❛ so, i was thinking we could —- oh, hey flynn. ❜ he takes a moment to adjust after poofing in, a hand settling at the nape of his neck. she wasn’t exactly who he thought was going to be in the garage, but he can adjust. luke fiddles with his hair for a moment before he smiles at her, pressing his other hand flat atop the piano and leaning against it. ❛ what’s crackin’ ? ❜
@wordsimostregret.
“ah!” flynn jumped at luke’s sudden appearance, before schooling her expression into a glare once she registered what was happening. “okay, look, boy, i don’t care how cute you are, you can not just sneak up on people like that!” though being able to see luke even when he wasn’t playing music certainly made things a little more convenient, she had yet to get used to all the... poofing. “we need to get a bell around your neck, like a cat, because this - freaks me out.”
amillixnvoices:
Alex was much calmer than Luke, he always had been, and he had to admit that it was kind of calming to see that none of that had changed ever since their untimely demise. He had definitely been out and about more than the other boys, with Reggie spending his time trying to somehow befriend Julie’s Dad, while Luke had been focused on his music. “What movie do you want to see?” He then asked with a chuckle. “It has to be something not as popular though, I don’t want anyone accidentally sitting on me,”
“anything, man. i’d even take a chick flick at this rate, that’s how bored i am.” luke stood from his seat, tugging his sleeveless hoodie on over his shoulders. “and don’t worry about that. i’ll be there to make sure no one sits on you. besides - the only people that go to the movies during this time of day are like, old ladies. they move slow enough that you’d be able to poof outta the way before they got to you.”
skateghosted:
Boom. That’s what Willie was aware of as he once again ran into another ghost. How did this keep happening? He clearly needed to stop skating through people. But lifers made it easy. Skating through them gave him its own little thrill. However, failing to skate through ghosts was not fun. It took a moment for Willie, as he lay back on the sidewalk, to realize that he knew the ghost that was talking to him. He sits up with a wince, clearing his throat, “Oh, hey Luke,” he says with a grunt. “Sorry, I didn’t recognize you from behind. I thought you were a lifer, obviously. Are you okay?” He sweeps his hair back, a grin coming to his face, “Band practice, huh? Are you sure that’d be okay? I don’t want to intrude or anything.”
“no worries, bro, you’re good.” luke chuckled, reaching his hand out in offering to help willie up. “and yeah, come on, i wouldn’t invite you if it wasn’t cool. besides, uh...” with a small, sly smirk, he glanced away, trying to be casual despite his inability to ever really be truly subtle. “i think... reggie really wanted to see you again. the dude thinks you’re really nice, and your hair is awesome, and i have to say, he’s not wrong about either of those things.”
hey, quick little reminder (i adjusted my about page to list this, so people know, but in case anyone doesn’t), i’m currently only looking to write with canon characters from jatp on this blog. in the future, that might change, once i’m more used to writing these muses, but if you’re following me and don’t have any characters from the show in your muse list, that’s probably why i haven’t followed you back! i do have a mumu indie @chmpgneflwrs, as well as an ander munoz indie @amunoz, both of which are crossover/oc friendly, so if you’d like to write with me in the meantime, feel free to go check those out!
i think i’ve given a starter to everyone that wanted one, (though ik there’s a couple of you i owe a second starter for as well) but if i’ve missed you please let me know!
“this is boring. i’m bored.” with a loud groan, luke tossed his notebook aside, turning to alex with a shake of his head and dangerous twinkle in his eye. “we can go anywhere we want, and we’re just spending our days while julie’s at school, sitting here, doing nothing. let’s go do something. go to an arcade, a movie, something, you know? i mean, do you know how many movies we’ve missed? tons. and sneaking in has to be super easy when you’re invisible.” @amillixnvoices
“julie...? jules?” now that she knew that there were three ghosts currently living in julie’s garage, the place kind of gave her the creeps, at least when she was in there by herself. sure, the boys were the least intimidating ghosts she could really imagine, but not knowing whether or not she was being watched was just... super creepy. “okay, if you boys are in here, i’m gonna need you to either start playing music, or leave, because you’re totally giving me the heebie jeebies right now.” @sunsetlead
edgeofghost:
caleb wasn’t surprised to find luke back in his club, demanding something from him. in fact he was only surprised it had taken the boys this long to come back, to look for answers to their questions, whether they liked it or not, he was the only person dead or alive who had them. they’d be back, just like he’d told william a few days earlier. “you’re right about that.” caleb spoke, excusing himself from conversation with his guests before he turned his full attention to luke. he had a few questions of his own. he’d offered the boys something no one else could and they’d turned him down, they’d survived some how, not crossing over, not succumbing to his own brand of magic. “well then, why don’t we take this conversation somewhere a little more private.”
