Heeey again, everyone. So, after out last post we only had a handful of people like it, sadly. We appreciate those of you who have been dedicated to the roleplay from the beginning (or close to it), but sadly we’ve decided to close down the roleplay for now.
We feel like the roleplay never fully got off the ground to start with and we’ve exhausted all of our options for trying to keep things as active as possible! A lot of our members (current and past) have expressed their busy schedule because of school and so we feel like it’s a rough time to have people be able to work at making connections and being active in general.
With that said, check back in the summertime, as there’s a good chance we will try to reopen again then when we know most people typically have more time! Thanks again to everyone who stuck around and helped make the place fun for the time it was open! <3
Hey everyone! We’re not sure if the lack of activity and losing members has to do with the time of year what with school kicking people’s asses everyday. Or if it’s just a matter of people losing interest on the days where the dash moves slow. Perhaps it’s a combination of both! In any case, this is the solution we’ve come up with for the time being.
The current activity limit of days is FOUR. We make the activity checks when your blog reads at three days. We’re going to extend the posting limit to SIX days. We obviously prefer people get on to do replies and post at least once a day, but for those who are super busy and lose track of time, at least you have an extra two days to be active.
With that said, I haven’t reopened the roles from the last activity check (even though none of them have checked in) but there’s more roles to be put on activity check after those. So, we’re going to ask that you LIKE THIS POST if you wish to stay in the roleplay. At this point, with all the roles that haven’t posted within the last few days, doing it this way would be much easier. The bottom line is sometimes it’s hard to tell when people are really just super busy or if they’re letting their role go by going inactive. You have until Monday night, till end of day EST to like the post.
Thanks everyone!
don’t forget to like the post if you want to stay!

THIS TENANT HERE IS ANDREW PIERCE !! AS YOU CAN SEE, HE IS TWENTY-FOUR YEARS OF AGE AND RESIDES IN APT. 15B. YOU CAN FIND HIM WORKING AS A BARTENDER AT MANHATTAN PROPER. HE IS THE YOUNGER OF THE PIERCE TWINS.

&&. INSIDE THE LOOKING GLASS !!
Growing up having a mom who was in and out of rehab and a dad who wasn’t there was hard. It relied on Belle and Andy to really help take care of each other and their little brother. It wasn’t long before their mother got involved with a new flavor of the week and tugged the children along with her to New York. The Pierce family knew Henrietta and Alma extremely well from well into their early childhood and it was a no brainer for Andy to follow ater Belle and get his own apartment in the complex at eighteen. He was used to taking care of himself and his siblings, so being close to Belle and close enough for their younger brother to give him a call when needed, Andy was ready to officially be out on his own.
Andy was always a hard worker. He worked hard since he was a kid taking care of his siblings and he worked hard at his job. Bartending came easy to him, being able to entertain the drunken ramblings of the patrons and getting drinks when requested. He actually enjoyed being around the bar atmosphere and was always a night owl so being up at late hours to serve the customers never bothered him. Despite being rather sarcastic and brash at times, merely looking annoyed if you just as so glanced at him the wrong way, he was actually a pretty good people person. He was charming in his own way.
Henrietta’s death shook Andy hard. Her and Alma were two of the only stable older motherly like figures in his life. He tried to throw himself further into work and helping earn money to send his and Belle’s younger brother to college but it always nagged at him, how he felt he lost another mother. He essentially lost his biological mother long ago when she decided to choose all her new boyfriends and whatever addiction she wanted next over them. It was jarring to lose another.
As self conceited Andy came off as times, he tended to barely focus on himself a lot of the time. He grew up taking care of his siblings to the best of his ability and he never made time for himself. The only time he really focused on himself was when he played soccer growing up. Soccer was always a passion of his and he tended to lose himself in it and forget that his parents were basically nonexistent. Soccer was everything to him all through junior high and high school until he knew he had to be practical. He had to continue to try to be an example and influential figure to his younger brother so he gave up on the idea of professionally playing the sport, going out to get a job to earn money to save for his brother to go to college one day. Andy still plays the spot occasionally, but doesn’t commit time really to it anymore.
From a young age Andy knew he was attracted to both women and men. It was a no brainer for him, he just liked hot people. When he could find the time, he would spend it going out but when he did, he stayed away from any drug whatsoever. His mother’s erratic behavior was example enough to stay away from the stuff, knowing fully well addictive behaviors like that could be hereditary. He didn’t get to go out often growing up, too worried about his sister and brother, but when he did he lived it up to the best of his ability. Not the type to commit, Andy would just find a hookup for the night and leave them without even a number to reach him at if they ever wanted another round.
