The gravity falls finale was a bit disappointing honestly. 

Pacifica’s character development was pretty much thrown away. Most of her few lines reversed her development entirely. She had maybe one line where she was reflecting that she had changed.

The zodiac wheel was all for nothing in the end. It was built up so much, just to be tossed to the side.

The ‘sacrifice’ Stan made was resolved almost instantly, taking away any emotional weight it would of had. The fact that he immediately got all of his memories back entirely seems a bit ridiculous. In the end, the sacrifice meant nothing at all. Also, wouldn’t this mean Bill is still in his mind somewhere? I was hoping when Ford pulled Stan away to talk about a ‘problem’ that he would bring this up, but was disappointed. I hope that statue hunt thing will follow up on this.

Mabel gets away with being selfish, never really facing her flaws. Even in the end of the mabeland episode, she still wanted Dipper to abandon his dreams for her.  Oh and nobody ever found out that Mabel handed over the rift.

Overall the finale felt rushed/forced and was a big cop out for what it deserved. There were so many loose end never resolved, and it felt like the ‘mysteries’ didn’t matter anymore. I know it’s difficult to tie everything up in just 45 minutes but it’s just sad to see.
