Hiii, I'm going to cross post my little 4am analysis on the dancing teams in the VDC.
It's something very controversial (?) but the distribution of the dancing acts is very interesting.
Vil's includes 7 people, which has a PERFECT SYMMETRY.
It consists of 3 main vocals (purple), with Vil in the front center and 4 back vocals (blue).
So Vil stands out YET is a part of the group. The distribution of everyone ensures they all are seen as well. They work as a group with Vil as leader.
Meanwhile, Neige has an 8 person group where he is the lead, unquestionably. It is symmetric, yet there is a blatant difference between him as lead (yellow) and the rest (red). It's Neige and the rainbow dwarves, where they all serve as background for him. In fact in some angles you wouldn't be able to see one of the dwarves BECAUSE NEIGE IS IN THE MIDDLE.
I actually think it reflects things interestingly. Even if Vil wants to stand out, he doesn't leave others on the shadow, given he UNDERSTANDS how it feels like. While he wants to win for his ego, he sees the team as a unit. He wants them ALL to shine. He trained and polished everyone, when he could have just stood out by himself.
Meanwhile Neige doesn't know what it feels like to be in the shadow. He has ALWAYS been the lead. He is used to that and thus, while he wants everyone to join in the song, he is the center and no one else. He doesn't conceive that others might want to see what's his name dwarf. He is the star. In a way, he cannot empathize with how Vil or the back props (the dwarves) feel like because why would he? He's innocently inconsiderate because he has ALWAYS been the lead thanks to how he looks.
Is he a bad person? Not really. But his interest (I want everyone to sing along) in others can feel shallow because he can't really connect to how others feel because he hasn't experienced that, how it feels to work hard and not achieve your goal.