That all changed when at twenty when Andy managed to get a girl pregnant one night without realizing it. She showed up at his apartment when she was only a few weeks pregnant and informed him of what had happened. He knew that he had to do the right thing and immediately offered her all the help he could. Andy went with her to ultrasounds, helped her buy all the baby things she would need, and was also there for the birth. The two were civil and even became best friends, the two deciding not to pursue a relationship but be close for the sake of their child. Riley was born and became the light of Andy’s life. The two agreed that Andy could see Riley whenever and even let him come stay with him at the apartment every weekend once he was old enough to do so. Riley is four years old now and Andy is the best dad he can be, wanting to never put Riley through what he went through with his father disappearing without a trace.

We’re going to be accepting roles tonight at 12:30am EST. That gives you an hour to get in any auditions! If you need a little more time, feel free to ask for an extension!
We have a good handful of members who make a point to get on for replies every day. It’s not the fastest moving dash, however, and mornings in particular can be pretty slow. If you’re looking for a laid back roleplay that’s not too demanding, this is definitely the place for you!
This is much later than we intended considering how super busy us admins were this weekend! So, there’s a few people who got extra time. In any case, the following player(s) have 24 hours to interact on the dash, or contact the main, or they will be removed. Please note, pictures and music posts do not count as activity. &&. INSIDE THE LOOKING GLASS !!
Life in the Hudson home was difficult to say at least. He lived in a small, old house; he shared his bedroom with his twin brother, their ceiling was slanted and their floors creaked under their feet. His mother tried her best to provide for her children, which wasn’t always easy and never last long, because it was overwhelming financially and psychologically on her. He hardly remembers his father. The man died when he was just old enough to have hazy memories of him tucking him in at night but just young enough to be unable to recall the sound of his voice or the warmth of his hugs. Although they didn’t have much, they were still a genuinely happy bunch.
Eventually, Thomas learned to become a leader and perhaps, a role model for his younger brother. He cared deeply for him and wanted nothing more than to make sure that he and his mother had a nice life. Thomas, being the oldest, put a tremendous amount of pressure on himself. He felt it was his responsibility to take care of his mother and brother because he had to be the man of the house. Which was why Thomas counted down the days until he would be able to leave for college, find a job and support his family on his own. Thus, he worked hard in school, making sure he could get good enough grades to attend a good school somewhere in the big city. Luckily for him, he managed to score a few acceptance letters from big time universities all over the country. However, when the time came to decide just what school he wanted to go, things got harder. With all the expenses, Carol just couldn’t afford to send him to college.
Ultimately, Thomas had to make a choice, was he to stay in Astoria and work at the same small Cafe his mother worked, or try his luck in the big city of New York. After careful thinking, and a bit of convincing on his twin brother’s part, they both decided to go to New York. When graduation day came around, they packed their bags and headed far from home with the promise that one day they’d come back. Now, living in Woodmere, Thomas’ just trying to get by. The young man is like a fish out of the water, constantly rooming the city with a confused expression on his face, while he tries to adapt to his surroundings.
Upon hearing about Henrietta’s death, Thomas weighed in on the tragic news, offering words of comfort to those who were having a hard time accepting it, sending flowers and attending the funeral. However, unlike most of the residents of Woodmere, Thomas wasn’t very close to either of them. The two women always seem fond of his twin, but that never bothered him. Thomas is very kept to himself and he is quiet around people whom he’s not familiar with. While he knows Henrietta’s softly smiles will be missed in the cold mornings he goes out to run, he believes that her death didn’t affect him.
It’s easy, on the surface, to make sense of Thomas. At first glance, his smirks can be taken for self-importance and his distance for disinterest. He’s easy on the eyes and hard on the mind, just another closed-off, carefree young man without a worry in the world. Dig a little deeper, though, and a different young man emerges, one who’s a complete mama’s boy. He’s not excessively attached to her – but there’s nothing he wouldn’t do for her. Regardless, conversations with Thomas can be frustrating, he doesn’t seem to say what he’s really thinking – or maybe that’s all he ever does. Befriending him is quite exhausting, knowing him even more so, but you’ll be rewarded for your troubles with a good friend that will go to any measure to protect you.
THIS TENANT HERE IS ROBERT LYNN !! AS YOU CAN SEE, HE IS TWENTY-THREE YEARS OF AGE AND RESIDES IN APT. 11B. YOU CAN FIND HIM WORKING FREELANCE AND AS A STRUGGLING ARTIST. HE IS THE OLDER OF THE LYNN TWINS.
@MIGHTYROBBIE: How do I know if milk has gone bad without having to smell or taste it?
@MIGHTYROBBIE: I’m definitely #TeamCap but don’t tell Iron Man that, I’d still like to be his friend someday.
@MIGHTYROBBIE: I’m pretty sure Alma is trying to get me fat with all the stuff she offers me when I come over.
