when people are like “I’d rather work anywhere than an office” it’s like bro. that’s what the office is for. you want to work remotely in a field somewhere? you want to work in cafes and at home and stuff? like I understand a lot of work can be done from home or traveling but I’m like. working in an office is good because then only offices remind me of work lol

whenever I try to look at movie tickets for the theater around the corner this caution at the bottom never fails to amuse me. I get that someone could be buying a ticket for the very same day... but I always think why wouldn't I want to buy a ticket for an event just because it's taking place in the future? that's kind of like exactly when I would hope it would take place

reading this book on the lives of artists and it says about this guy who loved horses “Tragically, Gericault died at the age of 32, as a result of his reckless lifestyle and a series of [horse] riding accidents.” and I pictured this guy in 1824 drunk driving his horse, taking too wide of a turn and slamming it into a brick wall head on

it's easy to make fun of marxists for being like "we have a special way of understanding society called Thinking About Things That Are Real" but to be fair if you ask the average person what their ideas about society are based on they will start listing some of the Least Real things to ever not exist

last time I lived with random people in a house I went to go bake banana bread or something and after the over was preheated I was like hmmm what’s that smell? or maybe there was smoke or something idr. anyway when I opened the oven I discovered that a bunch of plastic kitchen stuff was in the broiler, and had melted into a metal muffin pan or something. it was a huge mess. when the one roommate came in I was like “hey is this your stuff?” and she was like “oh my god yes what happened???” and I was like “you left plastic in the broiler.” and she responds “that isn’t a storage drawer?” and I was like “I mean I guess so. but it only really works with metal stuff?” anyway I eventually was asked to move out because I accidentally fucked her exgf without knowing either of them were gay
