Day of Arafah

How to Make The Most Of It?

1) Fast

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "fasting on the day of 'Arafa expiates the sins of the preceding year and the coming year.”

[Sahih Muslim 1162b]

2) Make Dua

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “The best of supplication is the supplication of the Day of `Arafah. And the best of what I and the Prophets before me have said is:

Lā ilāha illallāh, waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, wa huwa `alā kulli shai’in qadīr.’”

[Sahih Muslim 1162b]

3) Make Dhikr

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, There are no days that are greater before Allaah or in which good deeds are more beloved to Him, than these ten days, so recite a great deal of 1) Tahleel (Laa ILaaha IL LaL Laah), 2) Takbeer (Allahu Akbar) and 3) Tahmeed (AL Hamdulillah) during them.

4) Seek Forgiveness

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "There is no day on which Allah sets free more slaves from Hell than He does on the Day of 'Arafah."
