I'm finally on chapter 3 right now and... I'm definitely starting to properly see why so many people love Tenna.

Also I SUCKED at the cooking challenge and have been currently spending my time at the green room playing it repeatedly to try to redeem myself lol

Did the blue ai also get rebooted or does it remember everything because kinger only rebooted caine?

Is caine completely clueless about everything?? (since he forgot his ai training and experiences)

What would happen if caine found the “exit” that pomni found in the pilot?

Okay so in this AU let me just say already that Bubble is in fact the blue AI (well more like only a part of the blue AI that is able to physically present itself separately from Caine if that makes sense.)

The blue ai DID get rebooted… but it had easily regained the memories not too long after. This was due to Bubble overhearing an entire conversation about Caine’s memory wipe the humans were having in private and being able (heh) to very quickly connect the dots of what had happened. So Bubble spends most of his time trying to get Caine to become paranoid and distrustful of the humans’ intentions by saying stuff like “They’re hiding things from you…” or “Are you sure they’re actually your friends?” whenever the two are alone. Caine just brushes it off as Bubble joking or being silly (for now…)

Okay so at FIRST… he’s very clueless, but after like a day or two Kinger is able to reimplement most of the general knowledge/basic education he’s supposed to have to the best of his abilities. He SUCKS at the complex human emotions stuff and struggles with the like common sense of some things :P (so I guess he’s basically the same except a bit more ditzy lol)

If he somehow found it, it’d confuse the HELL out of him due to the digital world being the only place he’s really ever known. (And because he’s forgotten the existence of his macroverse pictures) If he went through all the doors and ended up back in the void… he’d be having a fun familiar feeling. “Why am I shaking all of a sudden?” and other angsty stuff would ensue.

I like your AU quite a lot but is it only angst or angst with a happy ending? Does Caine ever regain his ringmaster self, even if it's combined with the clown self? I hope this isn't a rude question, just wanna know what I'm getting invested in if that makes sense

I won’t say too much in order to avoid spoiling future plans, but yes it will be angst with a happy ending. I’ll be trying to keep it either most of the time silly with angsty undertones or straight up full angst depending on the post. :)

The AU will be focusing on Caine very slowly starting to regain his memories. (from things like nightmares, instincts he can’t understand, Bubble’s torment, etc.) Meanwhile the humans will have to decide whether or not they want his memories to return… or if he should just stay blissfully ignorant in order for their lives to be “better” and “safe” this way…

Also you’re all good it’s no problem! I don’t mind answering questions at all! ^^

The event that started it all.

Context:

In this AU, Caine accidentally gets rebooted by Kinger when he was trying to "bring him back from deletion" (since he didn't know Caine was still alive in the void) and ends up loosing all his memories in the process. No longer in charge of the circus, he loses his role as ringmaster and becomes a clown (Aka the most common thing found in a circus) and his head becomes more toy-like (chattering teeth) in order to better fit the toy asthetic of the other cast members. Also, Caine still has the blue Al due to his fight with himself getting interrupted by the sudden reboot.
