I found your fic and absolutely love it! A little upset at the recent chapter, but it a good way?? I don’t really know how to explain the feeling, but I look forward to your updates.
I saw your drawings and they’re adorable😍 you wouldn’t have any tips on how to improve would you? Asking as a newbie who’s art could use…improvement
OH my ! Glad you like it! Sorry the newest chapter is upsetting, I'm happy you're looking forward to the next update! Thank you so much! Oh boy, I do have many... way too many tips...
There are basic stuff that you can learn from you tube and google, like color theories, anatomy, basic shapes, compositions... and a lot more. It might get confusing. I do have two personal advices for anyone interested in drawing though: 1. Always use References Even professionals use references, it's not an embarrassing thing to use references. I would suggest compiling several references, maybe one for pose, another one for clothes, the other for whatever: background, misc details like accessories, muscles. For dynamic poses, I recommend taking a video of yourself doing an action and pausing it! The pose will look more dynamic than a still photo. 2. Have fun with the process!
Don't be afraid to explore your style, and just draw whatever you want! The most important thing with drawing is to just have fun. You do have to practice a lot, which is why I recommend to have fun while drawing so you won't an art block or a burnout. When you do get them, just take some break! Forget about drawing and just do other activities to relax! Hope I helped! Thanks for visiting my Tumblr!
Look at who’s the dog now!
“BAHAHAHA! Look at who’s the dog now!” Hinoka shouted, index finger pointing rudely at Kakashi's clone. The clone looked annoyed, but only narrowed his eyes in response to Hinoka’s taunting, then completely ignored her and kept following Shisui’s whim to crawl around the picnic mat. Shisui’s airy laugh filled the air, “More! More!”

is fanfic art?
This question has cropped up in my online interactions lately, and to be perfectly blunt, I think it's a pretty stupid one.
Of course fanfic is art. It's a creative expression of human emotion and imagination. If that ain't art, I don't know what is.
I think a more important question to ask is, "Who benefits from saying fanfic isn't art?" The answer to that is way more interesting.
This is part of a long struggle between those using "art" to mean a creative endeavor vs. those using it to mean a creative success. For the latter group, it isn't art if it doesn't clear some threshold for aesthetics or meaning or whatever. I tend not to have a lot of patience for this view, since in my experience the people who hold it always conveniently place themselves in the group qualified to judge if the bar has been cleared.
Even under the second definition the answer should be "sometimes", just as it should be for any other slice of the creative pie, but Sturgeon's Revelation holds here as in so many other places. People will willingly cherry-pick the best of the forms of expression they like, compare it to the worst of the forms they despise, and claim it's a fair and meaningful comparison.
As for who benefits, as far as I can tell the biggest sin of fanfic (or fan art) is its amateur status. Even ignoring more than a millennium of pre-Romantic writing where openly derivative creation was the norm at all levels, there's a boat-load of situations today where people professionally using characters and/or settings created by someone else. Ongoing TV or comic series, adaptations from one media to another, licensed spin-off materials, professionally published (and copyrighted) works based on public-domain ones. None of these are inherently less derivative than fanfic, but few if any of fanfic's loudest critics seem to notice.
I note that amateurly published original works, although they don't garner the same level of contempt as fanfic, will also be dismissed without being given a reading. If they were serious writers, they would try to get published. There is no possibility acknowledged of having the skill to write quality work without the desire to make money off of it.
I think some people find it deeply threatening that others are out there being creative without an ultimate payout in mind.
Doodles Dumps: Chapter 3 Ablaze Snippets
Hinoka approached the boy closer. She decided to place her suspicion aside and smiled, trying to appear friendly while her mind was reeling with memories trying to remember who the boy was.
She offered her right hand out of an old habit as a greeting.
“I’m Hinoka! You look awfully young to be practicing C-ranked Ninjutsu? Are you an academy student?”
Shisui looked at her hand unsurely, seemingly unaccustomed to such a form of greeting.
She smiled patiently at him. Waiting.
He put a hundred Ryo on her hand instead.
“Uh… is this enough as an apology? I have more at home, but this is all I have for now.” Shisui trailed off, voice starting to grow with panic and guilt.
“I’m Uchiha Shisui, and no I haven't entered the academy yet!” He belatedly added.
Hinoka blinked dumbly, both at the realization that she had been talking with Uchiha Shisui and at the hundred Ryo on her opened palm.
She laughed in his face.
“BAHAHA—! This is a form of greeting! You are supposed to shake it, like how you do the reconciliation seal after a spar.” Hinoka said as she put the Ryo coin back into Shisui's right hand, and went ahead to shake his empty left hand.
Shisui unsurely shakes the hand, one of his eyebrows rises, inspecting the uncommon way of greetings
“Like this? Should I shake it faster?” He asks, seemingly eager.
“Woah—Nope, this is enough. and then you let go of the hand.” She let his hand go as an example.
Shisui inspected his left hand with a gleam of interest, “Ooh, never knew that! Is that the Hyuuga’s form of greeting? By the way, your hand is pretty rough. Have you practiced kunai throwing yet?” He chirped excitedly.
Wow. Isn’t this boy full of energy?
“Yeah!—I created this greeting,” She lied, and rubbed a hand to the back of her neck nervously, “It’s too formal if you have to bow every time you meet people, this greeting is more… Casual! And yep, I’ve practiced kunai throwing.”
She opened her backpack and showed the kunai and shuriken she brought and offered to train together. He agreed and they both started training and learning together randomly.
(It’s not until later she realizes Shisui is in fact, Tomoe-san’s son)
Yeah, I had these super rough doodles in my PC, and decided to just upload it without translating it. The dialogues are pretty much the same, just in Japanese (It's a horrendous handwriting, I know.) Made this, long before I created the final design of Hinoka, and chapter 3. Page 04 is just concepts doodles, probably won't make it into the final drafts. Oh right, there was supposed to be the 'I thought you were a boy!' trope with Shisui and Hinoka, but I changed my mind.
"You're our turtle."
Shisui frowned, "Are you saying I'm slow?"
Kakashi was panicking, his eyes darted to Sakumo, and then Hinoka for help.
They only stared at him, enjoying his suffering. His face fell into a resigned look, he turned to Shisui.

Five [MASTERPOST]
A Kakashi-centric Naruto fan comic centering around the events that occurred when Kakashi was five years old, from his early graduation to his father’s suicide.
Please note that this is a story about a child soldier living in a world where being raised for war is commonplace, so there is a global content warning for this sort of child abuse, gore/violence, and death.
