Usually DW spends countless nights in the tower which is worrying in itself but SOMEHOW LP would convince drake to go home, and even if he doesn't sleep, at least he's in a nicer environment

Also Launchpad's there cause he doesn't trust him to stay put, I'd imagine on countless occasions he's caught Drake attempting to return to the tower so them chilling in Drake's room together is more or less a precaution
