Wooly Colton - Amanda the Adventurer Revise
Why? Because I'm still bitter by Wooly's treatment and I still love this series to death. Tell me if you guys like this and I'll post some alternate versions of the tape. (Some may be more alternated than the others.)
And yes, a lot of this is based on Game Theory- (If you're anti-matpat/game theory in general, please just don't interact to send hate. IDC if you don't like GT, I DO. And their theories of Wooly are much more interesting than the cannon-)
Alright, enough chit chat-
Sam Colton always wanted a child but he never got around to marrying anyone. So he decided to adopt a little girl named Rebecca. Becca was abandoned at the orphanage a while ago, and everyone at the place warned Sam about her temper problem. He didn't care though. He was willing to love her, scars and all. And Rebecca, for the most part, was a sweet, well behaved girl.
The two weren't perfect. Rebecca could be mischievous and like the orphanage workers said, she had a temper. Sam had always been a bit of a doormat, and sometimes had a problem disciplining his daughter. None of that really mattered to either of them though. They found comfort in each other and both felt like they found their real family.
If only the two hadn't met their demise...maybe those small issues could've been sorted out.
But then, Sam got the idea to create a show, thanks to his daughter for inspiration. Amanda the Adventurer. It started off small, with a very low budget, and it was live action. But Sam did his best to put in good morals and values into the show's core. And he especially made Amanda for his daughter to see herself in. It was like the two were one in the same...
It didn't take long for the show to gain traction. Soon, people outside of their town were talking about how wonderful their little show was. And around that time was when Hamlen, a totally legitimate business and NOT A CULT, approached the father. They promised to make their show even bigger than it already was. Sam and his daughter would be set FOR LIFE with how famous they could make Amanda the Adventurer.
All Sam had to do was sign the paperwork...
Sam, despite a gut feeling something was...off, agreed and the Amanda show began to take off. This time, as an animated show that engages with its audience. Sam is the head writer and even provides the voice for Wooly the Sheep (wink wink). Rebecca wasn't excluded, as she voiced the main star herself. It seemed like everything was going well, the kids loved the show and Sam saw how happy this made Rebecca.
But of course, not everything was as it seems...
As the show went on, Hamlen began to intervene with the scripts and the messages. (Totally not adding demonic shit in between-) The more Hamlen intervened, the more Sam began to question them and their methods. But they kept ignoring him, which only made Sam more uncomfortable. Rebecca was unaware of all this as she was just happy with her role.
It's at the point in the secret tape we find in the first game, "Recording Booth", when Sam began to reach his limit.
(The tape will remain the same with only a few dialogue changes.)
Director: "Rebecca, that was great. Let's move on to the next one."
Rebecca: "Bye yell, bye yell, bye yell. Pie man, pie man, pie man. Baa lamb, baa lamb, ba—"
Sam: "What...is this? What is she reading?"
Director: *sounds slightly irritated* "Just a few... simple words. Uh, this script is specifically tuned to train the technology's dynamic voice reaction."
Sam: "The fucking what? No, no, I want this to stop!"
Director: [clears throat] "Sam, why don't you take a walk for a few minutes?"
Sam: *whispers so Rebecca won't hear* "Don't you dare try changing the subject. You keep making these random decisions and you're not even asking me-"
Director: "Look, Sam. We've only got a few more of these and then Amanda—"
Sam: "What did you call her?"
Director: *suddenly gets nervous* "...I-"
Rebecca: "No! I... don't want to do that!"
Sam: "Rebecca, what's wrong? Who are you talking to?"
Rebecca: "The man in the headphones."
Sam: "There's no man— [to the Director] ...She's upset. This is going too far."
Director: "Let's just take five. Rebecca, come on out and we'll..."
What Sam was unaware of, was that Hamlen was indeed a cult. (Shocking, I know.) But this session was an attempt to summon 3 demons: Bael (bye-yell), Paimon (pie-man), and Balam (bah-lamb), 3 king demons all from the Ars Goetia. The one Rebecca had heard was Balam, telling her to finish chanting. Though different, these 3 demon kings all require hosts, mainly children, to manifest into the physical world. And with the show, Hameln also planned to lure children in to sacrifice or to also serve as hosts, to gain their knowledge and power.
Sam finally had enough of this. He wanted OUT, and he wanted to get his daughter and the rights of ATA away from Hamlen. Unfortunately, the company had…other plans.
...
Rebecca had no clue where her father went, as it had been 3 weeks since he went missing. She was devastated. He promised he'd never leave her. Had she done something wrong? Did she not behave enough for him? …Was she just not good enough anymore?
The show was also greatly affected by the disappearance of Sam. A news story breaks out about how the show's begun to change, discussing inappropriate topics for its young viewers. And kids begin to go missing, all of them fans of the show who watch it constantly.
Away from prying eyes, Sam had been locked away in an unknown location, unable to see or intervene with what Hamlen has planned for Rebecca. They propose a deal with the father: in exchange for his freedom, he needs to record a message to Amanda, telling he everything was ok, and that she can trust Hamlen. Of course, Sam says NO. But the more time passes, the worse their threats become. Until they straight up threaten to kill him and possibly his daughter. This is what eventually pushes him into being in the "Sam's Message to Rebecca" video we see.
(This, like the last secret tape, plays out mostly the same but with one MAJOR difference.)

Sam sits on a bed, reading a paper.
Hameln Representative: "...and you'll look straight into the camera here. And smile."
Sam: [sighs] "If I do this, you'll let me see her?"
Representative: "We'll have to get clearance for that, but let's just say doing this will improve your chances."
