hiya !!! idk how to Intro Post so for now imma have this. this is my pjsk side blog !!! mostly wxs bc theyre on my mind the most but i love everyone in pjsk. i like liking things. i promise.

disclaimer !!! i don't plan to make analytical posts .. im just a silly guy. im gonna make silly posts abt silly things. ill occasionally post A Thinker but im usually not that confident in them lol.

if pjsk was anymore cartoony, they wouldn't be scared to make the winds would start blowing every time tsukasa opens his mouth

wxs production of goldilocks n the three bears but its one of those subverting every expectation ever plays

we open on tsukasa !!! this is goldilocks !! (emu is quickly corrected, he is goldiPUFFS: goldilocks is his lovely sister!)

goldipuffs stumbles upon a house in the woods— with its door wide open!!! (emu informs us that goldipuffs is a law-enforcing citizen and this clear carelessness for privacy is unacceptable !!!)

upon yelling for the house owner to no avail (aka tsukasa yelling as loud as he can until the toddlers in the crowd laugh at a decent volume), goldipuffs steps inside.

upon entering the house he Stunt Stumbles over three chairs that staircase in size. thank goodness those didn't break !!!

he tries calling for the house owner again Inside the house but finds nothing, only to find the dining table! why, goldipuffs is quite the fan of porridge! and three whole bowls!!!

as to teach the house owner a lesson he decides to steal a nibble. er sip. goldipuffs tries all three and their varying temperatures, disgusted. THEY ALL TASTE LIKE !! BUTT !!! this simply will not do.

he scurries to the kitchen only to find the shelves empty !!! as hes about to lament not being able to fix the porridge in come rui, nene, and robonene dressed in bear onsies. and carrying groceries.

goldipuffs immediately apologies and tries to explain what he was doing. papa bear doesn't seem that bothered, although mama bear disapproves of him regardless. robo bear only remarks about his puffy hair.

mama bear explains that they had to take an emergency grocery trip after papa bear made dinner. he somehow depleted all their resources in all his scrapped attempts at making Awesome porridge. when he finally gave up and made normal porridge, they had nothing to accompany it with !!

robo bear gives her porridge to goldipuffs cause she was only admiring it anyway. with that, the story ends with goldipuffs and the three bears each adding their own personal adjustments to the porridge because everyone's tastes are different. hooray !!!

tsukasa standing up a milisecond before rui, deciding to pick up both his AND rui's bag (so he can hand it over) (such star-like behavior!)

only tsukasa goes to pick it up and immediately eats dirt

rui always casting himself as the villain or writing himself as a monster is so compelling because he has such a deep rooted association between getting what he wants and being punished for it / especially before wxs, he thinks that his happiness is always dependent on the suffering of others and that other people will always fear him and reject him for being himself. and it’s notable that rui’s fear is more than just the fear of what others will do to him, but also the fear that there is something actually wrong and evil and rotten within him, that every hurtful thing that’s been said to him was actually deserved because he overstepped his bounds or reached for something he can’t have.

these days the term queercoding has become totally bastardized and misappropriated BUT i do believe that rui’s characterization is absolutely in conversation with classic textbook queercoding, except it’s turned on its head — queercoding was originally coined to describe how media uses queer aesthetics and stereotypes as shorthand for evil, playing on societal homophobia and transphobia to make fictional villains Scary and Other to a presumed cisheteronormative audience (particularly in the wake of the AIDS epidemic with media representing queerness as a disease itself). rui imagining himself as a monster, the sea witch, the scary wizard at the edge of town therefore reads as an internalization of those narratives that would cast queerness (or generally otherness) as bad and dangerous and malicious, especially combined with the fact that he is rather flamboyant + speaks with a lilt + loves theatre. he really is written like a queercoded disney villain, just deconstructed to show that he craves understanding and connection like anyone else. which fits how the wxs storyline has always been interested in mythology and stories and twisting them around.

i like to think of wxs taking side gigs . somewhere in the timeline. of like.. training their asses off. they dilly dally. as wxs.

they're the waiting act at the pediatrician's office now. they're teaching your kids to swim. they're serving ice cream!

i just KNOW rui lies awake at night on his couch —trying to sleep for once— and then he remembers he has friends and he starts giggling and kicking his feet

everyone ever has mentioned emu is smarter than we give her credit for, but have we like !!! actually actually talked about it ?!

being whimsical is an active choice. being whimsical is actually a lot harder than being serious !!! you have to actively plan your next move, next reaction- what could make someone smile while not misreading the tone of the current situation Or conversation Or mood.. the last thing you want is to make anyone Frown !!!

im making emu's Sun-ness sound like an act- be sure it's not ! it's a way of thinking ! the same way realists or optimists or pessimists see something, then translate it into whatever their thought process is ! things are objective until you decide they're not ! for some people, it's automatic, but as someone with Unspecified Alien Symptoms, you have to actively tune your antenna ykyk

CONCLUSION! appreciate your sunshine friends!! they do a lot more thinking than they tend to let on. and also emu otori is awesome and cute

wonderstage show rui creates about an alien figuring out silly Normal Human Things about the world so that kids don't feel embarrassed about having questions or trying new things

tsukasakun shall be the alien, of course. nene is the human he unfortunately crashed to. emu is their neighbor. rui narrator as always

it's an ongoing series of silly adventures with little/no scripts cause !!! there's audience participation !!! (kinda like how in kids shows the protagonist will look for help from the viewer)

the show isn't limited to the stage methinks. perhaps it follows them around the park. perhaps tsukasa will just randomly walk around in alien wear like a mascot, interacting with whoever approaches

when he's free roaming, he's usually with at least one other because they sort of act like his "adult" —since alienkun is representative of a child— but adult in the sense of a role model. everyone is different but we can all be friends, isn't that exciting?!

what if they have a bit where rui (narrator) offers tsukasa (alienkun) a fist bump but theres always a catch and he falls for it everytime.

i like to think tsukasa's reactions get more and more extreme. he paces around at night thinking of the next way he's going to react to getting Robbed Of A Fistbump As An Alien. absolute cinema
