The most beneficial things to the nafs [the ego] are the things it dislikes, the same way that the most harmful and destructive things to it are the things it loves.

Allah will not change the blessing of people until they stop showing gratitude for it. This is the reality of life. The secret to maintaining Na'ma (blessing), is to maintain Shukr (gratitude).
Hamza Yusuf
Stay away from gossip & rumours. They will leave you bankrupt on Judgement Day. All your good deeds will come to nothing with such acts!
Mufti menk
"I'm sorry" is not a password to continue hurting others. If you're really sorry, you will stop the harm & try to undo the damage.
- Mufti Menk
Whoever's soul leaves his body while he is free from three: arrogance, grudges and debt, will enter Jannah.
- Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
Soft words soften hearts that are harder than rock, harsh words harden hearts that are softer than silk.
- Imam Al Ghazali (ra)
When Allah gives you a "NO" give Him a "Alhamdulillah" He may be protecting you from something very bad.

Fajr query?
A woman asked a mufti : "What should I do to my kids to wake them up for Fajr due to their heavy sleep?" The mufti said: "What will you do if there is a fire in the house and they are sleeping ??" She said : "I'll wake them up." Mufti replied: But if their sleep is heavy ?? She then said: " By Allaah ! I will wake them up or I will drag them by their necks." The Mufti then said: "If this is what you are going to do to save them from the fire of the dunya then do the same to save them from the blazing fire of the hereafter...!" May Allah guide us all!

*Posts a picture of him/her with an AK-47* *Thinks S/He’s so cool* _____ Nah. You are not. Definitely not, rather you give a new opportunity for the media to give a harsh description on your religion. Yes, you read that right, you’re a Muslim and you know you don’t need to be a celebrity to get your name out there, you just need to be Muslim. Astagfirullah. Harsh but that’s reality. So we better be more cautious on whatever we post over the internet, because as a Muslim you’re not just representing your family name, it’s your whole religion, you alone is a representative of all the Muslims in this world. -and this is something we forget. _____ To those who like to post images of these likes, some are even putting the Qur’an next to it, what does this gain you? Does it benefit you in anyway? I have seen this with my own eyes, and it is very apparent on the internet. O brothers who yearn to be the likes of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad SAWS, did you ever read about them pulling out their swords and showcasing it? And my dear sisters, have you ever read about Fatimah RA or Aishah RA putting out swords and guns and showcases it amongst other Sahabiyyat? It is very alarming that we see even niqaabi sisters posting up pictures with guns around them, remember the female companions never did this. Let me tell you something that might make you think twice next time you intend of posting a picture like this. (It’s a short description and you can find the dalil on the end of this article if you wish to learn more about it.) During the caliphate of ‘Uthmaan Ibn Affan Radiyallahu Anhu, he made a firm method of ruling pertaining to those who show off their weapons. He used to denounce those whom he saw committing evil or carrying weapons, and he would expel them from Madinah. “It was narrated that Salim Ibn Abdullah Radiyallahu Anhu said: “If ‘Uthmaan saw any of them committing evil or unsheathing a weapon, wielding a stick or anything more than that, openly, he would banish them.” _____ My brothers and sisters in Islam, it is not befitting for a Muslim to show off these weapons out like this, Muslims are known for their courage and we need not any pictures like these to justify that. We need not to show people that we are strong or we would fight back by showing such pictures. And we pray that Allah Azza Wa Jall makes everyone of us ,before reacting “violently” on this post, calm and also be given the time to make this sink in and reflect from it. Amin.
