space, public grounds; you are free to speak as you will. But at the very least, could you please be mindful of what you are saying and how you are saying these things?

I hope you find a better place to have coffee and if possible, please be a better neighbour.

How are you? It’s been a while, I know. I’m sorry. A lot of things have changed in the past 12 months, I got promoted so I guess that means I’ve some how upgraded myself. I’ve developed a keen interest for property but I don’t think I will be purchasing anything any time soon. I’ve also decided to take up card making purely because I enjoy it. And I’ve become increasingly frustrated with my current situation and dissatisfaction.

When I was 19 I decided that my calling in life was to become a event planner and fundraiser. I can confidently say that I have achieved my goal as I am now the Development and Engagement Representative.

I’m 24 now but in the past few months I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what I want to do. I’m not the same person as I was and I’m certainly not as sure as I was at 19. I am re-thinking a lot of things currently, my career, goals and intentions.

In a moment of trying to spur myself to challenge myself I have decided to come back to this place to start myself on a project, a project with the intention of finding creativity.