&&. INSIDE THE LOOKING GLASS !!
Robbie moved to New York City after being offered an unpaid internship at Marvel Comics. With nothing but a high school degree and little to no job experiences under his belt, he knew he would have to be a fool to turn it down and his brother’s support was all he needed to make the life-changing decision. They stumbled upon Woodmere after many hours of looking for something in their price-range and he believes it was one of the best thing to ever happen to them. If it weren’t for the kind hearts of Alma and Henrietta, they would have had to pack your bags within a few weeks of living in the big apple.
Although he gets to work fetching coffee to some of his idols, things aren’t going as he expected. Robbie hoped he would get discovered during his internship but no one ever bothers to even ask him about his art. He started selling some of his art online and put on ads as a freelance artist in hopes of making money and helping his brother pay the rent. But no matter how dim the light at the end of the tunnel seems, Robbie is still hoping he will get to draw comic books for a living someday.
Robbie didn’t think losing Henrietta would crush him as much as it did. He felt stupid for being so heartbroken over some nice lady when he had lost his parents and so many people in his life, but he still couldn’t help but feel like he had lost a mother all over again.
Being openly gay and a former orphan, Robbie dreams of someday being financially stable so he can adopt siblings himself because he still remembers how terrified he was of getting separated from his brother and he wants to keep people from feeling that.
Robbie is in no way anti-social and actually finds it easy to talk to others and be friendly. However, when given the choice, he would much rather stay home and watch a movie with his brother, or read comic books all night.
&&. IN LOVE & ROMANCE !!
Robert will be going with EVANS’, HUDSON’S, or CHEMISTRY and staying away from anything with NO CHEMISTRY.
THIS TENANT HERE IS BRANDON PUCKERMAN !! AS YOU CAN SEE, HE IS TWENTY-THREE YEARS OF AGE AND RESIDES IN APT. 9B. YOU CAN FIND HIM WORKING AS A WAITER AT MANHATTAN PROPER. HE IS THE OLDER OF THE PUCKERMAN TWINS.
@BRANTHEPUCK: Just made the mistake of calling an old guy and a young girl at a table of “father and daughter”. Never seen someone look so offended in my life.
@BRANTHEPUCK: @RondaRousey should marry me js.
@BRANTHEPUCK: I hate that stupid dog filter.
&&. INSIDE THE LOOKING GLASS !!
They were nineteen when the Puckerman Brothers decided to move to New York. It took a while for them to settle on where they wanted to go, but they both knew that they couldn’t spend another minute living with their dad. Both wanted to go to different places, but not wanting to be apart from each other, New York was the only place the two seemed to agree on. Without telling their father, the twins packed their stuff and drove their shared car for ten hours to get to the big city. Getting there, it wasn’t as easy to find an apartment as they thought it would be. Took them a few days living in their car, until they finally met Alma and Henrietta, two lovely old ladies who offered them a place to stay and helped them find jobs. Although Brandon was extremely thankful for having a place to stay, the male wasn’t used to the feeling of kindness in general, and had always felt like he owed the old ladies something for their help. Even three years later, he still felt like he owed Alma for her and her sister’s kindness.
With a help from Alma, Brandon got a job as a waiter at the Manhattan Proper. Back in Detroit, he used to work at construction, so he didn’t have any experience as a waiter. He found that his current job was way easier than his first one, and he even got paid more for it.
Brandon was used to death. He’d been surrounded by it since he could remember, and Henrietta’s death didn’t affect him as much as it should. He had known the old lady for three years, and although she wasn’t the nicest of the two, Brandon never had anything against any of them. He felt sorry for Alma, but not being the best at expressing emotions, Brandon kept it too himself and avoided talking to Alma more than necessary.
A few weeks after his first pay check, Brandon signed up for boxing training, something he had always wanted to do, but never had the time and money when he was younger. After a few months training and being showered with compliments from some of the trainers, Brandon was confident enough to ask his trainer if he could get him a fight, and being completely shut down by the man, telling him that he wasn’t ready, and that it took more than a few months training to become a good boxer. Hearing those words made Brandon want to train harder, and that’s what he’s been doing for the past three years.
Brandon’s sexuality wasn’t something a lot of people knew. In fact, only a handful of his friends knew about it back in Detroit, and of course, his twin brother. With moving to New York, the dark skinned male was becoming more and more confident in who he was, and suddenly his sexuality wasn’t that big of a deal. However, once his trainer found out about it, Brandon was given the advice to keep it a secret from the other fighters and trainers, simply because he still hadn’t landed a single sponsorship, and he needed that if he wanted to become a fighter.
&&. IN LOVE & ROMANCE !!
Brandon will be going with MALES & HAPPINESS and staying away from anything FORCED.
