Hello, After joining a Detroit turning club zoom meeting i decided to do a youtube live & turn a bowl. This wood is Cyprus, it was grown in South Australia. ( i live in Sth AU)I left this bowl rather thick as it has loads of cracks & i didn't want it to explode on me. No CA/supa glue.Burnt two rings in the top & i used wooden ice cream stick to make the burn mark.I used Yorkshire grit & a walnut shine juice i make.

The munchies bowl. Wood is Cyprus. I didn’t want to lose the natural feature in the knot but unfortunately the knot was to loose to keep in, but i managed to keep the outta part.

Bug hole bowl. Wood is gum, type unknown. This has gone to it’s forever’s home. I used Yorkshire grit & my version of shine juice.

3 inch goblet.

Wood is gum, unsure what type. Berry noice natural colouring in this piece.

Bud vase. Wood is Ghost Gum. I was messing around with the ribbed look at the bottom & burnt ring at the top to try & break up the slight tapper.

Blurple goblet. The wood is Desert Ash.   I like staining wood with cosmetic dyes, this is magenta & blue.Ii figured i left the magenta to dry long enough but once i applied the blue it iwent purple straight away but no matter the colour mix it still looks very noice. Can see blue rings top & bottom

Large goblet with live edge. The wood is Pine. Smells really noice when turned. Every pic i put up there is a video of it’s making, on my youtube channel. ☺.

Magic Mushy.. eg Gold Top with a little saw dust glued around the edge.