a split second later and caleb had poofed them away from the noise of the club, into the penthouse the floor above, overlooking the city and beyond. “welcome to my home.” he spoke, spinning around as he walked into the room, shrugging out of his cape and handing it off to an attended who seemed to appear right on cue as if out of thin air. “can i get you anything? a drink? something to eat? narrowly escaping the end of your existence must have left you feeling at least a little peckish?”
“whoa.” it took luke a second to get his bearings in the sudden change of location, and though he was kind of impressed by caleb’s fancy home, it only made him all the more nervous. then again... it’s not like the guy could kill him, right? he was already dead. plus, he could just poof out if he needed to. “i’m not hungry. and your meatball subs weren’t even that good, anyway, so...” a pretty obvious lie, but he wasn’t going to give this guy any unnecessary compliments. not unless he did what was right. rolling his shoulders back and forcing himself to forget about the taste of the delicious food he’d been thinking about for days, luke made himself stand as tall as he could and looked caleb in the eye, showing him he meant business. “you need to let willie go free. what you’re doing is like, totally uncool, and it needs to stop. now.”

❝ sorry that i hurt you. ❞ apologizing was always the hardest part. luke’s passion for his music and his determination to reach his goals were his defining characteristics, and occasionally he let that overshadow everything else, & despite his good intentions ended up disregarding others’ feelings. it was something he tried to be better about every day. still, he had his dumb moments, and he’d managed to make alex upset. ❝ i don’t want to do this to you. i don’t want to lose this with you. ❞
“yeah, well.” alex shrugged, keeping his hands busy with cleaning off his drum set, rather than having to look luke in the eye. confrontation definitely wasn’t something he tended to enjoy, especially with the people he cared about. or... the ghosts he cared about. “it’s in the past, you know? we’re good.” they had to be. after a few more long moments of silence, alex finally looked up at his friend, hesitating and trying to figure out the answer to the question himself, before just going for it. “can i ask what you mean by this, though? are you talking about the band, or...?”

okay i think i fixed my theme, let’s hope it stays that way
was luke thrilled about having to return to the hollywood ghost club? especially considering that he couldn’t even stop to eat any of the meatball subs? no, not at all. but he owed this to alex. the guy was his best friend - well, tied for the spot anyway, and yeah, at one time, maybe a little more. he’d seen him go through so much, and now alex had finally seemed to have found that special someone he’d been waiting for. only - surprise, surprise - caleb covington seemed desperate to try and ruin that for them, too. the dude seriously needed to get some kind of hobby that wasn’t just trying to make their lives miserable, because it was getting like, super old.
as he stepped further into the building, luke was starting to regret his decision to not tell anyone where he’d been heading, but he knew they’d only tell him it was a bad idea anyway. which it totally was, but that wasn’t about to stop him. he wasn’t going to give up without even trying. he just didn’t have that in him. fortunately, it didn’t take too long to find mr. covington - the guy’s wardrobe wasn’t exactly discreet - and he quickly tapped on his shoulder before he could change his mind. “look, dude - mister, we need to talk.” @edgeofghost
“oh, hey, man.” as nice as the garage was, sometimes a dude just had to get out for some fresh air. what he hadn’t been expecting on his stroll downtown, however, was to run into willie. not literally, fortunately, considering he wasn’t sure where a ghost would even go to treat any sort of skateboard-collision related injuries. “you know, we’ve got a band practice later today, you should totally stop by. we could use some feedback.” did his invitation have much more to do with wanting to see the little smile alex got on his face whenever willie was around, rather than anything to do with actually needing some reviews of their new songs? maybe. but he had a feeling - or at least hoped - that neither willie or alex would mind too much. “how’ve you been, by the way?” @skateghosted
