Sixteen years ago tragedy struck the small town of Woodsboro as the Woodsboro Ripper killed eight people before being caught by police. It was hard to pick up the pieces of the small community and put them back together, but with town wide support Woodsboro came together - their strength carrying them through the years as they rebuilt their humble little town, eventually feeling like it was just as serene as it’d ever been. That was until the night of the candlelight vigil in honor of the fallen victims. Veronica Winters, a prominent high school senior, had been murdered and put on display for all of the town to see - her intestines strung out like lights in a gruesome scene. That’s when the phone calls started, anonymous numbers calling the townsfolk asking obscene questions, and explicitly threatening them. The death toll started to rise as it seemed Woodsboro was in the midst of a copycat killer. The people in this small town are once again shaken to their core, doing everything in their power to survive even just the night - but at what stakes will the town go to in order to catch this killer before it’s too late? In a town where everyone’s a suspect, who can you really trust other than yourself? The killers turned your life into a game, better play it well or it could be game over.