Sam: *trying to stay calm* "You know, you just can't... keep me in here. I don't know what you're trying to achieve, but people are going to be looking—"
Representative: "Okay, I'm all set. We can go ahead with your statement now."
Sam puts the paper aside, faces the camera, then hesitantly begins speaking.
Sam: "Rebecca... Babygirl... I am so proud of you. And... And I know that our... our friends... are taking care of you while I'm away. You can tr— [sighs in frustration, crumpling the paper in his hands slightly] I am NOT going to tell her she can trust you. You've got me locked up in here and you want me to act like everything is okay? This is kidnapping. It's- It's- It's coercion- It's—"
Representative: "Just say what's on the paper, Mr. Colton."
Sam: *gets louder* "This is kidnapping! It's coercion! It's WRONG, YOU—"
Representative: "Mr. Colton, if you wish... one of my associates will gladly provide you with a copy of your signed contract. You agreed to this-"
Sam: *suddenly stands up* "I DID NOT AGREE TO LIE TO MY DAUGHTER!!"
The room becomes silent, with only Sam's heavy breathing being heard. There was a click of a gun, making Sam stiffen up and slowly sit back down.
Representative: *sighs heavily* "...You know she's not really your daughter, right? She's just some stray kitten you brought home. You should be thankful we're even acknowledging her existence at all..."
It was subtle, but if you looked closely, you see Sam's right eye twitch slightly. That's when a staticy voice came in from the background.
Voice on Radio: "Operations South Corridor. Go ahead."
Representative: "This is gonna take some time. Mr. Colton isn't exactly... cooperative... today, but I got something. I'll bring over the tape for editing."
Voice on Radio: "And you've recorded all proceedings?"
While the man seemingly had his back turned, Sam reached under the covers of the bed he was sitting on. It was hard to see, but it looked sharp. Maybe a pair of scissors he managed to find.
Representative: "Still running. Can you send someone down for the lock-up protocol?"
Voice on Radio: "Copy that. What's your authorization number?"
Representative: [clears throat] "Five. Four. Three. Alpha. Tango. Alpha. Six. Seven."
Sam, as quietly as possible, stood up again and slowly went out of view of the camera.
Voice on Radio: "Security escort will arrive in 90 seconds. You have clearance to stop recording."
Representative: "All right, Mr. Colton. If this is how you're gonna behave, we'll do what we ca-"
A sickening slicing sound was heard followed by the gurgling of someone choking on their own blood. Before long, the sound of something thumping onto the floor. Silence filled the room again, before Sam came back into view. His face looked shocked and he was now covered in blood.
Sam: ...Shit. Shit shit shit- *bumps into the camera* Damnit-
Screen turns to static.

(Note: Am I wrong for thinking the way Sam got interrupted in this tape was VERY similar to how much Wooly got interrupted constantly by Amanda, especially in the farm animal tape? Like come the hell ON!!)
After this, Sam escaped the location through the skin of his teeth. However, the place had been far away from the studio Amanda was. So, Sam had to go "on the lamb" so to speak (wink WINK-) for those 3 weeks he was presumed missing. The main thing keeping him going was his little girl.
Unfortunately, the footage that was recorded of him was heavily edited by Hamlen in order to convince Rebecca that her father left her. She felt betrayed, though the love of her father still remained, it was blanketed over with anger and bitterness of having seemingly been abandoned twice.
Hamlen took advantage of this by having her sign the contract we see in the "Security Footage" tape. It was one that supposedly emancipated her from her father so she could make her own decisions on the show. Because she was only 5 years old at the time this happened, and already being upset about Sam's disappearance, she didn't question it and signed off, which in reality gave Hamlen permission to do what they want. (Not really though, because minors can't legally sign shit XD)
That's when she's led into an isolated room, where they begin to experiment on her...
Finally, Sam managed to get back to the place where Rebecca was kept. Unfortunately, he got there after the surgery was done. The demon was summoned and Rebecca's subconscious was trapped in the ATA tapes. Sam wasn't aware of this and this was the one recording in the "Rebecca's Room" tape. Mainly to get evidence of Hamlen's wrongdoings to the proper authorities.
However, he's nearly caught and makes a run for it. Along the way, he suddenly encounters the demon that was brought here by Rebecca, and has a connection with her. Sam, in a panicked state, attempts to kill the demon.
Unfortunately...this led to Rebecca being killed...because of him...
It doesn't take long for Sam to realize what he had done. He's devastated. He hadn't meant for this to happen. If only he had said no to that director. If he had just stuck to the low budget, or even not bothered with the stupid show at all!!
If he had... Rebecca wouldn't have died by his hands.
Seeing Sam's desperation, crying at his now deceased daughter's side, another one of the heads for Hamlen approached.
Not angry. Way too calm.
He explained everything about the tapes to Sam, and how he could be with his daughter again if he just cooperated and let them plug his mind into the tapes as well.
Sam wanted to be mad. Scream in their face, telling them to just kill him already. He had nothing left to lose. His daughter was gone...but, if what they said was true, then... there's a chance for them to be together again... And maybe he could have a chance to protect whatever's left of her in Amanda from Hamlen.
So he agreed. A part of him felt he was being selfish. Falling in line with these people for the vague promise of being with his daughter again. The one who was in a body that wasn't her own. But he didn't care.
He just wanted to be with her again.
What Hamlen neglected to mention was that their memories of their past lives...were poor. Both Amanda/Rebecca and Wooly/Sam could only recall bits and pieces. But they barely remembered who they were before, and were now in the control of Hamlen, who were leading more children to their demise. The two remained prisoners in the tape, even after the show's cancelation.
That was until Riley came along
