"Leon” - Jiyoung’s next movie is announced!
Jiyoung's new movie “Leon” was announced today. It's her first movie from a novel, co-starring the prestigious actor Takenaka Naoto. It is a comedy where Takanashi Reon (Jiyoung) and Asahina Reo (Takenaka Naoto) changed bodies due to an accident. The scriptwriter of “Heroine Shikkaku” is also the one responsible for this film. The filming ended this year February. The movie premiere will be on 2018.
Jiyoung's comment: This time I was given the chance to work with Takenaka-san. I was fascinated by him even before my solo debut in Japan, he's one of the actors I like. I never imagined that I could co-star him. Moreover, it was a role where I'll replace Takenaka-san, so I was excited all along the shooting process. He also speaks to me very kindly on the set, he also gives advice on creating the role, it helped me a lot. I was very encouraged, and I learned a lot. When we changed roles, I became Asahina, the one played by Takenaka-san, and I became the pervert old president. The feeling was refreshing. I also challenged the facial expression of being 'on-the-limit!?', I would definitely like everyone to have fun and watch it.
Takenaka Naoto's comment: I wonder if it's okay? I'm thinking while I was given the chance to take part. Suddenly I realized that the people around me are all young people. Before I knew it, feeling the freshness of being the grandfather, the shooting scenes passed in no time. The schedule didn't let us wait for anything. For Jiyoung and I to be replacing each other and also act is something I can't imagine myself. Following Director Tsukamoto's directions, I wonder what kind of movie it will be......feeling the beauty of Jiyoung, I moved my heart and my body as I act (like her). Jiyoung is really charming, kind, and beautiful, sometimes boyish and soft woman. Jiyoung is an actress with lots of hidden possibilities. Even as a comedian, I felt that she's that person who has great energy......I'm very much grateful to meet Jiyoung.
